"Very disappointed with the hotel, the rooms are old, no storage, there was no heating, it was extremely cold, a technician was supposed to intervene but he never came. The sound insulation is catastrophic, we can hear everything the roommates do. The swimming pool was supposed to be heated but this was not the case, the hammam did not work so everyone crowded into the sauna so it was rarely available. We sat on small rattan armchairs to wait for our massage, these armchairs were moldy. The positive points: the staff, breakfast and herbal tea available."

"We received a friendly welcome from the hosts. They all speak English which is a bonus. The room was rather small - it was a room for 2 - but clean and the bathroom was nice with a heated towel rail, which we don't always see in some hotels, and it came in handy as the early mornings were very cold. The breakfast was superb, and the stewed prunes and fruit salad were sublime. Delicious cheeses and thick creamy yoghurt complete the gastronomic delights. Definitely enough to set one up for a day of exploring the region."

"This was a return visit to the superb Hotel/Chateau a charming very French venue. We were met with a very warm welcome by the owners Marcelle, Tim , and Staff. Having checked in our room was excellent and were soon on our way to the first class facilities Indoor Pool/Jacuzzi/Sauna/Gym etc. Then to the delightful Restaurant in the evening for a fantastic meal and good quality wine’s. Next Morning breakfast was of high quality The Hotel being set on it’s own little Island makes it very private with large Gardens Ample parking also a wonderful Terrace perfect for dining in nice weather. A short walk into the Town or only a twenty minute drive to lovely Honfleur. We can highly recommend this Hotel and cannot wait to return. Thank you Clive Taylor."

"Stayed here 3 times now on our way to and from Spain. Excellent overnight stop. Great rooms, excellent restaurant, great staff and the added attraction of being on the River Seine with the huge barges going up and down stream. Can't wait for our stop next year!"

La Maison Carpe Diem

"Le Maison Carpe Diem is located near the center of the village of Les Andelys, near restaurants and shops. We were able to park in front of the B&B. The inn is nicely decorated and offers large common areas along with a beautiful private garden area for guests. Our room was very comfortable and clean with a modern bathroom and shower. What makes the inn special are the proprietors, Bruno and Laurentz. They are incredibly welcoming and focused on the comfort of their guests. They helped us with our travel plans and prepared the best breakfast of our 3-week stay in France. "

"We went for dinner one evening in this sublime setting, but what a disappointment! When you order two glasses of champagne, they should be poured at the table and not handed to the waiter ("champagne or crémant"). The meal was bland and minimalist. The service was not up to the establishment's standards. A smile, admittedly, when the bill arrived."
