The Grand Burstin Hotel
"It’s a excellent location with excellent entertainment facilities for families and friends 👍"
The View Hotel Folkestone, a member of Radisson Individuals
"In general the hotel is very clean beautiful location. But as a light sleeper, I struggled as you can often hearing the banging doors. And the night I was there, I could hear a constant alarm noise throughout the night, which felt somebody forget their alarm clock somewhere. Had a really bad night!"
Holiday Inn Express FOLKESTONE - CHANNEL TUNNEL by IHG
"It’s ok for 2 people."
The Southcliff Hotel
"Stunning view of the Straits of Dover and France on the Horizon. Reception was always helpful with advice on the best restaurants and provided extra milk / tea/ coffee sachets for our morning cup of tea/coffee as there was an electric jug in the room. A spacious room with easy opening windows for a fresh onshore sea breeze. The only ‘problem’ was a below standard shower; as the water came out of the shower rose at a warm trickle. Unfortunately the beautiful bath tub could only be filled with shower water, the bath tub taps did not work, which was so slow it became cold, and several boiled jugs of water had to be added to have a luke-warm bath. On checkout the reception staff apologized for the sub-standard shower/ bath. They said that they are in the process of upgrading rooms, and would have been happy to give us a better room with a better shower/ bath. Overall: a wonderful experience."

Chandos Premier Folkestone (Channel Tunnel) Hotel
"I'm going to try to be kind. I was phoned to enquire about my arrival time so took the opportunity to ask about the negative reviews that I'd unfortunately seen after I'd booked. "Just vindictive", I was told. "You can make your own mind up". So I had inadvertently presented him with an opportunity to revisit the presentation of the room, in advance of my arrival, to avoid another negative review... Free parking? Yes, on the road opposite, provided you're away in time. The room had a double and a single squeezed in. There were a few hairs when I pulled back the sheets to the double so I chose the single, which was clean and perfectly adequate. The shower area looked nasty and unmaintained, full of mould and holes but it worked and I had a perfectly adequate shower. Some parts of the room had been cleaned, others hadn't - no cockroaches though. However, there was a huge spider's web above the double bed and one of the lights wasn't working. Wanna rough it and pay twenty quid less than anywhere else? You could manage, especially if your expectations are sufficiently lowered to begin with. As it's not possible to award zero, I consider 'one' to be 'zero' so I'm going with 'two' because it served its purpose for me. See, I said I was kind... "
