"Amazing service end to end by the awesome team at Constance Moofushi - from the moment you step out of the airport arrival hall, someone from the team will receive you, for a seamless experience till they send you off eventually at the departure gate. Villa was great, with clear turquoise waters filled with marine life (rays and sharks included!) Would love to be back again"

"Facilities: The overall facilities in the water villas are good! The only drawbacks are inconsistent water pressure in the showers and the mattresses and pillows not being very comfortable… The restaurant in the water villas is also nice! Environment: The snorkeling resources on this island are amazing! They far surpass many scuba diving spots! 👍🏻"

Nika Island Resort & Spa, Maldives ★★★★★

📍 Nika Island Resort, Kudafolhudhoo

"This island may be small, but it is absolutely beautiful and full of charm. The Beach Villas are incredibly spacious and come with a private beach, a jacuzzi, a hammock, and even a Hollywood swing. It truly feels like having your own private paradise. One thing I particularly loved is that the island grows its own fruits and vegetables, which adds a wonderful touch of sustainability and freshness to the dining experience. I also absolutely loved the Italian flair of the island—it creates such a warm, relaxed, and welcoming atmosphere that makes the experience even more special. What truly makes this island exceptional, however, is the people. The staff are simply outstanding—always polite, helpful, attentive, and genuinely caring. The atmosphere feels very personal and family-oriented, making you feel at home from the moment you arrive. Throughout my stay, everyone went above and beyond to accommodate my wishes and ensure that all my needs were met. A very special thank you to Diana, to the head of the restaurant service team, and to the Executive Chef. They are truly wonderful people who made my stay even more memorable with their kindness, warmth, passion, and professionalism. Their dedication and personal attention made a lasting impression on me. I also had two treatments at the spa, and both were absolutely wonderful. The massage therapist was exceptional—professional, skilled, and incredibly attentive. It was one of the highlights of my stay and left me feeling completely relaxed and rejuvenated. I stayed in both a Beach Villa and a Water Villa. The Water Villa was fantastic, but if I return—and I sincerely hope I do—I would choose to spend my entire stay in a Beach Villa. The privacy, space, and direct beach access are simply unbeatable. During my stay, I joined an excursion to snorkel with nurse sharks. It was an amazing experience, and the guide was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout the trip. I have truly fallen in love with this island and its people. Thank you all for making this vacation so special. I miss you already and would return in a heartbeat. ❤️ See you again soon! ️JeKo"

Sandies Bathala ★★★★

📍 Maldives, Bathalaa

"We had our honeymoon here in the middle of March and had an incredible time. The island was fairly quiet and all the staff were extremely helpful and friendly (specially Magic who was our waiter for the week!). Our room was beautifully set up for us on arrival and we were also moved to the Sea Villa one night early which we were very grateful for. The beaches and snorkelling are phenomenal on the island and we were lucky enough to see some amazing marine life. We swam with beautiful fish and sharks as well as seeing corals like never before. I would absolutely recommend doing the couples sunset cruise as this was the highlight of our holiday! The staff on the boat kindly took lots of photos for us and were very friendly. Food options were also great with a different theme each night. Pizza and pasta were there everyday for lunch and breakfast which was a good option when we just wanted something simple! This is something out of the control of the staff but our journey back to Male airport was very stressful as we didn’t get picked up from the island till quite late in the morning. The sea plane did multiple pick ups which meant it took 2hrs to get back to Male. This was the only downside of the whole holiday and again it wasn’t because of Sandies Bathala necessarily, it’s just something to bear in mind!"

"A very beautiful island, with spacious water villas that come with a bathtub and a private pool. The food was excellent, especially the two restaurants that require reservations. Meeru is truly a paradise for meat lovers, and the fusion dishes at Jing were also delicious. When you arrive on the island, make sure to find Lbi at the water sports center — he can tell you the best snorkeling spots. You can also stop by the bar and have some signature drinks with Bandara. Special thanks to Jay, who cleaned the pool incredibly well, so we could comfortably take some pool photos. After the renovation, the air conditioner and pool pump were a bit noisy, but thanks to Lal and the front desk team for helping us switch rooms. That let us sleep well at night."

Gangehi Island Resort & Spa ★★★★

📍 Gangehi Island, Gangehi

"It's our first time in the Maldives - it's amazing experience for us. We stayed in their water villa for 3 nights and 4 days. We avail their full board meal (breakfast-lunch-dinner) but if you want some extra drinks like soda, juice, wine you have to pay extra but basic things like water, coffee and tea are free.. They have their own bar (happy hour at 6:30-7:30pm) where you can have some alcoholic drinks. We are not good at swimming but we were able to do diving and snorkeling with the help of their water activities instructors. Magnificent underwater! The staffs are very friendly and polite, they will help you in any way. It's a small island - you can see everything in less than 20 minutes. If you really wanted to be away from and hustle and bustle of the city, this is the place that you should visit. By the way, if you want to be in the island ASAP booked for the seaplane. But the speedboat is a nice experience as well."

