"I have never stayed in such a dirty hotel in my life. I have never seen a hotel with such a foul food smell. The person who greeted us at the door, Kaan, is probably blond. Other than that, how can a place with such a beautiful sea be run so poorly? The rooms are beyond filthy. The toilets are never clean, unfortunately, I went on vacation and had the toilet cleaned. The rooms are carpeted, the carpets smell of dust, it's awful. The towels are filthy, now yellow. The sink has never seen any cleaning products. During dinner, the corridors and the entire hotel are filled with an overwhelming fishy smell. We had trouble during dinner on the beach because the reception didn't give us our wristbands. It was as if we were sneaking out and eating. The food is a disgrace. Eat a salad and leave."

"A very peaceful hotel in a quiet location, not far from the beach. I stayed on the 3rd floor with a street view, and from the balcony, you could see the sun rising over the sea in the morning. It's about a 10-minute walk from the hotel to the nearest shop, where you can also catch dolmuşes to the port and to the city of Ayvalık. The room has everything you need – a working air conditioner, a shower with hot water, toiletries, and a kettle. There were only 2 hangers in the wardrobe (I think that's normal in Turkey). The fridge wasn't working, but I could use the one on the veranda where meals are served. I stayed for two nights – there was no housekeeping and the towels weren't changed. Probably, you can request these services, but I didn't need them. Wi-Fi is only available in public areas, which cover a fairly large space. The staff are friendly and helpful. The windmill and the port are easily reachable on foot, but wear comfortable shoes. I recommend this place for a peaceful getaway and solo travel."

Every morning you can make a beautiful breakfast with various fresh grapes and changed tastes. The workers are world-sweet and very concerned. If you go, you will never regret. "The hotel is very centrally located, and the sea view is beautiful. The staff were very friendly, and the parking was also OK. I would advise against the breakfast; it was simply not good. Unfortunately, it's not possible to go to bed before 1:30 a.m. because the music from the hotel's bar is extremely loud and the sound from the TV is simply too thin. The air conditioning sounds like a washing machine. Unfortunately, this hotel does not offer any service; in the five days we stayed, the room was not cleaned, the bed was not changed, and no new towels were provided. At this price range, this kind of service is simply unacceptable."

Location of the hotel a short walking distance to the city centre. Breakfast which was included in our stay at Komşu restaurant below our room had amazing menu and delicious food. It was also convenient to have our dinner at Komşu restaurant with spectacular view of the sunset over the water while we thoroughly enjoyed the food. The only downside was bathroom (especially shower) needed renovations."

"My 3-day stay experience in July 2024; 1) I think the hotel is abusing the rating system. Statistically, there's a distribution of either 5 or 1 star, which is outside the normal distribution. This is not in line with the normal flow of life. Profiles of people who give 5 stars generally consist of 1 or 2 reviews. Profiles of people who give 1 star are more reliable. However, it's up to you, the readers, to judge. 2) There's a terrible vinegar smell in the hotel. When I first arrived, I thought it was garbage. I rode the hot elevator holding my breath for 3 days. It's been more than 100 years since detergent was invented. 3) The air conditioning is very bad. Its power drops during the day and is therefore insufficient. At night, it overcools. I think because it overcools, the cooling power of the rooms that are turned off flows into the rooms that are not. I set it from 18 degrees to 25 degrees, but it didn't even care; it just keeps blowing the same amount. It's sweltering until 22:00 in the evening. It's good between 22:00 and 03:00, but you freeze between 03:00 and 06:00. It's also extremely noisy. 4) The door lock doesn't work, and it can't be closed without forcing it because it slides off its axis. 5) They don't give a second card; the number of cards is too few :) 6) They don't provide beach towels, they wear out when washed (the statement is exactly that). 7) There's no rope needed to dry swimsuits on the balcony. 8) There are no mosquito nets on the window. 9) The window frames don't close properly, blowing in windy weather. 10) The food is good, high-quality home-cooked meals, but there are also German-style meat-based items. The salad section could be improved. There's no parsley and mint in the evening. 11) Drinks are charged at the hotel. OK, we saw this and accepted it and made a reservation, but we learned at the hotel that Coca-Cola, which costs 25 lira per liter, is being sold for 320 lira per liter. So, at an open buffet, let the customer fill up on Coke, but I personally indulged in the meat instead of Coke, which I can't drink. Now that I think about it, the Coke company is losing money, the hotel is losing money, and I am losing money (because I can't enjoy it). It's illogical; everyone loses money; there must be a drink with the meal. 12) The sea is sandy, shallow and clean, but I have swam in many places from Hatay to Igneada and I have never seen it this cold, maybe it can compete with Assos."

"We had high expectations for Ortunç, especially considering the price of around €700 per night for their most basic room. Unfortunately, we left very disappointed. The location itself is beautiful and peaceful, and the gardens are lovely. However, getting there is not easy. Be very careful with your navigation, as searching for “Ortunç Otel” can actually take you to the wrong hotel. The final road is extremely narrow and winding, which can be quite an experience when combined with the local driving style. The arrival was underwhelming. The reception is tiny, with nowhere comfortable to sit, and we certainly didn’t experience the kind of warm welcome you would expect from a hotel charging these rates. Valet parking is available, which is a plus. The biggest disappointment was the room. For €700 per night, it was surprisingly small, the bathroom was tiny, and the bed was extremely hard. The television was almost amusing. What looks like a huge TV on the wall is actually a large decorative façade with a much smaller television inside it. Even more surprising: it wasn’t a smart TV, so we couldn’t stream anything. At this price point, that feels very outdated. The food was average at best, and communication with the restaurant staff was sometimes difficult due to their very limited English. And that really sums up our experience: Ortunç is not necessarily a bad hotel, but the price-to-quality ratio simply doesn’t make sense. At €700 per night, I expect excellent service, a beautiful and comfortable room, high-quality food and attention to detail. We simply didn’t find that here. If you have this kind of budget available, there are many luxury hotels where your money will buy you a considerably higher level of comfort, service and overall experience. Beautiful surroundings, yes. Worth €700 a night? Absolutely not. Unfortunately, we would not return."

"Sukha Cunda Hotel was a really incredible experience for us. We had made reservations in Cunda when we were looking for the hotel, but we were very happy when we left. All staff were very intimate and loved in terms of cleaning, comfort, interest and the matter. It was also a nice gesture that they helped us with our early entry request. Although the hotel's pool is a little small, we enjoyed the calm; a great choice for those who want to get away from the crowd and listen to the head. The location is very advantageous: you can walk to the centre of the island in about 10 minutes. If you wish, it is possible to walk through the intergates but it is difficult to walk in a bag because the roads are straight and stone. The hotel is also just 5 minutes away from the Un Değirmeni. The transportation of public transport vehicles through the hotel was very comfortable. The breakfast was certainly above our expectations. There were tastes that were not shown but prepared in a special way, which could be used to savour the vein. It was a separate pleasure to make breakfast at the pool, which was enriched every day by a different sweet, fruit or hamster job. The hotel has an agreement to make free access to Surya Beach. The main road is accessible in about 10 minutes. The beach also has a very pleasant and peaceful atmosphere with the sea, the atmosphere and the calm. We stayed for 4 days and were very happy every moment. We are thinking of coming back as soon as possible"
