We asked if our room could be cleaned as it was very dusty, but she responded aggressively, saying we should have informed them upon arrival. Her tone made us feel as though we were asking for a free stay rather than a standard service, and she came across as quite rude. Aside from this incident, the rest of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant was nice"

My wife and I have stayed two different times separated by several years and both times we were impressed by the comfort, cleanliness, and hospitality we experienced. The restaurant food and service are excellent and the spa and pool are clean and never crowded. The Astoria is very well-located, an easy walk to ski rentals and ski lifts as well as the Arosa train station. We found it to be a perfect location for a Winter ski vacation - at a very reasonable room rate. We look forward to returning again soon!"

Efficiently managed, with friendly, efficient staff, everything is impeccably maintained at all levels and all areas, meaning every room and element one comes across looks great and is immaculately clean. The rooms are beautifully, aesthetically designed, but also highly efficient and practical. The Spa is world-beating, truly best-in-class, and having a ski lift (plus ski rental) in the hotel is, obviously, kind of mind-blowing. The only (minor) off note was a rude maitre in the main restaurant, but he can be overlooked. If you want to splash out, do it somewhere like this, where you feel that every franc you spend is going into a wonderful overall experience."
