Ibis Budget Castelnaudary - A61
"The room is small enough, no small towels"
Hôtel le Donjon - Cœur de La Cité Médiévale
"We did not receive advice that the the hotel cannot be accessed by car, so Satnav is not helpful. It was almost 9pm when we left the airport 11minutes away by car, but we did not arrive until 90 minutes, within the traffic-free old city. Phone calls to the hotel (separate phones, several occasions) connected us to a Tesla Charging number(we had a VW hire car|) or an Agent Immobilier. By asking local people on the street and in a restaurant, we eventually arrived at a secure hotel carpark with electronic code access, a young man appeared as he was locking up for the night. He told us we were lucky to find him there. We parked and were transported by him via a circuitous and improbable route through the fortifications. Why were we not given directions to this car park and why was this system not explained to us? Diabolical!"
Zenitude Hôtel-Résidences Narbonne Centre
"Wonderful stay"
Hotel la Chaumière
"Sadly a rather poor show this evening. Slow service, actually very slow, but due not to the young lady serving, but due to her being left alone to serve about 30 covers, food and drinks 😡. The mains were quite nice, but the cheese platter? Two microscopic pieces of cheese, one of which had certainly seen better days, and no bread until requested, twice! Shall we return, I think not 🤣"
Zenitude Hôtel-Résidences Carcassonne
"Feel good."
Sowell Hotels les Chevaliers
"The front desk staff was very nice. When I arrived at the hotel that day, I found that I had left my wallet in the safe of the Arles hotel. I don't speak French, but I can communicate in English on the phone very smoothly. I asked the front desk to help me call the hotel in Arles. She not only helped me contact enthusiastically, but also gave me a lot of good ideas. Yes, my wallet and the cash inside were returned intact. Thank you very much🙏"
Premiere Classe Carcassonne
"A first class like all the others ... But then there, dirty room, many hairs present on the mattress pad, 1 pillow per person, flat pillow ... So pillows that did not do their first function. Non-existent heating, 17 degrees in the room, air conditioning not adjustable on the hot part, and heating disconnected. It was really a stopgap ... But at 32€ per night it was to be expected"
O'Bonheur de Hamma
"The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable and it is very good to be a place at Agnes when it arrives."
Ibis Styles Castelnaudary
"The room was spacious and we took advantage of the pool. Abundant and varied breakfast. We had dinner in the restaurant and the service was a little slow because it was full but the food was good."

The Originals City, Hôtel le Puech, Narbonne
"We stayed in this hotel as a stopover in Narbonne, very easily accessible to main roads, 5/7 minutes from Narbonne city center by car. The hotel is more than adequate for the price, recently renovated to the level of a 3 star. The room is clean, new bathroom. A good transit hotel. The hotel is located in the middle of a commercial area, but remains calm and quiet. Correct and varied breakfast."
Ibis Budget Carcassonne la Cité
"With 20 minutes walk you reach the Middle Ages City is not very close but it's okay more has a large parking discovered with electric gate where I stayed my bike"
Chateau des Ducs de Joyeuse, BW Signature Collection
"Wonderful hotel in a real chateau, with all the terrific ambiance that entails. Great welcome, with Romain speaking fluent English. Fabulous restaurant in the courtyard of the hotel, with attentive waiters (Xavier in particular). Scrumptious dishes (only exception was the ceviche, a bit lacking in flavor). We hope to return for the holidays, Christmas and New Year's."
B&B HOTEL Carcassonne Rocadest La Cité
"The hotel is very quiet , very friendly hosts , perfectly clean , nearby Rocadest resto shopping centre , shops , various things and near the hospital . I had a problem with the access code for my arrival linked to the platform trip.com resolved with a very nice hostess , otherwise nothing to say."
Hôtel de la Cité Carcassonne - MGallery Collection
"A fantastic Michelin-starred restaurant, the rooms are stylish, and the public spaces are decorated in a classic and sophisticated style, right in the middle of a castle."
Domaine d'Auriac - Relais & Châteaux
"We stayed in a bungalow next to the main chateau in a massive room w/ badly dated finishes. The cost was something like €700 for the night, breakfast not included. We don’t mind spending money on accommodation but this felt like a clip job. I believe they are renovating the main chateau but for now the rooms are dated and uncomfortable."
