"Our visit on Sunday was the 2nd for Sunday lunch in recent months as local to the area. This visit saw us at the back end of service. Sadly, we suffered the consequences. Young front of house team as always very willing, Food, largely disappointing. Few of us had beef. Knives useless which didn’t help, meat very chewy. Roast potato outer skins rock hard, Yorkshire pudding way too crispy. Chicken and veggie option chosen by others looked better. Maybe an earlier sitting would have been better, but still very disappointing. Other local establishments more consistent. Come on guys, up your game on the roasts. A la carte menu been good in the past."

"The room is pretty good, the bathroom is big, and the facilities are complete, but it is a bit noisy on the side of the road, and there is nothing nearby at night, so there is no big problem if you just stay overnight. The breakfast is rich, but the room we paid only has one breakfast, and the other is a bit expensive for 15 pounds. The service is okay, a bit away from the center of Oxford. A lot of people come here for dinner at night."

"An unexpected surprise, a real manor hotel, located in the countryside of Oxford, very close to Bicester and Oxford University, the room is very clean, the toiletries smell good, Jo Malone, the breakfast is also very good, the staff is very enthusiastic, there is a small bar on the right side of the lobby, the price is not expensive, there is a fireplace in the lobby, I drank sweet wine and roasted the fire last night, and fell asleep on the sofa. It is more beautiful in summer. The garden of the manor is huge. I look forward to staying again next summer."

"The pub its self is lovely but the accommodation needs a little tlc. We stayed in the main building. The mattress was too soft, I appreciate some people will be ok with that but in my opinion I think it just needs updating along with the pillows which were pretty non existent with no filling. The toilet seat needed fixing and the shower wasn’t great. It would just benefit from a bit of a makeover as it just looked a little tired. Cannot fault the staff they were all lovely along with a very welcoming pub. This was our second visit here but unfortunately we wont be returning."

"The floor height is very short. My husband is 1.89 meters tall. He could only lower his head when he bumped into each other. It felt very depressing and I didn't sleep well. We were given room No. 6, which cost more than 1,300 yuan including breakfast. There was no standing shower in the bathroom. We could only take a shower in the bathtub with a shower head, which was very unaccustomed. I wonder if other rooms are like this?"
