"Hello, my daughter and I stayed at the Sahara Hotel in Eilat in June. The hotel's location isn't very convenient; it's a long walk to the sea. Fortunately, there's transportation nearby, within walking distance. We liked the cleanliness and the large bed. There were no windows in the room, nor a microwave. However, there were tea, coffee, and hot water, and towels were changed. The receptionists were aloof and unhelpful. Next time, I'll choose a hotel with more amenities and closer to the sea."

"I never made it to my hotel. I arrived the city around 8 pm. The surroundings were dark, the map led to a restaurant. When I asked one of the customers of the restaurant, they pointed to different directions. I still followed but could not find the hotel. I had to find another hotel last minute, I never succeeded finding the place. I called the number provided many times, answered with a message that they will respond in 2 hours. Even if I decided to find another accommodation, the hotel never called. This is not a safe location especially for solo travellers."

"PROS * Major gigantic big large hotel * Located on the beach and at the Jordan border * Located in a row of other major gigantic hotels and next to the Jumbo Greece/Kings City retail/wholesale store and near the horrendous and grotesque Ice Mall shopping complex * Nice, unique, special and luxurious * The style and theme is ancient Egyptian and Middle Eastern archaeological excavations and the walls are designed to look like ancient historical sites such as nearby Petra, and even the elevator framings are in the design of ancient Egyptian tombs (see my “helpful” photos ) * An elegant amazing place * Food is very good and very plentiful and it’s very nice a walkway over waterways to get to the dining hall * The rooms are OK. * The bed is really really good and really nice and fluffy and done well * Paid parking lot managed by the hotel is located across the street * There is an area of a massive humongous candelabra which is hung in the lobby from 12 stories high, with a walkway on the 11th floor * The lobby has an open atrium for the entire 12 floors * There is a walkway on the eleventh floor, connecting two hotel towers and providing a broad view of the city of Eilat on one side and epic panoramic views of the Moab Mountains of Jordan on the other side, and of course a scenic outlook to the Red Sea and the borders with Egypt and Saudi Arabia * The cleaning crew does a very good job, as well as the maintenance crew/ everyone and everywhere * a very nice large size super clear and clean (greater than) Olympic size pool * Easy and super close access to Red Sea beach CONS * The Herods complex is located at the very end of the row of massive large high rises northern beachfront hotels- nothing beyond that except for the Jordanian border frontier * One can easily hear all of the water, the flushing in the shower, so clearly clearly from any of the adjacent rooms “I VISITED THIS PLACE”… … because we went on a long weekend with Frame and Nome (and others). We enjoyed it very much. WAS IT WORTH THE COST? Yes WOULD “I VISIT THIS PLACE” AGAIN? Yes ADVICE from IVTP This is a very good and very desirable place to stay, except that it is at the very end of the row of hotels"

"U Magic Palace is located in a central place in Eilat. We travel to Eilat at least twice a year, but that was our first stay at this hotel. The reception was efficient and welcoming, especially Ismeralda, who was great. The rooms were quite comfortabl, nothing overly fancy, but definitely pleasant and cozy enough. Breakfast wad absolutely fantastic with a wide variety of dishes that catered to all tastes. I also must mention Shay, who is in charge of the reception. He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible. Overall, the U Magic Palace offered a lovely experience, and I definitely recommend it for anyone visiting Eilat."

"Disappointing Stay Due to Mismatched Information and Poor Service I was quite disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The information provided before booking did not match the reality at all. For example, the pool closing time was different than advertised, and I was asked to leave the pool earlier than expected. The gym was shown as a free facility, but it turned out there was an extra charge to use it, which was frustrating. Additionally, the breakfast was lacking - there were no cereal plates available, which seemed like a small but important detail overlooked. Overall, the service felt unorganized and inconsistent. I hope the management addresses these issues to improve guest experience in the future."

It's hard to locate as there is no place called palmore city resort. The owner is rude and unhelpful. We had no water for over 10 hrs and the owner told us its not his fault or problem and refused to assist. Please stay away from here at all costs. It's overpriced, no breakfast, not beachfront as advertised. Rude unhelpful owner"

"After a bad experience at Caesars in Eilat the night before, we moved to Neptune early the next day. The staff welcomed us warmly. Although the room was not completely ready, the enthusiastic front desk staff helped us check in first and informed us that they would call us when the room was ready. Although the room was not big, it was very clean. There is a large swimming pool and private beach below. Because the Red Sea beach was really bumpy, we finally chose to swim in the hotel pool. The breakfast is rich and the hotel is very close to the long-distance bus stop. Rush back to Tel Aviv before the Friday Sabbath."

