"Firstly the good bits. The staff were very good and friendly, ensuring a very friendly welcome. Alexandra in particular was fabulous. However it was not great after that. We have stayed in three different wineries over the last few years and this was definitely nowhere near as good. Firstly, the whole place looks tired and quite scruffy.I know the design is meant to be different, but we stayed in a similar very modern but simple winery in Argentina. It was on another level. Facilities were very lacking, The two outside loungers (only two) were so uncomfortable as to make them useless. No outside swimming pool either which I would have thought more than desirable.There was a very bad damp smell in our room with mould in the bathroom. We were told this was probably because it had rained that afternoon. Come on !. We are from Ireland and know what post rain dampness smells like, this was definitely mouldy and damp. Dinner was a bit of a joke. We opted for the sharing T Bone steak, but did not realise that we also had to share one bowl of soup and one dessert, very kindly they gave us two spoons!. The food was good but the experience was not anything I have ever encountered elsewhere. On the plus side the wine was good and the location was also good for touring. However based on our experience we could not recommend to others."

"I had a pleasant stay at Pensión Calfred II. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a short stay. The location is excellent—within walking distance of the city center, restaurants, shops, and the train station, making it very convenient for exploring the area. Check-in was smooth, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The facilities are basic but well maintained, and the value for money is good. Overall, it’s a great choice for travelers looking for a clean, affordable, and conveniently located place to stay. I would happily stay here again."

"The hotel is very clinical and feels like you are stopping in a nice hospital. The rooms are not well sound proofed and very minimal decor. The breakfast is nice enough but is in a school canteen/ hospital type room. The place is very basic and has no warmth or niceness about it. I think if it was a 1 or maybe 2 star then fair enough but 3 is very generous! There just be lots of better options in this lovely city."

"This is an awesome Albergue! Clean! Comfortable! Loved that they offered a towel! Great kitchen, I was able to keep my water cold and am so thankful for that! Laundry service was so helpful! Close to great restaurants! Lots to see! Highly recommend!"

"The hotel is very central, near all the bars and restaurants, Calle Laurel too but it was quiet at night. It has its own underground car park as well. The staff are really kind and helpful. There's a Cafe right next to the hotel with excellent coffee and pastries. The food in the bars and restaurants in the city center is very good."
