"Absolutely loved our stay here. All staff were happy and friendly and it feels as though everything is cared about from the cleaning, general look of the place and furnishings to the breakfast. The location is excellent, we parked the car opposite the hotel on the Friday evening when we arrived and didn’t use it again until we left on the Sunday morning. Perfect in every way."

"I recently stayed at the Ibis Cognac Hotel, and my overall experience was very satisfying. The hotel is ideally located near the city center, making it convenient to explore the main attractions of Cognac. Although the room was small, it was very clean and the bed was comfortable, providing a good night's sleep. The staff was friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome. The breakfast offered a wide variety, especially the fresh local bread and coffee, which made for a great start to the day. Overall, Ibis Cognac is a great value option for both business and leisure travelers."

"We booked Hotel Ligaro in an emergency after being badly let down by other accommodation. The proprietor went out of her way to help us. The hotel is very nicely decorated the beds are super comfortable, the rooms and bathrooms are spacious. The has a chic and tasteful feel. As a result we had a fantastic stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and return. Hotel Ligaro is an asset to Jarnac."

"After a long drive through some lovely countryside we eventually arrived at our destination We received a super friendly welcome from someone who was pleased to see us. The French host helped us with our luggage and showed us to our room on the first floor which was large with beautiful and typical French decor. Everything ! ... and I really do mean EVERYTHING was just so, spotlessly clean and super tidy ... with attention to every detail at every turn!! The room was beautiful, the bed comfy, bathroom clean and tidy, the shower with fantastic pressure - lovey shabby chic cream furniture and a huge gilded mirror The Breakfast table laid out with attention to detail. A jug with orange juice, a couple of small bowls with fruit, full baguette on a long wooden breadboard , 3 types of jam, a most gorgeous little domed butter dish, a basket with croissants and pain au chocolate ... what more could you possibly ask for !! Fabulous in every sense of the word. I cannot fault this wonderful little venue at all.. so if you are in the area, do make a point of staying - you will be pleased you did - Like we were!! Thank you again for making our stay with you such a nice one. Continued success! You so 100 % deserve it.. and let me say, that there are many many venues , large and small ... who should take a leaf out of your book to see, learn, and put into practise what you are doing with your " La Belle Vienne" You can be very proud ! "A typical, old-style French hotel but with quirky decor in the public places. It has a fabulous location right at the top of Angoulême, at the beating heart of the eating and drinking quarter. Very friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Although there is parking at the hotel, there are not many spaces and it is hard to find. There are other carparks very close by at similar prices. The only reason for not giving it 5 stars was that the bathroom was so dimly lit that I found it hard to shave. "
