This is a perfect place to stay in Bayeux! It’s a beautiful property, with very clean rooms, and comfortable beds. The staff made us feel like family. My mom enjoyed a glass of champagne each evening in the sitting room- it was a wonderful way to end a busy day of sightseeing!! Most of the attractions are within walking distance of this hotel. We also really enjoyed Gloria- the resident pup!

Want a well located charmer, this is the one. Luxurious, no, but everything you could want as a “base” property for a visit to St Mon Saint Michel & the D-Day beaches. Bayeux is a delight & this property is so well located. A historic property, renovated chateau- that means updated but not luxurious, ease into the charm & you won’t be disappointed. Smallish rooms, but clean, updated bathrooms. Breakfast room, lovely & breakfast offerings, well above average. Relax after a day of tours with a glass of wine (or 2), served with a smile. All of Bayeux at your doorstep. A staff that will make you smile, kind and accommodating.

This hotel is owner managed and has retained the charm of good old fashioned personal service. When we arrived, we were greeted by the friendly staff who brought us to our room. Our double room was cosy and comfortable with all the mod cons and good wifi. Breakfast at the hotel in the lovely dining room included both cooked and cold items, fruit, yogurt, cereal, sweets and good coffee and tea. Evenings at the hotel was an opportunity to mix with other guests for drinks at reasonable prices. The reception staff were always happy to help with information, bookings for taxis and restaurant reservations. All in, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this exceptional hotel.

My son and I spent a few nights here in April as a base to tour Normandy. Like others, we were drawn in by the lure of the resident dog, Gloria. Our room was large and well appointed with a twin and queen bed and a large bathroom. The television was not working and we were given a discount. To be honest, we would never have noticed it was not working but they mentioned it and provided the discount on check out. The provided breakfast was fine and was a reasonable price. The hotel is ideally located to tour the beaches and Mont St Michel by vehicle and the town on foot. There are many nearby restaurants and shops. We only had a drink one evening after dinner in the lounge and enjoyed meeting other guests. Lisa was very helpful in providing an ice bucket and glasses for our room as well as sharing local information. My one suggestion is that a history of the hotel be provided. It was only when an other guest was being shown around that we heard of the occupation and torn tapestry in the dining room.

Stayed here with tour group doing the WWII Normandy Tours. Very nice location in downtown Bayeux. Lisa at the front desk was outstanding! Room 7 was a nice superior double with a comfortable bed. They had a very nice breakfast, and although not widely advertised they do offer cocktails in the afternoon in lobby area or outside on the deck for a reasonable price. We gathered each day in the lounge for cocktails and to discuss our adventures that were covered each day. The owners dog always kept us company and was very friendly. Easy walking distance to many restaurants, with a pharmacy next door if needed.

This is the perfect hotel in Bayeux. It is a short 10 minute walk to the Cathedral and downtown area. It has old world elegance downstairs with tapestries on the wall and chandeliers. The garden in the back is beautiful and relaxing. There is a full breakfast that we also enjoyed. The staff is all friendly and very helpful, including Gloria the dog. The room has a modern bathroom. It is an excellent value for the price.

Great location, friendly staff, spacious family apartment. Our room was right by the front door so it was a little loud at nigh. But otherwise it was great! Highly recommend.

This hotel breaks every notion of a bad experience in France. They have worked around our schedule, let us relax in the lobby after our stay was over, made dinner and cab reservations, tried to get the car rental company to do their job. Ive is a real go getter, never slows down, go go go. When Eva was not letting Gloria in and out, she ensured every guest who checked in was informed of all the services available. Breakfast, evening bar. Every one made an English only speaker like me feel right at home. We got in late the first night and Lisa pointed us to a late dinner at a wonderful place. I think I had one of the best gin and tonic ever. This place is the perfect place to visit Normandy from. We miss the famous tapestry (maybe come back to see it) it is in London on loan.

The hotel is so charming and the staff is very welcoming. Great breakfast!
