"Great lodge with lovely friendly and very helpful staff. Room was comfortable and spotless. Food was delicious and plentiful. Draft Sherpa beers were very welcome. The safaris we did (river and jeep) were unhurried and allowed us to see various animals (rhinos, elephants, deer, monkeys, gharials, crocodiles and various types of bird). Our very knowledgeable naturalist guide, Nabim contributed massively to our enjoyment of the safari experience. Sadly though even he could not conjure up the elusive tigers and the closest we got was a footprint in the mud!"

"I can't use enough superlatives to describe our experience at this hotel. Suraj and his family are the most friendly and accommodating hosts we have ever had, anywhere! The hotel is in a fabulous location, a short walk from the riverside and the busy centre, but far enough away to be totally peaceful. Our beautiful room, with private balcony had the perfect view of the sunset. This hotel will arrange everything you need for a successful safari, and use the best guide in the business. Their prices are wonderful too! The room is spacious, with a huge comfortable bed, and it was spotlessly clean. The food is excellent and nothing is too much bother for Suraj. Thank you for giving us a magical time!"

"Had a great stay at the River side jungle resort. Private villa was not amazing but having a private pool was. Sagor was our guide for the boat trip, safari and jungle walk. We saw many animals on the safari, not so much on the jungle walk but it was a nice hike and you can't book the animals! I can't recommend Sagor highly enough, he did an exceptional job."

"I can’t recommend this place enough!! An easy experience all the way from booking with them to when we got there. Highly recommend going through the company itself, instead of a travel website as they usually do a great deal. The resort itself is beautiful, so picturesque and immersed in nature. The swimming pool was an added bonus and well needed to relax. The villa was clean, spacious and well looked after. We loved the balcony that looked on to the river. The food was so unbelievably tasty. Ramgi and his team looked after us so well and nothing was too much trouble. So kind and patient. It was also my birthday when there and they made such as fuss it was so special! The safari was phenomenal, the jungle providing so much nature - we managed to see rhinos, elephants, deer and a sloth bear. Our guide Sorin (I’m pretty sure that was his name) was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He made it so much fun - as well as the driver. I don’t have a negative word to say about the resort and our experience. We totally fell in love with the place and the people! We hope to be back one day!"

Every member of the team was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, always going above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our stay. The excursions arranged by the hotel were first class and extremely well organised, making it easy for us to enjoy the best of Chitwan without any stress. Our room was spotless, fresh, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a perfect stay. We also really appreciated the little touches that made the experience feel extra special — the turn-down service, chocolates, and personalised notes from the staff were such thoughtful details and showed the level of care the hotel puts into its guests’ experience. If you’re planning a visit to Chitwan, I honestly can’t recommend Royal Tulip Chitwan highly enough. It is the perfect hotel to stay in and we would happily return again."

"I won’t be the first to complain about the host. We wanted to pay by credit card and we mentioned it in the beginning and our host was fine with it. Tonight we were forced to leave the place as i wanted to pay with credit card and the owner got offended and wanted us to pay extra for paying with a credit card, we refused to pay extra charge for it as it wasn’t mentioned that he would charge us for his taxes also… he ended up shouting and swearing, even maid claims that we are lying and he was offended that we didn’t spend “enough money” with him but we decided to book tours independently. He also threatened to call the police yet we paid everything we agreed on - decided to book a different hotel where we met some locals who said everybody hates the owner in the neighbourhood,. Best you stay away from this place and keep yourself from a headache!!"

A delightful surprise awaited us at our first breakfast on the terrace: a rhino! 😜 Ask for room 115. I highly recommend this peaceful hotel."

The villa was beautifully decorated for the birthday surprise, and the celebration arranged by the team is a memory we’ll cherish forever. Special appreciation to Mr. Dipanker at the front desk for his warm hospitality, seamless check-in and checkout, and excellent room orientation—it made everything smooth and stress-free. Hotel Aikawa
"We had the best stay at Aikawa, I can only recommend this hotel. It is new and modern and has to be the best hotel in Sauraha. From the first moment we arrived we were so well taken care of. We got an upgrade to a beautiful suite which has a fantastic layout and is just really well thought through. It has a huge bath tub as well as a rain shower and modern, high quality furniture. The pool on level 1 is so inviting and they will bring towels and even drinking water to the lounge chair. The garden has just been completed and offers a bar with a lounge area, table tennis, basketball or volleyball (can't remember which). There is also a spa which we didn't use though as we were too busy. The restaurant was really good and true to the hotels name I had sushi which was really fantastic. Tours can be booked as well. On a side note, our jeep tour of Chitwan national park was quite disappointing because we didn't see many animals and the tour guide (who was not the hotel's tour guide) was only speaking in Hindu to the Indian tourist but of course that wasn't the hotel's fault. The staff is probably the best thing about the hotel, they were so friendly and welcoming. Especially concierge Milan went out of his way to make sure we had a fantastic stay, he even went to the elephant breeding centre with us, which we truly enjoyed - much better than the jeep safari. Overall we cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, it was a memorable stay for us."

"My mum and I visited Sapana for a wonderful 4 nights. Sapana exceeded our expectations, with surreal views, peaceful atmosphere and the most welcoming of staff. Our room was very clean and in keeping with the ethos of the lodge, it all felt very grounding and natural. As for facilities and services; we couldn’t have asked for more. We enjoyed daily excursions, some being full day trips visiting native animals in their natural homes, whilst other days we did shorter trips visiting with the indigenous Tharu people, where we helped in their fields and shared special moments. Our whole trip was made easy and exciting by the help from naturist Dinesh Giri. Dinesh became a true friend where nothing was too much to ask. He went above and beyond to make our stay just as we like. He would often say “it’s needs to be perfect for our respected guests”. His knowledge and guidance is something that is truly special and he is a huge asset to the Sapana team as well as all of the staff that we were always laughing and conversing with. Learning about the intention behind the creation of the lodge made our stay that more important. Unlike other stays, there is true contribution back to the people who matter most in the community. Feeling like you can help as well as just benefit can make your soul feel a lot more comfortable with travel. Thank you to the whole Team, for an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend."
