"Overall quite disappointing hotel not practicing Mercure practices: - minibar not restocked in privilege room even though the latter is advertised as free as in all Mercures on the refrigerator door - you have to ask for your bottle of water and restocking Nespresso coffee pods - weekend breakfasts are not offered although this is provided beyond DIAMOND status We learn of the payment, on arrival, of the entire stay under the pretext of a change of rules by the management. Finally and to finish, the quality of the main restaurant is quite average with a service that is too long, incompatible with a professional stay. In short: average."

"Hotel with comfortable and clean rooms. Functional air conditioning. Hearty breakfast, fresh seasonal produce and fruit, rather pleasant and smiling staff. Courteous reception staff. Average view. Kitsch lobby decoration in my opinion… Location in a housing estate. The big problem: the bar!!! Not a smile or a good evening when I arrived. No welcome, I had to wait a good 5 minutes without a word before I asked to be served. After returning the drinks ordered because they were undrinkable, there was a wait of more than half an hour, apparently on purpose, and served by a third employee who was not on duty according to him. Bad atmosphere . In short, a business hotel without more... too bad. Management should be more attentive to the behavior of certain employees..."

"I was staying at another place, but it did not have a full time reception desk, and so that made it tough, as FG is a place where you need as much assistance as you can get, especially if you are an English speaking tourist with close to no French speaking abilities. Even the main tourist office does not have English speaking staff. But walking around I came across this clean, stylish and centrally located hotel that was a god send as they have front desk staff who can speak English. Unfortunately the hotel seems to cater to a business crowd and so their tourist related assistance was limited, but they did help as best they could, including helping me to get share taxi back to the Suriname border :) As for the hotel, all the common amenities are excellent, including a nice pool to dip into, which is appreciated when the temp is 95 F. And the breakfast buffet has everything you could ask for and it opens up early, at 6 AM. Only negative is that the room was tiny, at least the one that I was in, and so the king size bed basically took up the whole room. But then as a tourist you are not there to hang out in your hotel room. "

"We had been very expecting to come because of the high assessment. Unfortunately, our room was on the first floor without lift in a dependence just a few meters from the reception. We received three keys to get through three doors to our room. The breakfast was already in the room for two days. The eggs had to be cooked themselves. But there were a few portions that had to be reordered. The room was modernly furnished and offered good comfort, but was not too big. The reception didn't even call us a taxi, we had to do that ourselves. Tours were not available at all."
