La Mela Blu ★★★
"Disappointment • Family The place is nice even if the sea is 18km away by car with a twisting road. Unfortunately I have to share our experience with regret. We had booked for 5 days but unfortunately on the first day of our stay my son was ill (fever, cough, sore throat) and I had to run and take him to the hospital in Rome to have him checked out. I thought the owner would understand and decide to charge only for the night or, understanding the situation, half the total price. Nothing, with total insensitivity and coldness, my wife was told that unfortunately we had to pay for everything because then I would have to clean (clean for one night?). I completely understand that for the god of money no one cares about anyone. But we are talking about a child who was not well and at least I expected more sensitivity. Absolutely not to be recommended, sometimes for a little money you lose out, I will not recommend it to anyone, in fact... good luck"
Furore Grand Hotel ★★★★★
"If you are booking the Furore Grand Hotel expecting a seamless, predictable five-star luxury experience, be warned: you are entering a high-stakes room lottery. While the marketing photos display beautiful, sprawling spaces, the reality on the ground is entirely inconsistent. The vast majority of the rooms are simply not as close to their marketing photos as you are led to believe. Even within high-tier booking categories, layouts and dimensions vary wildly. This inconsistency is perfectly captured in this photo of the Junior Suite, which shows the reality of a "Premium Sea View". This supposed premium view was largely obstructed by dense bougainvillea and, incredibly, a massive orange construction crane, leaving only a small sliver of the actual sea visible from what is marketed as a luxury vantage point. Instead, you have to stand up and actively look for the sea. Other guests have noted being relegated to a completely separate building overlooking a bleak parking lot—and depending on your luck, you might draw a compromised room that looks nothing like what you paid for, even in a higher class. When you bring these structural discrepancies up to the front desk, there is zero desire to correct them. The physical inconsistency, however, is nothing compared to the management style. The leadership here completely lacks a true luxury mindset. The entire operation feels amateurish with an aggressive focus on squeezing extra rather than prioritizing guest hospitality. It feels less like an elite Amalfi getaway and more like a poorly run enclave optimized for transactional hostility. For a hotel charging premium luxury rates, the structural inconsistency and combative management make it a massive gamble. Save your money and book a property that actually understands what five-star service means, where your room and your view will not be a high-stakes gamble at this price range."
Hotel Alfonso A Mare ★★★
"The place is wonderful.... the hotel is so ugly!!! So expensive for that bad service.... please look around something different for the same money!!!"
La Vigna di Bacco ★★★
"We stayed at this property for a weekend and had a truly wonderful time. The Aurora room was truly stunning, spacious, with a lovely shower and a very clean room with a terrace offering a breathtaking view. Breakfast was à la carte, not a buffet; high quality! The owners were truly kind and helpful... what can I say... top property!!"
Villa le Baste ★★★
La Locanda Del Fiordo ★★★
"We booked 10 nights at La Locanda del Fiordo based on the reviews of Luigi and his amazing staff along with the amazing views of the Amalfi Coast...and they all came through! Luigi, the owner and operator, always finds a way to communicate with warmth, kindness, and clarity (speaks great English, too) regardless of the situation. He and Salvadori greeted us with hot cappuccinos and warm smiles upon our unannounced early arrival on Saturday. One of our two rooms was ready so we were able to drop off our bags and head out to explore the coast. Of course, we didn't have bus tickets but he was quick to sell them to us with no up charge and point us to the stop (use Google Maps to find approximate bus stops times along the coastal road). As others have mentioned, there are stairs to navigate to get down to our rooms and the pool and swimming deck, but we found these to be a non-issue and very minimal after walking around the towns and trails of the Amalfi Coast for a few days. That said, Salvadori helped with getting luggage to our room. The rooms (one economy room and one family room w/ a king and two twins) were on point throughout our stay. The air conditioning worked GREAT on these hot July days and each day rooms were cleaned, beds made, and new bathroom towels exchanged without issue. Speaking of heat, the pool came in very handy each day after being out in the July heat. It was down a few flights from our room but offered not only coolness but an AMAZING view of the ocean down below! Though it's not big, it gets the job done to sit and relax. It also offered a great place to connect with other guests. During our 10 days there, we met the kindest people from all over the world! It's not surprising though as Luigi sets the tone for everyone (staff and guests alike) with a warm smile and a "can do" approach. It truly felt like being in an Italian family or community there at La Locanda del Fiordo. Even his daughter, Manuela, was working and we met Tommy (one of the waiters) and his wife. And Vinny and his whole family. Awesome!! Another hit for us was the free breakfasts provided each day. They offered an assortment of fresh pastries, pancakes, warm fried potatoes, juice, water, cereal, and basic omelettes made fresh. Coffees like Americanos, cappuccinos, and iced cappuccinos, are also made fresh for you. Our family loved it all! We had dinner there two or three nights as well and it was delicious! They offer a variety of dishes and drinks along with fresh desserts and frozen treats. We found that we could also order food to our patio by our room if we wanted and Tommy or Salvadori would bring it down to us. La Locanda del Fiordo was just what our family was looking for...easy access to the road connecting the Amalfi Coast towns, beautiful views of ocean and countryside, top notch service and food, and COMMUNITY! We can't say thank you enough to Luigi and his La Locanda del Fiordo family of staff!!"