Hôtel le Parc - la Table de Franck Putelat
"We booked the Le Parc Hotel for one night on the 28th of August 2025. We arrived in early evening and we were greeted by a woman of dark hair who seemed irritated we interrupted her book reading. Not a good start. We had booked a room with a terrace and hot tub. We entered our suite and it was extremely cold. So cold we were unable to remove our jackets. We requested she turn on the heat and she declared it was summer and we would not be allowed heat even though the temperature registered at 62 Fahrenheit and 16 centigrade. We tried to turn on the towel warmer and it did not go on. We walked out in the terrace and the hot tub we paid for the use of to discover it empty. We went back to the front desk and she said too bad it’s broken. We found out later we were supposed to of been called and offered a rebate and that never happened. We spent a miserable night completely dressed under the covers and the bathrobes on top of us. We could hardly wait to get out of Le Parc in the mid morning, we left early. When we informed the pleasant young lady at the front desk she was horrified at our mistreatment by the front desk dark haired woman."
Chateau L Hospitalet Wine Resort and Spa
"We booked this stay many months in advance as a 2 night country retreat between city breaks. The welcome email about a week before arrival advised us that their Michelin starred restaurant was fully booked for the duration of our stay. It would have been useful to have known this might be an issue. They did, however, ask us to advise them of our arrival time which we said would be 3pm. We arrived as expected to be told the room would not be available until 4.00, normal check in time. The time we spent hanging around could have been usefully spent being introduced to the estate, but it was not. In the main most staff seemed to have far more interesting things to do than look after guests. When we finally got into the room it was very nice, as was dinner at the beach that evening. During our stay the chateau was very busy preparing for a big weekend. A huge semi permanent marquee was being constructed and the place was overrun with construction workers who used the pool washroom facilities and had lunch in the soft seating areas. The strong feeling was that the guests there at the time were a distant second priority to the upcoming wedding. The marquee construction was in front of the pool and there was zero acknowledgment that some people we’re trying to enjoy a quiet time. There were numerous examples of lack of attention to detail expected of a five star hotel and generally little evidence of management on the ground. At no time over 2 days did anyone come down to the pool area just to make sure everything was ok and at no time did anyone enquire as to whether we we’re having a good stay. Two positive notes to finish on. The barman in the jazz bar was delightful and we were presented with some lovely wine as an apology for the delay in getting into our room. A nice gesture which was thoughtful but not thought through (we are flying back to UK with little spare baggage allowance). Takeaways. The basis for an excellent resort is there but management needs to pay attention to the little things and engage with guests at the time when things go wrong. No doubt the response will be “why didn’t you tell us”. The answer is it’s your job to check. I never normally give bad reviews so I hope this is useful to the hotel and prospective guests."
Hôtel Mercure Carcassonne la Cité
"Very good hotel, the environment is very good, very quiet. Front desk service, dinner, breakfast is great, very close to the castle, just opposite, The hotel is very environmentally friendly, there is no plastic bottled water, you need to drink water to go to the 0th floor and fill the glass bottle yourself to get back to the room."
Dreamhome B&B Limoux
Les 2 Drôles d'Oiseaux
Logis Hôtel Restaurant le Clos Fleuri
Hôtel Montmorency & Spa
"We stayed at this hotel for one night, Bastille Day. The room was very nice, albeit the bathroom was small. The pool was great to cool down at and the bar service was excellent, with views of the castle walls. Many people watched the spectacular fireworks from here."
Hotel du Chateau et Spa Carita
"Right next to the Navarre gateway. The location cannot be beaten. Well laid out and organised for visitors to the Citadel. Breakfasts had lots of locally produced items."
Kyriad Carcassonne - AÉROPORT
"Great budget hotel, and they even have pool, though we didn’t use it. Conveniently located just off the roadway and near shops, supermarkets and petrol station, but quiet nevertheless. The staff were very friendly and kind. We had air conditioning issues with our room on the second night and they immediately changed our room. Breakfast was good. It’s the second time we stayed here. We will come again when in the area."
