"Our host, Louis, was very kind. Thanks to him, we had a comfortable stay! There are supermarkets, including Carrefour, within a 10-minute walk. There is a bus stop nearby, but the number of buses is greatly reduced on Saturdays and evenings. It takes almost 40 minutes to walk to the center of Papeete. There are no rental bicycles, so it's better to get an international license and rent a scooter in the city. The return flight leaves at 8:30 in the morning. Louis arranged for a taxi to be taken by someone he knows. Thank you!"

"I don't normally do shared bathroom but this was a last-minute booking as my hotel reservation fell through. As long as you don't mind shared bathroom, it's a great place to stay. Reception is super friendly, the room is modern, clean and comfortable. I didn't live how the shower turned off every few seconds."

"Had a great stay here everyone was so nice. We did have a rough start to our Dinner at Le Lotus the high end restaurant. But the manager was there to make it a wonderful experience. The food and service ended up being great. Will go back"

Hotel Reva Tahiti

Hotel Reva Tahiti

📍 Ave du Prince Hīnoi, Papeete
★★★ 8.7 (40 reviews)

"A true escape in the heart of Papeete. The Reva Tahiti hotel perfectly blends modernity and Polynesian spirit, creating an elegant and soothing atmosphere. The rooms are comfortable, beautifully decorated, with exceptional bedding, and you immediately feel at home. You truly feel removed from the hustle and bustle: a haven of calm in the very center. The location is ideal, everything is just steps away: restaurants, amenities, the ferry terminal… perfect for a short stay or a longer visit. The breakfast buffet is excellent, with a lovely variety of fresh tropical fruits. And a big thank you to the staff, who are both delightful and highly professional. I will be back!"

"The most important thing to mention: it has a Japanese restaurant on-site! Very good news for Asian travelers. One the international brand hotels on the island. Close to the airport and downtown. It also has a supermarket across the street. The view is ok but nothing too special. It has a big swimming pool but no private beach. All the rooms are in the main building. It does not have a private lagoon or any overwater bungalows. Overall, it is a nice place to stay just for few days, especially if you need to catch a flight. However, if you are planning to spend most of your time on Tahiti, I recommend to consider a resort hotel."

Tahiti Pearl Beach Resort ★★★★
"Initially, I tried contacting the hotel through Ctrip, but it seemed impossible, and there was no response when I contacted the hotel directly. However, once I arrived at the hotel, the service was excellent; the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The hotel's traditional coconut milk tuna salad was delicious. There were a lot of termites at the beginning of the night, flying around the lights. I don't know if they would exterminate the termites at a certain time, or if other guests had complained, or if the termites simply disappeared after a certain time, but they were all gone as soon as I turned around. The room was quite large, with two sinks and two toilets, and a double seven-color illuminated bathtub in the room."

The Brando, Tetiaroa Private Island ★★★★★
"My husband and I stayed 6 nights at the Brando. People may tell you that is too long, but don’t believe it! I dove 2 days, we enjoyed intimate meals with new friends, and the spa was well-run and peaceful. The rooms are very private and your private beach is enormous (maybe 1/4 acre?). I always use Pacific for Less when booking French Polynesia. Travel is flawless and they are always available for support. Claudia and Cathi know everything South Pacific. I have been to FP 13 times, but this was my first to the Brando. I have already booked a return trip to bring family in September for whale watching!"

InterContinental Tahiti Resort & Spa ★★★★★
"This hotel is beyond overpriced. I thought it was going to be a luxory hotel stay with 5* service but it wasnt. The room is as bog standard is it comes. The ocean view was really a partial view. The room smelt bad, like damp and the shower was the most complicated thing to work and the shower head could never be worked, only the rain shower option was doable. Whats worse is the room we were given was above the end of the restaurant. The restaurant workers would smoke below our balcony and that would waft up to our balcony. Moreover, it was a birthday stay and not once did the hotel do anything to recognize the birthday. Other hotels I have stayed in, in the past, would always provide complimentary cake or dessert or treats for a birthday. This hotel did absoultely nothing, despitw being informed. I would love to know how they get away with charging 5* prices without the 5* service. Highly dissappointing. The corridoors also are not kept up to standard and finding random holes in the ground was common."

Hotel Reva Tahiti ★★★
"The recently opened Hotel REVA is the perfect place for a few nights in Papeete. Close to the city center, the market, and the ferry terminal for the islands, it allows you to explore everything on foot. The rooms are spacious, bright, and tastefully decorated. Large TVs, kitchenettes, and terraces with views of Tahiti: I loved it! Everything is very well soundproofed, and you sleep wonderfully, a world away from the hustle and bustle of the nearby city. The staff is charming, the welcome is warm, and the breakfast buffet is delicious. I will gladly return."

Hilton Hotel Tahiti ★★★★
"Overall this was a very good hotel. We got a great rate through Trip.com for an ocean view room and the room faced both the pool and ocean. We went right after Christmas and although busy for the holiday etc. the resort itself did not feel as though it was at full capacity. We only stayed one night as we were leaving for Moorea the next morning (which in my opinion is a much nicer island) and only a quick 30 min fast ferry ride. The resort is very conveniently located across the street next to a large grocery store and small food court with great food and accessible through a 3-min walkway bridge from hotel (I only found out about this through TripAdvisor lol). Great way to save some money on meals and drinks etc. The hotel is a quick 10 min cab ride to the ferry in one direction and 15 min to the airport in the other direction. There really wasn’t anything wrong with the hotel other than that it was just basic. Updated rooms but nothing fancy and the only downside is that there isn’t anything to do on property etc. unlike some other resorts where you can actually paddle board, kayak, or snorkel on-site. Either way, the resort did its job, customer service was excellent, pool was a great size (substantial to swim in) and super clean, property was beautiful and clean in the lobby areas and we’d stay again in transit to the other islands."

"Nice deco, spacious and clean room, however, amenities like toothbrush, slippers, etc., aren’t provided. Downstairs was very loud and noisy, can’t really sleep ( traffic, bar, karaoke). Probably not worth it at this price."
