"The hotel is in a friendly location, convenient for walking anywhere, the environment is very good and clean, the reception is also gentle and polite, the room is very exquisite, the facilities are complete, I stayed for a total of three nights, the room on the first night did not have heating, the room after two days had heating, but it was not always on, I think the hotel adjusted it by itself, fortunately the weather was not too cold, overall I was satisfied"
"We travelled to Coventry for The Wooden Spoon rugby event. The Telegraph was perfect for us, we flew into birmingham and got the bus straight to the hotel £2 each….the location was terrific, shops and restaurants only minutes away. We had room service our first night, food was delicious, really enjoyed the buffet breakfast it had a really great selection. Our room was spotless, the beds very comfortable…air con was very welcomed as it was a really warm weekend….can’t say enough good things about the staff, everyone very helpful and polite…….I would recommend The Telegraph to anyone travelling to Coventry, we will be back."

"Although the room is a bit old, the hotel environment is super beautiful, like a paradise, very like, very close to Birmingham and Coventry, very pleasant experience, suitable for self-driving friends"
"Perfect room for the night - but was disappointed that it took 45 minutes to get into my room after a long days work in London.
The main door and room codes weren’t provided after my booking, and staff were confused/ repeated questions - wasn’t too impressed with that unfortunately!
Would recommend but felt short changed and the organisation of the place for bookings needs reviewing."

"Other than the location (on the University of Warwick campus itself) the hotel is at best like a Premier Inn or other such budget hotel. It feels and looks like a dorm. One note to anyone walking from campus to hotel: there is no direct access from Arts Centre plaza. You have to walk all the way around business school to access car park. This was very inconvenient in the rain as it added a 5 mins walk.
The room was spacious and clean, though the bathroom sink was clogged when I checked in. Resolved the next day (though the first answer I received when asking for repair was that I may have to move). On second night the hearing went out; housekeeping brought a small radiator heater… no repairman came, however. Resolved the next day.
The food was cafeteria quality (both breakfast and dining room). I recommend eating elsewhere. Bar was ok, but not great.
Overall, I would recommend a different hotel for the price, and taking a cab to campus. Sorry"

Great
GGayatri GallowayA hotel that’s perfect for public transportation and by car: it’s this. On the square opposite Coventry Rail Station along the main road with drop off access.
Part of the IHG brand, the hotel is stuffed with modern, quirky colourful decor including a silver open top Austin Healy in the reception area. The ground floor is one big open space that navigates from lobby to bar to restaurant/breakfast area and an exit where the outdoors semi enclosed seating area is. It’s Britain, so no heaters or covers but it’s an acceptable smoking area!
Upon checking in we received a 20% voucher off all the F&B which doesn’t happen often. The kitchen was closed by 9 but we and our friends enjoyed a drink in the bar area.
The room was super lovely, all brand new, super clean and nicely decorated. Personalised smart TV but the smart function didn’t work alas! Overall: a wonderful experience!
Nnasher123We enjoy coming to this location. It is out of the way, which gives us some good 'personal' time, we always have a warm welcome and there are plenty of facilities nearby.
Two points that you may wish to address are the prices in the service station food area.
(1) Can hotel guests not have a discount voucher as we aren't the 'transient' customer the services are priced to provide for.
(2) To get to/from Nuneaton/Coventry means there is a long circuitous route around the M6 in one direction (or the other); depending which side we park on. Is it not possible to allow hotel guests permission to use you ”secret” access road directly to the adjacent bridge over the M6, rather than needing a 15 mile round trip to get anywhere?
GGuest UserI’ve stayed here before not a problem, but this time was terrible I stayed in the car park 1 hours thought they’d made a mistake on the booking the hotel looked like a demolition site no sign of entrance or reception very disappointing, gave me a disability room which I refused to stay in at a different hotel , I think the manager was Richard who helped us get a different room he was very friendly but the room was in lower ground smelling of sewage in hallway’s and damp in the room ,we both suffer with asthma and anxiety , all the lady staff was very polite and welcoming but I don’t want to stay here again
KKamFirst night bad experience, water leaking from the top ceiling on to my bed. The pillow, bed cabinet, duvet cover, carpet was wet!! 3 am in the morning.
The service and cleanliness was excellent, the hotel staff were very friendly. Very professional.
GGuest UserIt’s a huge hotel used for conferences and weddings. The corridor carpets and decor looked tired, however I was pleasantly surprised by the recently refurbished room. Nice fresh decor, and new carpet, fridge, Bosch coffee maker, large screen TV, iron, ironing board and trouser press. There’s a pool and leisure centre there also, although I didn’t have time to check that out. Plenty of parking as well. Don’t expect to get a lay in though, there was quite a bit of noise from people in the corridor from about 6:30 with guests from coach parties and workmen up an off early and cleaning staff talking at normal volume outside the door. Check out is also before 10am. Worth the £45.56 it cost me though.
GGuest UserA really good hotel which only fails to score higher for the following reasons.
The optional breakfast on the first morning of my stay was so good, and value for money, I booked for the following two mornings of my stay. Day two, again excellent quality of food and service.
Day three was a complete disappointment.
The cooked food was greasy and well passed it's best from the heated buffet.
Service from the staff was slow, tea was only luke warm.
If this had of been day one, I certainly wouldn't have booked again.
The room was equipped with everything I needed, tea and coffee, iron and board, additional fan and heating.
I felt the 40 inch TV was too large for the size of the room and it was placed on the dressing table which took up about 50% of the area.
The TV gad been ”adapted” to the usual ”Hotel Mode” settings and had very limited ”free” channels to view if compared to the standard terrestrial channels in the UK.
An online system was used to provide the available media and showed poor latency on several occasions.
A major negative being the system had no menu option to select the available stations.
Also, the room was not serviced during my three night stay. Not a big issue, but fresh toweling would have scored better.
This hotel could easily score better.
AAnonymous UserBecause Coventry is small as a whole, transportation and attractions are relatively convenient, but the overall environment of the hotel is average, there are no slippers and toiletries in the room, the network quality is not good, the wifi is slow, and there is no signal when it is replaced by traffic, so the video cannot be swiped. . If it is used as a temporary option for one night, the price/performance ratio is not very high. Because it was selected by the reviews of the three premiers, I don't know if the others are the same.
NNight LEfficient for the check-in , £5 was paid for the parking. It was easy for the drivers to find the actual location on the map, therefore I would say it is convenient to reach. What I like about the room is that the design of the room is reasonable and fully functional. The mattress was a bit hard but it is fine for me. Besides, it is seldom to see that the stool is separated from the shower, which is quite considerable. We enjoyed the stay.
GGuest UserThe hotel is perfect for a couples weekend away, the receptionist can’t remember her name was amazing and upgraded our room free of charge too
GGuest UserWe are here for my big day, the graduation ceremony in Coventry University for attaining my Masters in my home country, an associate with CU.
The room is within proximity to my University, thanks for that and it makes the graduation process even easier as the gown and mortar hat was inside the Britannia Hotel. 🙏🏼
The one or things to comment about is the lack of air-conditioning machine provided to the guest rooms especially during this time, the summer. Others not much comment as the price of the room is priced economically for the common goods.
Thank you Britannia
