"Not finding an attractive hotel in Oslob, this place delivered with only a twenty minute drive to see the whale sharks. Mike the owner, friendly guy and happy to chat; Andrea and her team smiley and delivering on service. Went snorkeling multiple times a day, drying off on a hammock at the private beach and enjoyed swimming near a sea turtle. Best fluffy pancakes I've had on our summer adventure and they hit the spot alongside a freshly plucked coconut after our swim with the whale sharks. Also, locally brewed IPA on tap, nice! With a shot o the rocks of some run to wash it down. The guide used for the whale sharks tour, Alex, and sweet and reliable. Granada was an oasis of calm and much welcomed. Great pool as well! Best massage I’ve had in awhile and was overlooking the bay, just lovely"

"Rooms are very clean and feel brand new, with a minimalist design that adds to the relaxing atmosphere. The place feels exclusive and peaceful. No noise at all. The water is incredibly clear, and we even saw sea turtles right from the shore (we got to swim with them without going far!). The only challenge we had is the lack of nearby restaurants and stores. You’ll need to travel about 15 minutes to Oslob for more options. Overall, we’d definitely come back! Plus the staffs are friendly too 😉"

"A wonderful little mini-hotel. Very good snorkeling right from the beach (entrance through rocks, best done with coral reefs, although we managed without them). By the way, a small school of small sardines comes there. Not Moalboal, but still :) The owner, Dodo, and his wife, Madame Angelina, are wonderful, simply exceptional, hospitable people. During our stay, they created a truly endless holiday for us. Dodo drove us everywhere by car (since we don't know how to ride a bike, which they initially offered us) – not just on excursions, but to waterfalls, shops, markets, and everywhere. And the delicious and plentiful food we received was simply beyond words. This was our first trip to Southeast Asia, and we returned not weight-loss, but weight-gaining :) Which, of course, upset my wife when she weighed herself at home :) Anyway, a huge thank you to Dodo and Madame Angelina for a wonderful vacation!!!"

"We stayed for three days in Oslobe. It's very pretentious; the pool is now square and warm. They were building something, like a small bathhouse at the end of the property. The rooms are very odd; the windows face inwards, while the storage rooms face the sea. In the standard rooms, the beds are on the second level, so you can't sit up properly; a normal bed is only available in a deluxe room or higher. You're not allowed to bring your own drinks or food; they charge a corkage fee, though we did manage to bring beer and chips to the pool. Breakfast is à la carte. Whatever you do, don't order the fish – it's absolutely inedible, but everything else is okay. The bathroom is large, and the towels are clean."

"We are relaxing in The Philippines before beginning a service trip to help repair a typhoon damaged school near Toledo. Our five days spent at Leuchtterm Resort were very enjoyable. We sat facing the ocean on loungers by the beautiful pool, enjoyed the sound of the waves on the beach, the lights in the trees at night, interesting food and comfortable beds. The staff are absolutely delightful, and we enjoyed getting to know Otmar, the owner, and his family. We enjoyed games of pool before dinner several nights, which were an unexpected delight."

"We stayed for three nights, and on the second morning, as I sat down on a chair to get ready for the day, I was bitten multiple times on my hands and feet within just a few minutes. I immediately realised there were fleas in the room. However, since we had a packed schedule during the day and were exhausted by the time we returned to the hotel, we only reported the issue to the front desk at check-out. On the third day, my partner also woke up with bite marks, and I had even more bites on my body. The front desk staff kindly asked me to show them the areas where the bites likely occurred, but I told them the entire room would probably need a thorough cleaning. Additionally, the hot water in the shower wasn’t consistently warm enough, and the water pressure was often too low, possibly due to insufficient water in the tank. The staff did come in to carry out some repairs. The hotel staff were all very friendly and professional. I’m writing this review purely in the hope that they will take the necessary steps to improve the cleanliness, so that future guests can enjoy a safer and more comfortable stay."

"If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing place to stay you should come here. You can really rest here. Rent a scooter from very friendly Eddy in the small town nearby to travel around the island. Our host was really helpful and told us many interesting stories about living in Philippines. As we were there during Christmas, we were enjoying amazing hospitality of local people- the best fried chicken and karaoke singing ever! They don't have much but they are happy to share."
