I have been staying with Marriott properties from over 20 years now, it's extremely sad and painful to see how they have fallen to a new low across the board. Being a Platinum member and loyalty of over two decades seems to count for nothing. Just to clarify, I am mainly talking about the mid level properties like Aloft, Courtyard, etc. I am not sure if Marriott is franchising these properties, the managers have made these into nothing more than roadside motels. I stayed here for 2 nights. No greeting by the Front desk clerk, no professionalism or sign of a well trained hospitality expert. Forget about a room upgrade that I normally get in most places as a Platinum member, he puts me in the remotest corner of the building overlooking a parking lot. When I protested, he had no problem in cancelling my booking, as he maintained they were sold out. Having stayed in hotels for a long time, when I changed my strategy, low & behold a room overlooking the pool was provided, for which I am thankful. Since I have been in & out of hotels over last 2 months due to contract I am doing in the Silicon Valley, these same hotels have had no problem in yanking up the prices from $80-90 to $140-150, but no sign of any amenities, house keeping or basic cleanliness being provided. Hope the management can step up to the plate and not let this slide into an abyss. I love my Marriotts' and it saddens me to see to the level these mid level properties are falling.
Our stay at the Aloft Cupertino was lovely! There is complimentary garage parking, which was important to us when choosing a hotel. The swimming pool is open great hours and is beautifully lit in the evening. The gym has all of the basics. Lemon water is readily available in multiple locations. The location is ideal with many coffee shops in the area including Philz and Starbucks. The Apple Park Visitor Center is a quick drive for Apple fans. The Winchester Mystery House is nearby for an interesting tourist experience. There are complimentary yoga classes and live music nights on certain days of the week.
This hotel has fallen in love! Every time you come to San Jose, you must stay here! Very convenient for people who don't drive! Downstairs is the square, there are food and drink around, many selectivity, the key is that the hotel is still very quiet and clean! Great!

The hotel is in a good location, close to Highway 280, and next to a square. There are restaurants and supermarkets, and it's very convenient to walk there. The room facilities are okay and the hygiene is good. However, it is inconvenient to renovate the elevator now and there are many fewer types of breakfast.
This is the best hotel to stay in the whole of South Bay Area including Cupertino, Sunnyvale, Mountain View, Palo Alto and San Jose. I have been so impressed with the service of all the employees and specifically Madison as she not only helped me at the front desk but I saw that she was prompt to answer my questions and provide appropriate response through the Hilton Honors App too. The Hilton brand experience is also amazing at this place and all the amenities are to the point like Parking, Restaurant, Fitness Centre etc.
Quiet and clean environment
The interior of the hotel is quite beautiful and it is very close to the Apple Park. As for going to the Apple Park to call the police is another story...
The restaurant is very small and crowded, so be careful when eating breakfast. We booked breakfast, but the housekeeper didn't seem to notice it when we checked in. When we went to eat the next morning, a lady gave us the bill and took it after we finished. When I asked the housekeeper for the bill, the housekeeper signed my name and asked me to sign my name and room number. This should mean that the hotel paid the bill? After a week without seeing a charge on the credit card, it should be fine, right?
The breakfast is rich, including meat, eggs, bacon, fruits, juice and yogurt bread. I stayed in so many hotels this time, and only this one provides stainless steel cutlery, although there are also disposable plastic tableware.
For breakfast, you can order different meals for takeout at an additional price, which is pretty good. There are many choices.
24 hours coffee/cold and hot water
It feels like everyone staying here seems to be rich? Maybe because it is close to the Apple Park and there are service staff to help serve coffee. We are very satisfied with the price we set including breakfast.
We didn't have time to use the swimming pool and hot pool. I wonder if they were closed? Because they were very dirty.
This is a hard one to rate. PROS * Attentive hotel staff – The WiFi was poor the first day, but after reporting the issue to the staff it was resolved very quickly. Check-in was simply and the staff was competent and capable * Spacious rooms – each room was probably at least 2.5x the size of your average chain hotel of the same budget and class * Convenient location – right in the heart of Silicon Valley and close to highways * Breakfast – a typical hotel breakfast buffet is *included* in the price * Quiet – chose this hotel to be away from downtown SJC noise, and the hotel delivered * Clean - with caveats (see below) * Budget friendly – you get more than you pay for, compared to a chain CONS * The entire place smells like a hospital ward. The cleaner used smelled unpleasantly of disinfectant. * There was a large stain on the bed sheets. I only noticed this the final night as the stain was under a pillow. While the sheets were obviously cleaned and pressed the presence of a large stain is unacceptable * Ants in the room. This is not unusual for a ground floor room in Silicon Valley, and while there were just a few I also know from experience it can be controlled
This is a great place to stay if you are fussy on cleanliness! The staff, are friendly, helpful, kind and caring. Shey and Jesi are 2 staff members l got to know, all, are more than accommodating!! A very enjoyable experience, clean, safe and quiet. I have already booked this hotel for friends that will be coming to visit. The pool and jacuzzi are a great place for some down time! Thanks to all the staff for creating/maintaining this wonderful place!!
I've stayed at this hotel three times, and overall it's very comfortable.
1. The room is large and the bed is very comfortable.
2. The kitchen is fully equipped with all kinds of knives, utensils, tableware, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher
3. Parking is in the basement and is very safe with an access fence.
4. The waiters are very friendly
5. Housekeeping is done once every two days
6. Breakfast is ordinary, usually scrambled eggs, meat *****s, bread, and fruit.
7. There is a Korean supermarket next door to the hotel and a Safeway supermarket diagonally opposite. It is within a five-minute walk and is very convenient.
8. There is a donut shop and a Chinese restaurant next door
