RheinVilla Arte

RheinVilla Arte ★★★

📍 Rheinallee 1, Remagen

"We were allowed to be guests for 2 nights and we felt very well. Friendship and service were just great. Our (standard) room was in the 3rd OG, was very quiet and perfect for us. It is also a great breakfast to be highlighted. The only (small) criticism is the fact that the corners of the rooms were fabrics in the whole house. There should be more or more cleaned, it is simply not beautiful to look."

StadtHotel Arte

StadtHotel Arte ★★★

📍 Bahnhofstraße 22, Remagen

"The receptionist Marc is very attentive and friendly. Everything was just right during our stay. The rooms are modern and the building is very new with very good parking. The location of the hotel is super central, you can reach everything on foot."

Seminaris Hotel Bad Honnef

Seminaris Hotel Bad Honnef ★★★

📍 Alexander-von-Humboldt-Straße 20, Bad Honnef am Rhein

"A decent hotel with no frills. Well located and within walking distance of the city center. The rooms are small but clean. The breakfast is OK, but nothing special. The staff is a bit reserved. Well suited for spending a day cycling along the Rhine."

📍 Vogtsgasse 6, Unkel

"Overall it was hot (no AC) in the room and the pillows were awful. Unfortunately I slept terribly here. Besides that the hotel is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. It just needs some sprucing up all around from the rooms to the breakfast. The breakfast is your typical European spread: croissants, breads, fruit, jams, cheese and meats and of course coffee. It was all okay. The hotel looks so magnificent when you enter but then disappointment sets in."

Steigenberger Hotel Bad Neuenahr

Schloss Hotel Burgbrohl

Schloss Hotel Burgbrohl ★★★★

📍 Auf d. Burg 1, Burgbrohl

"What a great hotel to spend a night at. You have 3 parking areas to park your vehicle, reception are very helpful. We booked one of the suites, I have never stayed in a room that size for £180. The bed was very comfortable, you then had a sofa bed and kitchenette in another room, and the bathroom with bath and walkin shower was probably the size of a normal hotel room. To get to the room you had to walk through the library so you were basically away from any other customers. Breakfast is very good and has a wide range of food. A very nice hotel, apparently very nice in the winter as recommended by the receptionist."

"The rooms on the second floor were brand new, the bathroom was also new and large. The service at breakfast was very attentive and the people at reception were also very friendly. The one bottle of water in the room had to last for 3 days. It's actually strange, since a bottle of water doesn't cost much. The breakfast buffet was very appealing and everything was delicious."

Seminaris Hotel Bad Honnef ★★★
"Recently stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel is old and you can tell. It is otherwise just clean and tidy. Only my room was not optimal. No air conditioning, curtains are not darkened, minibar in desk has been removed and therefore cabinet broken. Wooden shelf by bed was broken. Shower had no shower curtain so everything got wet. The beds are rock hard! And the pillows soft. When asked if they have firmer pillows the answer was negative. Some advantages... The bar is open until late. Breakfast buffet is extensive and good."

"As I had only booked for the Belgian Easter holidays in September this year, not a single hotel with a view of the Rhine and parking was still available. So we decided to arrive on Easter Monday in the only available hotel that met our criteria. Parking, view of the Rhine, elevator, panoramic restaurant and gourmet breakfast buffet. We decided on a junior suite at 208 per night including breakfast. Two weeks before our arrival we were informed that there was no restaurant left and that we should go somewhere else to eat. We were given recommendations, but unfortunately on two days we only had the option of eating in an overpriced Spanish or Italian restaurant. At the weekend there was a wedding with an impressive 5-course menu, it's a shame that hotel guests are not allowed to be spoiled with the cuisine. Perhaps that was a sign that we should cancel for free, but we didn't. When we arrived we had a cold shower. The hotel was almost empty, so there was no buffet. We had to tick in advance what we wanted to save money. However, it is not clear how big a portion of ham, cheese, etc. is. Furthermore, you don't necessarily know the night before how hungry you will be or when you will wake up. The next few days there was a buffet which wasn't exactly amazing and was rather boring: cheese, sausage and ham, eggs and bacon, fruit but the same selection every day, only at the weekend did we get mettwurst and croissants. So no sweets for the first four days. We are more used to much more modest German hotels. The room is huge and luxurious; more clothing storage space than at home, great bathroom with bath and shower, couch, armchair, balcony and wonderful view of the Rhine. Pillows too soft as usual but we brought our own anyway. The room is relatively quiet although you can hear the ships and the train on the other side of the Rhine. With an outside temperature of 6 degrees it was already quite warm in the room at night, so in summer air conditioning would actually be necessary and a given for the elevated class and price of the hotel. Attention: please bring your own shampoo and shower gel: there is only one small bottle for the room (so you have to share it, although it is barely enough for one person) and it is not refilled even though it was thrown into the trash can on the first day. On the other hand, you get a free bottle of water every day. Conclusion: the hotel is very luxuriously furnished and impressive in the common areas, the suites are also very tastefully furnished. In general, however, it must be said that the price-performance ratio is rather disappointing."
