"If you’re looking for a peaceful and tranquil stay then Moi Ella is the place! We had such a lovely & relaxing stay here. The staff were extremely welcoming and attentive, we were greeted with some tea and delicious coconut pancake on arrival which was just what we needed after a long drive. The breakfast and dinner was also amazing. The hotel offers 360 views of the beautiful hills and mountains of Ella, and you can even head up to the top floor to catch sunrise - we did this one morning and it was absolutely breathtaking!! If you’re looking to stay in/near Ella then you might want to find somewhere closer to the town as this hotel is about a 30 minute drive out of town so you’ll need transport. We didn’t mind though as we loved how peaceful and secluded the hotel was :)"

"We really enjoyed Area 4 Eco Cube. It has a unique setting immersed in the jungle. The property had a very creative vibe. We really enjoyed our stay. Hiran, the manager, took great care of us. He and the staff were all very gracious and caring."

Awesome Place Hotel

"We had a wonderful stay at this amazing property near Ella. The views were absolutely breathtaking, with stunning mountain scenery that could be enjoyed from our room, the swimming pool and the restaurant. Being situated a short distance away from Ella town made it even more special, offering a peaceful and tranquil setting away from the crowds. A special mention goes to our host, Nisal, who was outstanding. He ensured we were well looked after to make our visit comfortable and memorable. If you’re looking for a beautiful retreat surrounded by nature, with spectacular views and excellent hospitality, this is the perfect place to stay. Highly recommended."

"The hotel is in the mountains and forests, the environment is very good, there is a large terrace, the boss is a very kind couple, the breakfast is also very rich, the black tea is very good, you can take various photos near the hotel, take pictures of the starry sky, the galaxy and fireflies on the terrace. Super cost-effective, very recommended"

Ella Dream Mount

"The hotel has problems!!! We were allegedly upgraded to a superior room. It was nice but I’m not sure what was superior about it. Water ran very slowly and the air conditioning kept tripping the electrics every 15 minutes. (Literally 3 times in 45 minutes when we got back from dinner and that doesn’t take into account the 4 or 5 times it tripped before we went out). When I complained the staff were very helpful and moved us to a room on the second story where we stayed for 2 nights. The door to this room was very badly warped but did lock. The water ran even slower than the first room but we managed a shower (just). The bath wasn’t attached to the wall and did not have an end panel. I’m not sure you could use the bath, we didn’t try! The windows were badly warped but the worst part was a floor to ceiling window that couldn’t be secured shut. If someone leant on it whilst brushing their teeth they would literally have plummeted 2 stories to the ground. I mentioned this to the hotel who said the room wasn’t finished!! Breakfast was good, service good, staff friendly, location quite far out of town. The hotel did say we may have problems with TukTuks and gave us the number of someone that worked well. Of the 6 hotels we have stayed in Sri Lanka this was by far the worst and we were pleased to leave."

"Spent 2 nights at this hotel during our holiday. Small comfortable rooms ours had a gorgeous view over the flowers and onto the mountains. Breakfast plentiful We had a very early departure and staff were up to help with bags and provide us with a packed breakfast for the journey! Restaurant is next door - connected to hotel but separate (you can’t add the meal to your room bill) Just note if staying at full moon no alcohol served. Very convenient location for walk to 9 arch bridge and little Adam’s peak and a 15-20 minute walk down to main part of town"

"We stayed for 1 night. Very friendly staffs. The hotel doesnt have elevator but the staff helped to bring our luggage up. We even borrowed their umbrella to walk around the town when it was raining. Asif is very attentive and friendly staff who managed our stay including breakfast preparation for us. The only minus point is the swimming pool water is a bit murky."

Villa Republic Bandarawela (04 Bedroom)

"Beautiful home with a stunning view. Close to town. The staff was wonderful, so kind and accommodating, plus the Sri Lankan food they cooked was delicious. All the rooms had king sized beds which makes room assignments easy when traveling with a big group. The upstairs rooms are a bit bigger. The hot tub was a fun bonus! The house was clean and comfortable. There is also a cute cafe, Cinnamon Bliss, just down the street if you want to take a short walk for your morning coffee. Overall we had a wonderful stay and experience. Definitely recommend!"
