"Pleasant hotel with lovely view, very clean and the staff on Reception are very helpful and welcoming. Our room was extremely clean and the bed was comfortable, however, no water glasses, tea or coffee making facilities. mini bar or bottled water provided which is very surprising in a 4 star hotel. They did give us a complimentary bottle of red wine but who wants to drink out of plastic cups! Breakfast was fairly limited and finishes at 9.30am which is not ideal if you're using up your last days of annual leave and want to sleep in a bit! We didn't eat dinner as we are small eaters and don't want the 4 course set menu plus our son is a fussy eater so we didn't think he'd make the most out of the 20 euro kids' set menu. The hotel is set in a good location, only 5 minutes from the sea front with lots of good restaurants, and 10 minutes from the port so no complaints there. We were so impressed at the excellent food and service at all the restaurants we tried, Snoopy in particular was great! The hotel has a lovely bar with delicious drinks (the aperol spritz is the best I've had! but the facilities for kids are pretty limited. The pool is quite basic, closes at 7pm and aside from that there a table tennis table at that's it. Fine if you want a quiet stay with adults only but needs to have more for younger guests."

"If you go to Sardinia, and want to have a good time, AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!! What was supposed to be a romantic honeymoon experience, came out to be a disaster! There is a waiter at the hotel restaurant who is extremely arrogant and rude to customers. A person who makes faces, mocks and makes jokes of the customers, behind their back! He is a bald one, middle aged, not very tall and wears glasses. He yelled at me when I asked for an explanation about the many and left making fun of me."

"This was my second stay at I Ginepri. I first visited exactly two years earlier and by this visit, they had done further renovations. I would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff were all kind and friendly. The location couldn’t be more perfect!!! Plenty of parking. During both stays I was in fully renovated rooms with new furnishings and beautifully appointed, fresh/clean bathrooms. Breakfast was a typically European continental, buffet style situation. It’s not fantastic, or showy. Just simple: a lot of cakes and pastries….could use more fruit and veg. My only complaint (and it’s more about me than them)…. I’m a solo traveler and was given a “classic room”. Which to my surprise was a tiny triangular shaped room with a little single bed. It reminded me of my uni dorm room. I’m a big man…middle aged, and not used to such a small bed. Just because I’m single doesn’t mean I’m happy with a room literally built for one. I seemed to be the only single guy there…all were couples of all ages….so it makes sense that this was the room I was given. I would have preferred to choose a room with an adult sized bed. Still, it had a great balcony which I used quite a bit, and all in all, the room did its job. As someone else pointed out, sound transference is terrible. Don’t fart…the neighbors will know about it. But I would definitely stay here a third time…I’d just ask to be sure to have a room with a larger bed. I trust this place. And I like it there, very much."

"We had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Il Querceto with our film crew, and it exceeded all our expectations. The hotel is set in a beautiful, peaceful location with stunning views of the surrounding mountains, making it a perfect place to relax after a busy day. Our rooms were spotless, comfortable, and impeccably maintained throughout our stay. What truly made this hotel special was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, professional, and always willing to help with a smile. Organizing accommodation for a large film crew is never easy, but Massimiliano and his team handled everything flawlessly and made us feel genuinely welcome from the very first day. The breakfast and dinners were delicious, with excellent local cuisine and plenty of choice. Every detail reflected the care and passion of the people working here. We are sincerely grateful for such a wonderful experience and would happily stay here again. Whether you’re visiting Sardinia for business, an active holiday, or simply to relax, Hotel Il Querceto is an outstanding choice. Highly recommended!"

"The lady who greeted us (I guessed she was the owner) was extremely unfriendly. Because I forgot to select "having a child" when booking the hotel, she looked unhappy and said there were three of us. I explained that I hadn't noticed this requirement when booking, and that we could share a bed with the child and pay extra. I had already offered to pay for the child, but she still looked reluctant, muttering, "Of course you can share one bed with your kid..." I asked her how we could check in, and she charged me 135 euros. She kept looking unhappy and muttering throughout the entire visit, but when a foreigner next to her asked her a question, she turned around and greeted them with a smile. I suspect she has a prejudice against Chinese people. 3000 RMB per night, zero service, and a consistently unfriendly attitude. When checking out, I asked her where to catch the bus back to the airport (there's only one bus from town back to Olbja, running four times a day). She actually said she didn't know, which was unbelievable! How could a hotel owner not know such important travel information? Fine, if she didn't know, she didn't know, but she kept muttering that there were only two stops… After checking out, we strolled along the beach for a while and sat on some lounge chairs and parasols with the hotel's name on them. She then told us that we needed to make a reservation to sit there, specifically emphasizing that we could continue sitting there now but we would need to pay. I told her I was leaving Calagone soon, and she still had a long face, standing there staring at us with a discriminatory expression. So I don't know if the parasols are charged for all hotel guests or what. In short, a very unpleasant experience. I suggest Ctrip remove this hotel from its Chinese website."

Ultra All inclusive - long line to the restaurant, too few free tables, about 35% of capacity had marked Reserve. Limited selection of meals and drinks in the restaurant. Snacks only once per stay. Limited drinks in the pool bar only, from 10 to 11 pm. Lobby bar closed, don’t work per our stay. Meals were good, but fewer selection of meat, salami and cheese, sliced the day before. The hotel staff are unhelpful. Evening entertainment was only in Italian and every day was the same program. Beach and pool are great, but the beach could only be reached by long stairs . It's not for older people and people with disabilities."

"We had a lovely time at this wonderful bed and breakfast. Maria warmly welcomed us and gave us helpful information about what to see and do and recommended some great places to eat. The palazzo is gorgeous and has recently been restored. We stayed in a family room with was very spacious and airy. Our son was delighted to have a mezzanine floor to himself and had the choice between two beds. The palazzo has a wonderful rooftop terrace, perfect for watching the sun go down. Breakfast was served on the ground floor every morning. All the staff were very friendly. Palazzo Cherchi has no parking but at this time of year we found parking around the corner very easy. Where parking charges applied they were very cheap indeed. It was our son's 10th birthday during our stay and Maria surprised him with a really lovely birthday cake which made his day even more special. We would whole heartedly recommend staying at Palazzo Cherchi and would certainly stay again if we come back to this area of Sardinia."

"Can’t fault this hotel. Stayed a week. Staff were friendly, approachable and very helpful. There was a problem with our room on arrival and the hotel was fully booked so they booked us into another hotel for the first night while they fixed the problem. Room when we got back on day 2 was great. Restaurant staff were fantastic, especially the maître d’, food was great and service excellent. Only visited the pool once but again the staff helpful and erected an umbrella for us so we could have some shade."

"We absolutely loved our stay at Il Nuovo Gabbiano. The location is fantastic, right next to the port and in the centre of everything. The beach is only a 2 minute walk away! The view from the balcony was incredible with stunning views of the sea and mountains. Despite it being right next to the port, noise was minimal. Breakfast was extra at €14pp each day however we chose to buy juice and pastries from the nearby supermarket to have out on the balcony every morning. The room was fairly big and contained a mini bar (only containing bottles of water) and coffee/tea making facilities. The hotel itself was clean and the staff were always friendly and helpful. There’s no parking, however we parked in the port across the road for €6 per day. We came later in the day so we managed to find a spot, it gets quite packed early morning. The hotel restaurant does great food, I would recommend the Sardinian ravioli with potatoes and cheese!"
