Safety first. It is near Michigan Avenue. It is very convenient to take the red line. It is convenient for sightseeing at the University of Chicago and Northwestern University. There are 7-11, pizza shop and the world's largest five-story Starbucks within one mile. It is safe to stay for three nights. The price is quite expensive on weekends.

Overall we had a great stay at the hotel. The location, although it appears on google maps to be a little outside of the city centre, is actually very convenient. There are several bus lines that will get you to the city centre (which for me, means the DuSable bridge) in less than 10 minutes. A couple of things to note. To access the free WiFi you need to have a Bonvoy account (free to create) Regarding the breakfast, Trip.com seems to display inverted information. It was available Monday to Friday in the 1600 Club (lower floor of the hotel) but IS NOT available on a weekend.

The location of the hotel is very good. The staff is nice. It is a pleasure to have free coffee in the morning. The rooms are comfortable and clean. There is a parking service but it could be a little more convenient but there is not much to do. But I stayed for two nights and I would expect at least the towels in the room to be renewed.

The hotel is located in the city center, convenient transportation, very close to the lake, walking to the big shopping plazas such as Macy's. There are also Qianxi Parks such as Chicago Dou to visit.

The location of the hotel is very good, the facilities are very good, after all, is a four-star hotel. The only thing is that it is too late to get the room card at 5 o'clock and waited for half a day in the lobby.

I was running the Chicago Marathon and this hotel was in a great location, just 15 minutes from the starting point. The hotel itself is a bit dated, but the rooms are decent-sized and have all the amenities you need, except for a coffee maker or water heater. The service was standard American style, acceptable if you don't have any special requirements.

I had booked a last minute trip to Chicago's Virgin Hotel to spend some time with my daughters. From the first minute we walked in the service was impeccable. This continued throughout our stay everytime we walked in or out of the hotel (many times). The location was perfect to shops, restaurants, Riverwalk, beautiful architecture, and many other visual attractions. The only downfall to our visit was it was Covid season and many restrictions to places we could go to watch the football game and/or eat as the restaurants were all closed in the hotel. That was a safety issue for the guests so it was appreciated they weren't open. The one thing I'd recommend is for them to have a list of what was open nearby and what was offered (dine-in, delivery, take out, etc.). We were able to find places on our own, but it would have saved us the time from searching/calling around. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel!!

The room was clean and the staff was friendly too. However, wifi was not able to be connected anyway and could not be used during my stay. Breakfast was delicious and I was grateful to have coffee at any time in the lobby.

I stayed at the hotel for two nights and three days in late December 2025. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. The heating system in my room was extremely loud, making it difficult to sleep. During my entire stay, there was no housekeeping service or towel replacement, which was very inconvenient. The building also feels quite old; even the elevator rattled whenever it moved. Breakfast was included, but the selection was limited and the overall quality was poor. On multiple mornings, there were no refills when items ran out, and even when I arrived around 8:00 a.m., most of the food was already gone. It honestly felt like a “breakfast war zone.” I hope your hotel takes these issues seriously and improves the guest experience moving forward.