"Overview This is a reasonable place to stay in Eilat and you won’t be disappointed. It’s a clean, modern-looking hotel with decent rooms in a convenient location near the Hilton Hotel. Service We received excellent service from the polite and helpful staff. Even though we only stayed one night we couldn’t have asked for more. They all spoke fluent English. Room Overall we were satisfied with the room. It was not huge but had plenty of storage space. We were unlucky to get one on the first floor that overlooked a construction site next door, but then we only booked at the last minute and were lucky to get any room at all as they were rapidly filling up for the Passover holiday. Other good features of the room included: • A large flat-panel TV that worked well and had a good selection of channels including all the major English news ones • Good lighting • A safe to store valuables • Satisfactory bathroom with good water pressure • Very quiet despite being on the first floor Location & amenities • Good location near the Hilton Hotel. It’s just a short walk to the heart of the tourist strip and the beach although it’s not on the beachfront. But Eilat isn’t a huge place so wherever you stay you’re unlikely to be very far from the action. • There are plenty of buses around although we found it difficult to find the bus stops. Taxis though are so cheap and plentiful that most of the time we choose that as our preferred means of transport. • Lobby and pool area are modern, clean-looking and well maintained. • There is paid internet available in the lobby. Best features The modern, clean-looking interior and lobby, reasonable prices (we paid 460 shekels for a one-night stay in April in a double room with breakfast) and delicious, huge breakfasts. Worst features Room a little on the small side and without a view. Summary At these reasonable prices we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again."

"The hotel was very nice, beautiful pool, great "all-inclusive" service, with drinks and snacks available between the 3 delicious, plentiful meals. There were also surprises left in the room ( wine, chocolate, dates, etc..) We had a huge balcony, that cpukd have fit 10 people! The room and bathroom were clean, but not fancy looking. There were little shampoos, conditioner, shower gel etc. Plenty of towels. Here and there there was a chip in the paint on the wall, but nothing major. People in the adjoining room were smoking and security was very responsive to our complaint and came twice to get them to stop smoking in the room. The staff was really nice!"

"The Sahara Hotel Is a Complete Disgrace — Do Not Be Fooled The Sahara Hotel is hands down the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had, and that’s saying something. The pictures and descriptions on their website are nothing more than a bait-and-switch scam. What they sell online and what you actually get are worlds apart. The room I was given was essentially a closet masquerading as a hotel room. The so-called “queen bed” was literally two single beds pushed together, wedged a foot from the front door. No windows, no natural light — just a dark, suffocating cave that reeked of mildew and neglect. The “furnishings” were a joke: lawn furniture serving as nightstands. Everything about the space screamed cheap, dirty, and depressing. Within minutes of stepping inside, I knew I couldn’t stay there. I had to abandon the reservation and book another hotel immediately — that’s how unlivable it was. When I asked for a refund, the manager, Maia, couldn’t have cared less. She refused outright, showing zero professionalism or basic human decency. Air Canada Vacations, through whom I booked, even tried contacting the hotel to help resolve the issue, and the Sahara Hotel stonewalled them too. The situation was so bad that both Air Canada Vacations and ******* informed me they are delisting this dump from their platforms altogether. That should tell you everything you need to know. This is not just a bad hotel — it’s a disgrace to the hospitality industry. The Sahara Hotel should be avoided at all costs. Do yourself a favor: save your money, your health, and your sanity, and book literally anywhere else."

The dining room is large, the selection of breakfast and dinner was rich and there was a dilemma about what to choose. Adjacent to the hotel is a large swimming pool. You can reach the beach in a short walk. A short walk from the hotel is the promenade, and within a short walk you can reach two shopping malls. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at the hotel."

Service: Service was the biggest disappointment. No curbside assistance upon arrival and security made no effort to acknowledge or help. Check-in was unfriendly and disengaged. Our room wasn’t ready and luggage storage was handled poorly — bags were left in an open, unsecured room with no staff oversight. Front desk interactions remained unhelpful throughout our stay, lacking even basic courtesies. Overall: Good location and acceptable accommodations, but service did not meet expectations. "We were 4 nights 5 days with the retired people...the hotel looks wonderful but some things not so good....in the little room I got (even I am disabled) I got a bath instead of a shower I asked.....only 3 electric sockets,the furniture is very old...at arrivals very nice with snacks....food was wonderful...but the orange juice is 80%water and 20% juice....wifi is very very slow...in 3 days we asked only the second day to make our room....but coming back at 12.50 it was not done....the personal at the hotel was very nice.....and respectable...."
