Alma Chilota

Alma Chilota ★★★

📍 Pedro montt Pedro Montt 609, Castro

"A beautiful place with a limited selection of rooms, few with views, the others very nice, cozy, but "blindfolded." The staff are very attentive and incredibly helpful. The dining room is filled with light and has a perfect view of the gulf. The decor is outstanding!"

Hotel Parque Quilquico

Hotel Parque Quilquico ★★★★

📍 Quilquico Rural s/n, Región de Los Lagos km 6 Ruta, W-65, Castro

"Beautiful, charming, quiet, peaceful and charming staff.. We stayed for 3 days and lived the place. Food is good, if limited, and the same with the facilities... Comfy bed and beautiful spot. Charming and very helpful staff.."

Hotel Esmeralda ★★★

📍 Esmeralda 266, Castro

"The restaurant is the best. They have a good, beautiful and cheap menu for what is at lunch. Dinner is at the letter, well prepared dishes, very rich and excellent service. Everyone very friendly. "

📍 Ruta 5 2053, Castro

"Nice view, good service and staff disposition, lack of maintenance in the bedrooms, especially in air conditioners and bathtubs"

Palafito Azul Apart Hotel
8.3 (4 reviews)

Palafito Azul Apart Hotel ★★★

📍 Calle Ernesto Riquelme 1382, Castro

"Not what we expected, location is good, apartment accommodation has the minimum required for a short stay, lacks kitchen tools, it is impossible to contact reception or find someone afterhours, contact phone posted at the reception never answers. No flexibility for a late check out (1 hour) unless you pay extra. High cost for the value it provides."

Hotel Diego de Almagro Castro
8.4 (19 reviews)

Hotel Diego de Almagro Castro ★★★

📍 Castro, Castro

"Hotel is modern. Has one handicapped room. No air conditioning. Great water pressure on shower. Firm bed. Great big flat-screen TV. OK Breakfast. Free parking. Pool was a bit cloudy, thought it might need some more chemicals so we stayed out... Road noise at night is horrible. Need screens on windows to keep bugs out."

📍 Quilquico bajo s/n, Castro

"This is beautiful place to stay in Chiloe. 6 rooms overlooking the bay, that are architecturally stunning. My family of 4 stayed in the family room and it was perfect. We had dinner one night and breakfast both mornings- the food and presentation was amazing. The sun filled our room in the Morning, and it made my morning coffee delightful while I watched and listened to rhe birds and wildlife. Paulina and Dora were warm and friendly and made our stay wonderful. They had great recommendations for places to see in the area and restaurants to try. It is tucked away high on the ridge and so the road getting in and out is all part of the experience. If you are looking for something different and memorable, look no further! "

Sizigia
9.1 (12 reviews)

Sizigia ★★★

📍 Pedro Montt 817, Castro

"Sizigia is delightful. One of the oldest palafitos in Castro, that has been lovingly and beautifully restored. Everything natural using wood and reclaimed materials. Best breakfast on our trip! The staff are charming and super helpful. It’s a really special spot. Oh and the chocolate and raspberry cake is hmmmmm!!!"

Alma Chilota ★★★
"My family and I stayed in a room on the third floor. It had an excellent view, attentive service, and great care. Every detail is evident in every corner. The common area on the first floor is beautiful, with comfortable sofas and lovely decor, and is also very well heated. The breakfast buffet is very varied and plentiful; you can see the owner's concern. The bed is very comfortable; you sleep very well and it's very quiet. Our next trip to Castro will be a very nice stay, with an excellent price-quality ratio. Our next trip to Castro will be back at Alma Chilota. You can see their concern for the well-being and comfort of their guests. For us, it's a 5-star hostel. It has parking, and the city center and the handicraft market are within walking distance."

Hotel Parque Quilquico ★★★★
"We booked last minute having had to exit Parque Tepuhueico because it was not good. The hotel was almost empty but he staff were excellent and the food was fine. NIce hot tub which is free but you have a book a time. Good view form the restaurant but of course, as this is Chiloe, the sun doesn't shine."

"This is supposed to be the best hotel in Castro. It was fine. Comfortable rooms. Breakfast was also fine. Not too many services to offer and location is a walk from restaurants or stores, but again, we were told it was the best that Castro has to offer."

Palafito Azul Apart Hotel ★★★
"If you have a reservation at this hotel, cancel it! If you have already paid, demand a refund! If you are considering this hotel as an option for your stay in Castro, look for another place to stay! I am a frequent traveler for professional and personal reasons. I spend three-quarters of my year away from home. And I can say that in this hotel I had the worst experience of my life as a guest! And all because, after arriving at midnight the day before, I was 10 minutes past the checkout time. Literally, the woman in charge of cleaning the hotel - and one of her sons, who must be a minor and I don't know if he can legally be working in this place - pushed me out of the hotel. I hope this message is read by the owners and managers of the hotel: that woman is NOT in a position to attend to anyone; She does NOT have the capacity OR the willingness to attend to people and work in a space of hospitality. These people CANNOT be working in this place."

"I love this place, not only because the bay holds a profusion of bird life, but because the place is so peaceful. The people who work here are remarkably nice and friendly. The food is delicious--easily some of the best dinners I had in the 2 weeks I spent in Chile--and generously portioned. The rooms are wonderful--huge windows looking out onto a lawn and out over the bay. Sunrises are gorgeous. Sunsets even moreso. I've now stayed here twice for 5 nights each time and if work brings me back to Chiloe I will stay here again. February is the perfect time, but I would like to com in December when it would be even more peaceful."

"Lovely, small boutique hotel in lovely location in Castro. Great breakfasts and really helpful staff and a wonderful place just to sit on the deck watching the birds and scenes on the water. Might be quite noisy for some - lots of wood and noise can travel, bit we enjoyed our stay."

Hostal Palafito Waiwen ★★
"I spent four nights at this Hostal in April of this year-2025-and was very impressed....The location was perfect-a short walk to the main square Plaza de Armas....Sleep quality was excellent and my room was large and clean....The shared kitchen was very convenient and the view from the terrace overlooking the estuary was very beautiful...The staff member I dealt with was Claudio and he was helpful and friendly...Very close by were some excellent restaurants...This is a lovely place to stay and is definitely worth returning to...Top marks...10 out of 10."
