"Right by the lake, you can see the lake and mountains when you go out in the morning. It's a very happy experience. Every morning, you feel close to nature. Although it is a youth hostel, it is very clean and the breakfast is also very good."

"We stayed at this hotel for three nights in a second-floor room with a lake view. The room was basic, with few electrical outlets, not all of which worked. There was no air conditioning. The size was adequate, as was the bathroom. However, the lack of a non-slip mat in the bathtub/shower was quite dangerous. The red checkered duvet covers were like something you'd find in a mountain cabin in winter. The restaurant's offerings were rather disappointing, consisting almost entirely of convenience food. The staff was courteous and polite, and the housekeeping service was unobtrusive. Nevertheless, we were satisfied with the value for money because the location was unbeatable: the train station and boat dock were right outside the door, and the valley station of the Brienzer Rothorn cable car was directly behind the building. It couldn't be better. The traffic in front of the hotel was minimal and wasn't bothersome at night, even with the balcony door open."

"Absolutely stunning hotel! This place was nestled in such a gorgeous location! The view from the front of the hotel overseas lake Brienz. And the waterfall on the other side is a wonderful sight to explore. The hotel is historic, and due to that, they have some limitations on amenities. The rooms do not have centralized air. It was certainly not a deal breaker for us, but we did get warm during the day. The TV’s in the room were also small, and didn’t have access to the internet. Again, not a huge deal! The staff was by far the most kind and helpful people we met during our trip to Switzerland! Absolutely incredible! If you are visiting to see some Crash Landing On You sights, this hotel is almost perfectly in the middle of some major location. The landing dock is only 20 minutes away, and the panoramic bridge is about an hour. Though the drive to both locations was beautiful and well worth the time spent! I would highly recommend this hotel, and certainly the restaurant! The food was spectacular and gave is that sense of royalty!"

"Very cute and cozy small hotel. Excellent location. Not far from Brienz steam train and Brienz cruise ship. The hotel decoration is very retro, but the room is quite modern. It should have been renovated in recent years. The shower is very big and the bath is very comfortable. The balcony of the room I booked can see the beautiful scenery as shown in the picture. It is very comfortable. Free parking is suitable for self-driving. There are indeed some challenges in the high temperature in summer. However, the temperature difference between day and night in Switzerland is large. It is basically not hot after the sun sets and it is quite comfortable."
