"A beautiful little hotel, I think there are only 6 rooms though. All staff were on hand for any queries and help in any way they can. During my stay it was lovely and sunny and they have an outdoor area idea for a while in the sun 😂. If you have any sort of disability and find it difficult to climb stairs this place is probably not for you, no lift in the hotel and all rooms are upstairs, the car park is at the back of the hotel with steps up to the hotel that has a hand rail but the few steps into the hotel doesn’t. I was in room 6, 3 lots of stairs to negotiate but the view was spectacular."

"Absolutely outstanding stay at the Bank Ground . We were here over the new year period . The location is stunning just overlooking the Coniston Lake and The Old Man of Coniston right up front ! Most of us didn’t bother getting out since the location was so brilliant 😊 The property itself was beautifully maintained . Rustic yet modern ! Jonathon and his team were very efficient and responsive. One of the families that stayed with us has already decided to make this their summer holiday destination too . Highly recommend and thanks to the Bank Ground Team ."

"We were greeted by Tracey at our check in time and had a lovely warm welcome. The room was perfect, a very comfortable bed and a selection of amenities. Breakfast was delicious, a good choice on offer and was tailored to individuals wishes. Michael and Tracey ensured we were well looked after and were very approachable. They go above and beyond to help guests get the most out of their stay and even printed off the most current weather report ahead of our trip up the Old Man of Coniston. We would 100% stay again. Thank you ."

"Before I even start with my review, I will remark how great of a host is Jonathon. He truly care about the guests and was always very warm with us during our stay. For one of the days, we rent kayaks for a couple of hours, however our trip to the Bank Ground Farm was affected by traffic so we were not able to make it on time for the kayaks. Jonathon was great on let us rebook the rentals for the next day and we were able to enjoy the beautiful Coniston Lake. We have been looking for a no stress/full relax/true vacations and this was the place; the place is remote enough to provide this feeling. The Bank Ground Farm is also the place where the historic Swallows and Amazons area (where the movie was inspired). I will definitely come back to the Bank Ground Farm and discover more places around Lake District. If you really want to experience the Lake District area combined with a relaxing time, this is the place."

The Breakfast Room gives fantastic views of the fells, acrobatic squirrels and the local bird life, with Michael and Tracy being great hosts. Bluebird Lodge is only 5 minutes from the village centre, which is the cherry-on-top item of this lovely lodge."
