Room was tired, smelly and carpet worn to the threads. I have stayed here in the past several times and really enjoyed it, but either managment has changed or they have just let things slip. A real shame."

"Privately owned, friendly owners. The room was roomy and clean. There is a sitting area out the back patio doors which was good. The outdoor furniture is a bit older. The bed and linens were good for a 2 night stay. We just needed a place to stay while we toured the area. Havelock where the postal boat tour is just a 35 minute drive away. There is a Countdown grocery store right across the street which was convenient. There are no restaurants within walking distance."

"Our chalet was comfortable, clean, a good size, although rather old fashioned decor and furniture. It had a happy, cosy feel, rather like staying at your grandparents home. The staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. There was a laundry room and washing line outside in the garden. The location was a short walk from the supermarket but it was too far to walk to the town centre so you ideally need a car."

The beds are comfortable and the room is spacious and is well equipped for all our needs. The staff are amazing - especially Shaun, who runs the motel. We are very happy to recommend it. It is very convenient for the town and has a supermarket close by."