Al Chiar di Luna - Furore ★★★
Albergo Diffuso Bacco Furore ★★★
"The hotel is located in a quiet town of Furore between Positano and Amalfi. It offers an excellent restaurant that I highly recommend. I have stayed in the hotel part and the rooms are newly renovated, with colourful design and even hand painted wall by a local artist The small balcony offered an amazing see view. The staff is very dedicated and helps on anything. It was a very pleasant experience to stay there."

Casa Lisuccia
La Casa Del Melograno
"The main problem we had with this property is its location. Despite reviews saying it is a good base to explore the Amalfi it is not due to where it is positioned - unless you hire a car. The roads are tight and we didn’t feel confident enough to hire a car and so we had to spend €50 on a taxi to and from the hotel to the Amalfi centre. On our first day arriving we travelled from Sorrento to Amalfi by bus and looking at the map thought we could jump in a taxi to the hotel at a reasonable price - all taxis in Amalfi charged £90 to get to this hotel due to the hotel’s positioning. We were so worried that we would have to pay £90 each way just to get to some kind of centre every day. Umberto the owner said he would charge €50 to the centre but that was still going to be €100 a day spent on just getting to the town and then €50 back to the hotel. There isn’t one shop close by that you can walk to comfortably on foot. The bus stop is up many, many stairs, a fairly long walk around the narrow roads to the top main road but we did this on a few occasions to save on costs!! The room we stayed in was basic as expected for a three star but clean. The balcony was lovely overlooking the sea but in our opinion the view didn’t compensate for being out on a limb away from all shops/centre. Breakfast was said to be included and in most European hotels you’d expect some kind of hot breakfast or maybe some cereal or a continental breakfast, however, ‘breakfast’ was one croissant and a hot drink. This I found to be misleading as it’s reasonable to expect more than one croissant when breakfast is said to be included. Overall if you’re wanting somewhere close to amenities or anything, unless you are willing to drive I wouldn’t book here. If you don’t mind driving, it’s a clean and tidy hotel for the price paid."
B&B Il Canto Delle Sirene
"We had an amazing stay at B&B Il Canto delle Sirene during our holiday. Everything was absolutely perfect — the rooms were beautiful and clean, and the view over the sea was simply breathtaking. A special thank you to Anna, who went above and beyond to help me prepare a wonderful surprise for my wife for our 25th wedding anniversary. Her kindness, attention to detail, and warm hospitality made our celebration truly unforgettable. We felt welcomed from the very first moment and enjoyed every second of our stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and special experience in Italy. We will definitely come back!"
L'Eco Dell'800
"Such a great place, location and view. We throughly enjoyed our stay with Irma. Breakfast everyday was a delicious treat and a great way to start our day. Located 20 - 30 mins from the town of Almafi & Ravello and 1 hour from sorrento & Pompeii. L’eco 800 is in a great spot to explore the Almafi coast and its surrounding towns. You can’t go wrong…. Bongiorno !"
Agriturismo Sant'Alfonso
"We stayed in this special place for a week as part of a G Adventures tour. The views from the property are incredible, and it's a great base for hiking adventures, including to The Path of the Gods or to Mount Tre Calli. It's a family-run agriturismo, and the staff and family work hard at all aspects of hosting. The service was excellent and there were tasty breakfasts every morning, with a huge assortment of sweet and savory items, and fresh farm eggs that were cooked to order. Every night, there were delicious gourmet three-course dinners (like a pasta or risotto to start, a meat dish like pork or lamb chops, followed by a dessert like panna cotta or tiramisu.) The evening server Antonio was very attentive and knew each room number for drink orders from day one. We were enthralled by the quaintness of it all... from the luggage shuttle up and down the hill, to the 120 steps down to the property, to the history of the agriturismo and a viewing of the historic manual grape press in the cellar, and to a cooking demo by owners, Nicolo and Michaela. Thank you for this wonderful stay."
