We returned (reluctantly) back home from our 2nd amazing stay at the Erskine. Welcomed in, had originally booked the Capel but because of weather asked if could change to the Erskine (same company) this was allowed. Room 15 was lovely and a fantastic bathroom. Evening meal was something else, hubby had beef brisket…so tender you could eat if didn’t have a tooth to your name and I had the chicken breast both sublime. Then hubby repeated last visit and had the humongous cheeseboard whilst I had the chocolate and hazelnut tart which was accompanied by THE most gorgeous sour cherry sorbet. Hannah the young lady who looked after us was a credit to them. Breakfast was amazing as last time also. Our one teeny suggestion is that even if adds a tenner or so per visit, a new firmer mattress as this was only slight let down. We will be booking again though as soon and as often as can

We have just come back home after a stay with Jill and Andy for a week, the worst bit about that is having to come home, excellent hosts, very friendly, the breakfast is excellent, Andy is an ex chef, the sausages are without doubt the very best I have tasted on a cooked brekkie, all of it cooked to perfection, a great start to the day. Our bed was very comfy, so much so it has made us think about replacing our own mattress, the guest house is very clean, if you have high standards then this is the place to be. It's only about 10 mins walk from the center of Conwy, which in itself is a great central base for many activities. There is quite a steep path way with steps up to the guest house from the front so you will be fit by the end of your holiday, you can get to the guest house from the car park at the back but be mindful if your car has a low profile, the driveway is quite steep, there is however parking out the front for about three small cars or two large. We will be visiting Conwy again as there are plenty of activities, check out Aber Falls. Beaumaris castle, Rhosneigr, last two at Anglesey but only about an hour or less in the car. If you like pizza, Check out Johnny Doughs woodfired pizza, you will be best booking the day before they get busy. We look forward to staying with Jill and Andy again when we visit... Very nice hotel, spent one night here as very handy for Holyhead, very easy to get to off the main road. Had dinner in their restaurant, they serve till 8.45pm. Service was excellent, menu varied, food was good. Rooms are tastefully decorated, spacious, very comfy, nice views of estuary. Lots of free parking on arrival. We used the pool and spa the next morning, brilliant. There was a steam room, sauna, hydrotherapy pool and main pool. Pretty good breakfast next day too! Would go back.

This inn had some of the finest service I have ever experienced in a hotel stay; the staff were exceptionally accommodating and the food and drinks were excellent. My wife, child, parents and myself were all extremely well looked after.

There are basic things in the room. The location is very good. I go to the beach at the door to swim every day. The staff are very nice and very enthusiastic Staffs are super nice and helpful

A lovely clean warm room comfortable beds great helpful staff Corridors etc were lovely and clean. Bedroom smelt fresh. Bathroom was a mobility one a great booking for any one with a wheelchair. We have stayed several times and will again

My friend & I booked 2 single rooms with a sea view. We booked 6 weeks in advance and checked with reception by phone that we'd have a sea view room each, could park, and a full English vegetarian breakfast including plant based sausages would be available - all prior to booking. We were assured of all of these so booked 3 nights to include on site parking, chargeable at £6 a night, although we could have parked roadside outside the front door for the same price. The reality was that we had to park in another car park down the road, our rooms had no view, fit to be store cupboards - not bedrooms, my room smelt unpleasant and both rooms were dingy and cramped. We complained and were then allocated more spacious single rooms with a sea view, which is what we'd booked. Still my bathroom was cramped, you could rest your head on the sink when using the loo, the shower unit was old, broken rail, dated furniture, curtains carpet, etc etc. There were no vegetarian sausages at breakfast 2 mornings running, apparently the 'order hadn't come in'. No mushrooms either, just baked beans, hash browns, egg & tomatoes. Meat sausages and bacon were plentiful! Despite raising this at the desk there was no interest or solution offered from the staff. We asked what they'd expect of the rest of the customers if the meat order hadn't come in. They agreed there would be a riot. They got some veggie sausages for the 3rd morning after I pointed out that Asdas sell them 5 minutes up the road. By this time we'd lost confidence in them being prepared & handled seperately from the meat. The chef (if indeed he is a real chef) was so abrupt and unapologetic that we felt unsure about eating them. He brought us 2 each on the last morning, which we wrapped in napkins and fed to the gulls after checking out. Altogether the hotel service was indifferent, careless, rude, disorganised, they fobbed us and other guests off with lame excuses & contradictory information. We overheard another guest experiencing the same as us regards vegetarian breakfast, and complaints about the food & service in general from yet more guests. It was not good value, I'd describe it as a hostel, not a hotel. The location was pretty much its only saving grace as it was seafront and near town. The bar area was pleasant but service was very slow. We met a lady who had stayed at the Premier Inn in a double room, spacious, with a roomy ensuite, clean, modern & up to date, with a full cooked breakfast for £66.00 a night. Our experience was the opposite, forlorn furnishings & a meagre, limited choice of vegetarian options for breakfast. We paid £76.00 a night. No brainer, stay at the Premier Inn

Superb hotel in a great position opposite the pier. The hotel and room was extremely modern and clean, Our room number 105 has stunning sea views and the decor and finish was stunning. The breakfast was really good with a choice of cereal, pastries, fruit and main breakfasts. The breakfast team member namely Benjamin was exceptional. Lovely smile and interacted with all of our party and the quality of his service was excellent and a credit to the hotel. Parking available nearby. I would very much recommend this hotel and will definitely stay again.