"My wife, step son and I traveled to Ananea Madivaru from LHR on 30 June and returned on 12 July. We flew direct with BA, with a seaplane transfer to the resort and stayed in a 2 bedroom villa. We were on the resort’s Dine Around All Inclusive package. * Kuoni is the way to go. Great organisation prior to trip, arrival and departure support first class. Kuoni rep even visited us in resort. * Definitely fly direct - BA was very good and travelling premium economy was totally adequate for the flight time. Don’t think I could have done it in economy! * Resort arrangements on arrival at Male and on departure were top notch and the transition from Male to resort and back seamless. One of the highlights of our trip was the Seaplane to and from resort, another tick off the bucket list. * Arrival at resort amazing and welcoming, and was especially warm and efficient. * 2 bedroom Villa and pool was outstanding and location on the beachfront close for snorkelling was to die for. Very spacious accommodation. Great to have a separate lounge area and the deck was grand. Cleaning was amazing with lots of lovely touches throughout our stay. Outside shower was brilliant. * The resort is large however, one never felt that it was busy even though it was at 80% occupancy. Buggies on call to get you everywhere. * Restaurants all amazing, we tried all of them and the service and quality were outstanding. * Dine Around All Inclusive is a must in my opinion if you want to make the most of it all. * Facilities and activities plentiful, snorkelling really good and on your doorstep. * All the staff were wonderful and obviously very well looked after by their employers. Friendly and welcoming and really dedicated to making your stay memorable. To name a few who really did make the holiday special: Jennifer, Mariyan (always smiling), Suhail and Ashan in the Sting Bar. Ninja Gabriel in Ikigai. Mustaph in the Asian Food House restaurants. All the buggy drivers but especially Ganesh. Simon the Entertainment Manager. And last but not least the wonderful Ali, our villa cleaner who was amazing. * My wife was spoilt rotten on her birthday by the resort team. * Even though the resort sprays for mosquitoes they are quite plentiful including sand flies. My wife did get eaten early on that required a doctor’s visit, who was brilliant and complementary, so all precautions should be taken if susceptible."

Diamonds Athuruga Maldives Resort & SPA ★★★★★

📍 South Ari Atoll, Athuruga Island, Athuruga

"There’s probably not enough room in this message box to describe how amazing the Athuruga Diamond hotel resort is, from the Amazing staff that work night and day to do anything for you, The gorgeous beaches and coral reef that you’ll find different species every day when snorkelling. It starts with you being met on a pontoon from leaving the seaplane. Being escorted into the reception, greeted with a cold fruit drink and fruit. The front desk are so helpful, A lovely young lady called Lea, make sure me and my mum were really taken care of… and this one on one personal treatment is given to everyone. The dive team are great and have got some good experience. They helped me with a few things. I didn’t even know, The entertainment is good, disco Night, The Maldives night is extra special with workers on the island performing traditional song and dance with live instruments made from the palm trees. The grounds on the island are continually looked after and they regularly ranked the Sand, and if you’re lounging on your beach villa sometimes the staff will come by with a coconut and open it for you so you can have fresh coconut that’s how amazing this island and the people are… Breakfast lunch and dinner are equally astounding with a massive selection of food from freshly grilled fish, or steak, A massive selection of desserts… and if you like things from Home, they have a dedicated pizza oven area where they make fresh pizza… The Wi-Fi is good and strong in the main bar area, but in the room it can suffer slightly, that being said I quite like being disconnected from the world and having no social media pounding me every second of every day… The departure from the island is as amazing as arriving where they provide you with all the detail details you need on the last day even with a nice goodbye message on your bed… this is my second time to this island. There will be a third "

"This is our second time at this hotel, and everything is just as wonderful. The villas are comfortable and well-designed: good pillows, firm mattresses, the air conditioner is perfectly positioned (not blowing directly onto the bed), and the housekeeping is always excellent. The food is delicious and varied, both in the à la carte restaurant and at the buffet. The staff is very friendly. The reef is excellent: we saw a variety of fish, turtles, sharks, moray eels, and even an octopus. The access to the sea is convenient, and there are plenty of places to swim with a child (in areas without coral, which is not the case at all Maldives hotels). The beach area is wide."

