"This is our second time at this hotel, and everything is just as wonderful. The villas are comfortable and well-designed: good pillows, firm mattresses, the air conditioner is perfectly positioned (not blowing directly onto the bed), and the housekeeping is always excellent. The food is delicious and varied, both in the à la carte restaurant and at the buffet. The staff is very friendly. The reef is excellent: we saw a variety of fish, turtles, sharks, moray eels, and even an octopus. The access to the sea is convenient, and there are plenty of places to swim with a child (in areas without coral, which is not the case at all Maldives hotels). The beach area is wide."

"Our tour operator rebooked us into Sandies Bathala at the last moment, so had no idea what to expect. Instead of a speed boat ride from Male we were wisked on to a seaplane and after 30 amazing minutes we landed in paradise. Our overwater villa was spacious, clean and we loved the direct access to the house reef for our daily snorkelling. It's an tiny island, the food is lovely and the staff absolute amazing. Management did anything they could to make our stay pleasurable. I can highly recommend this amazing resort."

My child developed a fever upon arrival, but thankfully, the hotel's doctor, nurses, Chinese-speaking staff, room service, and restaurant staff provided wonderful care and treatment. A special thank you to Una, the doctor, the nurses, and Husam from housekeeping – we truly felt a great deal of warmth. Moreover, the island's scenery is absolutely stunning; every photo looks amazing. There are many sea activities available, and we saw hundreds of dolphins! The island also boasts 9 restaurants with a huge variety of choices. I'm sure I'll gain a few pounds after this trip – we really found a gem!!!"
