"I loved my stay here! The staff are incredible! Do they sleep?? The food is fresh and delicious. There was 97 steps to my tent from reception- but the exercise allowed me to indulge in dessert. The tent was beautiful and clean. Huge bathroom with jungle views. I loved spending time on my porch watching the monkeys. The hotel will organize a local at a moments notice to do a community walk to a nearby Batwa-Pygmy community for $20. Highly recommended it if you are physically fit. It was a bit cool at night - I loved the cozy hot water bottles they put in the beds at turn down. Highly recommend this gem. Bring money for tips - the staff work so hard."

"I went with my brother to just relax and get away from it all. The best trip I have ever made. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. Staff extremely welcoming. It can be chilly at night, but the staff were on que with a hot water bottle!!!. The food and ambience is next to none. Already looking forward to my next stay."

"The hotel is simply amazing! You will have the best view of the forest and in 5 minutes drive you arrive at the place where the Gorilla trekking starts. The accommodations are very spacious, clean and comfortable! The food is delicious and the cooker can make anything you like. Lastly, the hosts were fantastic. All of them were really kind and helpful, making us feel at home. They even made us a delicious welcoming cake and sing a traditional song welcoming us. I never before saw such attentive and caring hosts. I recommend this place 100%!"

"Very welcoming place but a bit run down in the rooms and overall building. Food not ideal but served with a smile. We were on our way to the Nkuringo park so a quick stop on he way out. More like a 60's block than a hostel but staff all happy and kind and doing their best"

"A lovely place to stay for gorilla tracking at Bwindi. The rooms were very comfortable, but the highlight was the staff, who were exceptional. It was my father's birthday, and to mark it they baked a cake. The kitchen staff all formed a conga line and sang and danced as they brought it in after dinner. We were very touched. That combined with the gorillas made it into an unforgettable day."

"Excellent place to stay. Peaceful location with beautiful gardens. The houses are like home from home. Spotlessly clean and well equipped with all needs catered for. Also can provide delicious home cooked food which I have really enjoyed. I would highly recommend these guest houses."

"This lodge is out of the way up an extremely steep and rocky road (track). Once you are there the view is stunning but we were unable to enjoy it from our deck because we were located next to a building site (a new set of rooms at the lodge) so there were electric power tools in use all afternoon. The rooms are reached via steep and uneven steps (which when we left were slippery from rain and in total darkness). We were overcharged ridiculously for drinks and when we queried the bill, we were fobbed off. The best part of our stay was our housekeeper who was genuinely helpful and went out of his way to take care of us. Unless you are fit and a non-drinker (who likes scary roads that add unnecessary time to each trip), stay elsewhere."