Ellaidhoo Maldives by Cinnamon ★★★★
"This is the twelfth time I have been to Maldives. The biggest highlight of this island is that the food is very delicious. The hotel buffet has a variety of main dishes every day. In the eight days we stayed, there was seafood barbecue one day, steak one day, hot cabbage beef one day, Turkish kebab meat sandwich one day, etc. Anyway, they are all delicious, especially the variety of Western pastries and fruits, which are always changing. Every day, there are fried pasta and salads on the spot, which are very delicious! The hotel water house has a disadvantage that there is no stairs to go into the water (so I suggest not using the water house) because the sea view beach house has stairs at the door to go into the sea, so you can go into the sea to see fish anytime and anywhere, which is very convenient. In addition, the hotel beach is not good, but the diving is great. You can see a lot of fish wherever you go into the water. In addition, the hotel front desk manager is very enthusiastic and attentive. When we proposed to go to the island on the first day, due to the hotel's poor arrangement, we wasted six hours waiting in vain. The manager sent us a return seaplane to compensate for our time loss. Thank you very much. This hotel is very suitable for a trip of more than ten days. My wife and I like it very much and will go there again next time we have the opportunity!"

"We were a family of three with a 4-year-old child and stayed at this resort. It was absolutely fantastic as a resort in the Maldives. Our child was thrilled the whole time, getting to ride a seaplane, stay in an overwater villa, and interact with wild marine life. We were very satisfied. All the hotel staff were friendly and professional, and we had a comfortable stay without any complaints. We are so grateful. We would love to visit again!"

Ananea Madivaru Maldives ★★★★★
"We stayed at Ananea Madivaru for 8 nights and had a wonderful holiday. This was my fourth visit to the Maldives but my first stay at Ananea, and overall we had a fantastic experience. The highlights were definitely the food and the villas. Every meal was exceptional, with plenty of variety and consistently high quality. The staff throughout the resort were warm, welcoming and genuinely friendly, and the villas themselves are beautiful—spacious, spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you could need. As the resort is still relatively new, we did experience a few teething issues with our accommodation. However, I have to give special thanks to Hasseen, who handled everything brilliantly. As soon as we mentioned any problems, he responded immediately, arranged for us to move villas when necessary, and made sure everything was resolved quickly. Whenever we messaged our butler, nothing was too much trouble. I do think it would be helpful if guests were informed before arrival that the resort is still going through some snagging and maintenance as part of being a newer property. We personally didn’t mind, as every issue was dealt with efficiently, but I can imagine some guests finding repeated villa problems disappointing at a luxury resort. Between our two villas we experienced a leaking ceiling, rainwater entering around the doors and windows during the monsoon winds, and an unpleasant smell coming from the bath in our Deluxe Overwater Villa that required frequent flushing. The maintenance team were excellent and always responded quickly. The only area where we noticed a real difference in service was housekeeping. In our Deluxe Beach Villa, housekeeping was absolutely exceptional. After upgrading to the Deluxe Overwater Villa, however, the standard became inconsistent. Towels and bedding weren’t changed for several days, there was sand left in the bed, our dressing gowns were taken and not replaced, and amenities such as the vanity kit weren’t replenished, which was frustrating when we needed things like cotton pads. This surprised us given how outstanding the service had been elsewhere. The island itself is beautiful, although we found the beaches a little different from our previous Maldives experiences. Much of the shoreline has a lot of dead coral, making it quite uncomfortable to walk into the sea barefoot, so I’d strongly recommend bringing sea shoes. One side of the island was quite rocky, while another had softer clay-like sand that sometimes made the water appear murky. We also found visibility in the snorkelling channels was often poor during our stay, making daily snorkelling difficult. I’m not sure whether this was due to the season, weather conditions or the island itself, as we’ve visited the Maldives several times in June without experiencing this before. The buggy service was another small challenge. We enjoyed walking around the island where possible, but once we moved to the overwater villas, it became quite a distance "

"Athuruga is an incredibly amazing and magical place! If you have a dream, this place makes it even more beautiful. It feels like living inside a postcard! The food, together with Chef Fernando, was absolutely excellent. He has the incredible ability to make you feel at home, taking care of all those little details that sometimes are forgotten because we have become used to expecting everything to be perfect. But here you find everything: your favourite cured meats, cheeses, pizza, pasta, and even the barbecue… in the Maldives!!! All the waiters are fantastic: kind, friendly, caring, and welcoming ,they almost feel like friends. Layaan is simply amazing, and Abdhull as well… both truly wonderful. The bar team is also fantastic, and the entertainment was incredible, with Giulia singing like a true star! The reef is full of unique beauty, (thank you Francesco, Daniele and Joe) with amazing corals and fish, plus turtles and sharks that make the experience even more unforgettable. We made many beautiful friendships and met so many wonderful people. If we could, we would definitely come back again. And Lea is absolutely amazing! She works incredibly hard to make sure every single moment becomes unforgettable. A dream honeymoon. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making us so happy and for giving us memories that we will carry forever ❤️ Verónica & Luca"
