"Charming atmosphere. The Masindi Hotel is an iconic landmark in Western Uganda. Simply stopping by this famous landmark to see the hundreds of Ugandan artifacts from surrounding regions is worthwhile. The hotel has a relaxed low key vibe with a well stocked library, table tennis, and social verandas where travelers from all over the world mingle. The food is very good. Perhaps the only downside is very basic rooms (which while adequate) don’t match the wondocommon spaces. Note - mattresses are excellent!"

"Good location in Masindi although some rooms were noisy. A number of people in our party had water issues and inadequate mosquito nets. We had a triple room with excellent hot water and perfect nets - these rooms also have a small terrace with a table. Worth paying a few $ more for the space and facilities. Food service was slow and food generally disappointing. All the staff were lovely."

"Management needs to buy a fresh set of mosquito nets. The one in my room was torn. Also, wooden bathroom door needs replacement. It is rotting and doesn't close. Not Impressed! Sockets are popping out of the wall too. Basically, the establishment needs to be taken care of and refurbished."
