Premier Inn Falkirk Central ★★★

"Have started here before, but this time the hotel seemed a bit tired and in bed of dinner TLC. It's a shame the Beefeater had closed. Bit disappointed."

Premier Inn Falkirk North ★★★

📍 Bowtrees Roundabout, Houghs of, Airth, Falkirk

"We stayed at Premier inn Falkirk north. Its not got anything around close to eat you have to drive.we arrived to be told no food avaliable from the pub next door as closed and we should of had an email but we did not receive one.failing to be informed before we could of looked around for a pub else where. They did offer a continental breakfast.in the premier inn reception. To our disappointment we we given a cold pastry no fruit or fruit juice or the coffee we were promised. Unfortunately we had to either drive a distance for food or buy from the garage next to the premier inn. The room was ok slept good . On our last day of the stay the pub reopened and we had a good breakfast very good price as we were staying in premier inn."

"This is the most welcoming, accommodating and friendly place to stay. We arrived earlier than expected and Alana the bar manager showed us straight to our room. Our twin room was on the second floor and very spacious. The little personal touches in the room made us feel special. We ate in the bar on both nights and the food was delicious. Breakfast was also superb. Nothing was a bother to Alana, Karli and Lindsay (sorry if I have spelt any names wrong). Would definitely recommend this little gem of a place. 100/10"

Falkirk East ★★★

📍 Beancross Rd, Falkirk

"A return to Falkirk East (Grangemouth) and better than the last stay. The rooms have been done up internally as we noticed new furniture which has opened up a bit of space and refreshed the look. This time we also had a room in the low numbers (9) so were not in the low 20s which are next to the boiler room - the last time we were here in the autumn it was unbearable with the room at 26 with the window open (as much as you can) and 2 fans on constantly. Busy Saturday breakfast in the restaurant with a boxing club in and staff were pushed to keep tables clear, but otherwise good at keeping things stocked (could the supplier though try for pancakes that you can't sole your shoe with for a change). As ever with this site, it needs better signage on the road as the junction isnt well laid out for the adjacent garden centre and turning right on exit is near impossible (always has been though). Overall its a very servicable site with helpful staff and usually one of the cheaper ones."

Macdonald Inchyra Hotel and Spa ★★★★
"The staff are excellent, very friendly and ensure your stay is enjoyable. The rooms in the hotel need updating; I would not choose to stay at the hotel again due to the rooms being quite basic for a 4*, and no safe in the room either. The restaurant area is nice. The bar area could do with an open fire, which would be in keeping with the property and, due to the bar's location can be quite cool. I found the lockers difficult to use; there are no instructions when trying to use them, only in the reception area. I did ask someone to show me, but they were too busy apparently, so I asked another customer to help me. There was no concession for late checkout on New Year's Day; however, upon request, this was granted. You also have to book for breakfast; therefore, on New Year's Day, I had to get up for 9 am to go down to breakfast, which was not ideal. I had paid for the trip online when I booked; however, when I came to checkout, I was charged the full amount again and was informed that there was no log that I had already paid, but when we arrived and checked in, it was acknowledged that I had paid, it was a good job that I had the email displaying that I had paid. Upon further investigation by the hotel, it was noted that I had paid. I thought that I had read somewhere that there was an option for a set menu for NYE, but al a carte was still an option however this was not the case. The food was ok. The stay was made better due to the friendliness of the bar and restaurant staff, all credit to them."

"Looking to stay for one night as attending a funeral Room was clean bed was great As were the reception staff on the Thursday day and night Slept well bit of door banging early in the night as people settled but nothing disturbing Woke early to head for breakfast before changing for funeral Freezing morning with ice on the pavement (.not gritted) No connecting door to breakfast Restaurant adamant no breakfast book advised I needed a receipt (in my room) back out in the cold over the icy pavements up to the room get the receipt He has followed me from the restaurant and is discussing with reception issues with breakfast nos ??? He is advised by reception staff breakfast has been paid I show my no longer needed receipt No apology nothing Debate a little breakfast as you get exactly what you ask for Ie bacon comes as one slice sausage comes as one sausage The food was lovely but space The biggest disappointment was when we returned from the funeral to collect our bags and asked if we could. Use the toilet? NO was the answer What a disappointment that young lady was 😞"

"Had a family lunch here on Sunday a table of 7 and once again the service was absolutely amazing the staff really are so attentive even though both the restaurant and bar were very busy they go the extra mile, the food was lovely as always (teenager couldn’t finish her macaroni cheese and it was boxed up for her to take away no problem at all Got to say as well that the lunch menu is excellent value for money Highly recommended"

Falkirk Apartments - Queen Street ★★★★
"We just left 14, Craignish most reluctantly after a three night stay. It was beautifully furnished, warm with all amenities we looked for and more besides. Lovely and clean, (even in the corners!) lovely and warm. The finding instructions were not clear so we had to phone the given number twice. Our call was answered immediately by a lovely lady who willingly helped us. The area around is in the process of redevelopment, which will only improve the apartments surroundings. Very close to a retail park, buses, cinema and Grahamston railway station. We used public transport for our excursions. More than satisfied. The apartment was over and above our expectations. Hope to return one day."
