"Nickisch Hotel and restaurant is a 3rd generation family owned hotel near the border of Netherlands, just off the 30 Autobahn in Schüttorf. Our check in and reception by Elmer was efficient and lovely. Elmer really went to the next level to look after us. The room was nice and clean with the afternoon sun on the balcony. I had the pork schnitzel for dinner at the restaurant, it was very nice. The restaurant had a brilliant menu of diverse spoils and wines. Thoroughly reccoment this place for a stopover."

"The hotel is very good, spacious, simple rooms, good solid mattresses, sitting with 2 seats. Rooms 11 on the 1st floor with a balcony with 2 seats and a table and beautiful view of Bad Bentheim. Centre is 10 minutes walk, casino 5 minutes. The breakfast is very good, wide choice from breads, beans, eggs, yoghurt, juice, coffee, really extensive. Your room number is your table number and is covered when you enter the breakfast room in the morning. Breakfast was from 8 to 10. Also nice to get a little coffee down, cost about 1 euro, take some coin for it. Fridge in breakfast room with fresh, beer and wine, which you pay for check-out. A large number of free parking places for the door."

"Very bad! We were with our group in the hotel with half-pension a few years ago and had it in a very good memory. Unfortunately, the restaurant is no longer recommended. The service forces were hopelessly overloaded. In the evening we waited for up to 2 hours for our dinner. Total chaos in the guest room. We had the impression that hotel guests were especially slowly served. Even at breakfast, the tables were covered only for external guests - we felt very poorly served and definitely not welcome!"
