"The room smelled strongly. Check-in was very late: 4 PM, and check-out was required to be early, between 6 and 11 PM. The service was average. Many charging ports were out of charge. It was very noisy outside until after 10 PM, showing no regard for the customer's feelings. Not a recommended stay."

It had everything I needed, including iron and ironing board. The location is amazing, right in the middle of the town. It was a great value for money. Highly recommended."

"We stayed at Travelodge Grantham South Witham for one night while travelling between places. I’ve stayed at Travelodges before, and this was one of the worst- and I’m not even talking about it being old and dated. The room was filthy. The bathroom was dirty, with black mould streaming from the shower when you turned it on, so I had to wait for it to clear. There was no soap in the dispenser by the sink. The toilet had yellow stains under the seat. The bedding looked fresh but had stains on it, which was disgusting. I know it’s a budget stay, but I’d still expect the room to be clean. There was also no hairdryer in the room, which you’d think would be a near-minimum nowadays. One word: disgusting. Stay somewhere else if you can."

"If I'm honest this hotel was not great value for money. The room was small, not very clean, bed was uncomfortable and smelt musty (I know they make a big thing about being a hotel/inn since 1203 - but I don't want the smell from that era as well). I have stayed here previously and it was much better (or at least the room I was in was better). So I will not being staying here in the future"

"Hotel was advertised very wrongful as ,location is OK, but Bar below with very dirty rooms, smell of urine, alcohol and a room with common/ detached bath rooms , we just entered at 1st floor after payment and returned back to ground floor in next 5 minutes. Very very dirty rooms, in fact don't need to put on *********** or trip.com. We changed our mind ,booked room in Premier Inn, 1.5 miles away at a price difference of only 5 pounds and hell of difference in amenities. They refused to return/ refund any money, even not 50% , rather threatened me to leave the hotel/ bar quickly/ quietly. I never imagined I am in UK 🇬🇧 hotels, rather a backward country, for just 50 pounds they were so furious, in the end I never ever recommend anyone to stay there ,in same price you will get Room in Premier Inn,travelogue nearby with attached bathroom."

"I was in Grantham with my partner for a family party. I'm actually from Grantham originally, so know the town very well. To be honest, most of the hotels in the area aren't the best in the world and very run down in most cases. So, I was pleasantly surprised by the Archway. It's in a great position with a large car park just next to it (free to park after 6pm and on Sundays). You're pretty much in the centre of town as soon as you walk out the door. It's a listed building, so old wooden shutter windows, but we didn't have any issues for our stay. Even with the road just outside. The room was very nice, a reasonable size and actually resembled the online photos. A real bargain for the £50 we paid to be honest. We were welcomed by the owners, who made sure we were comfortable. Our trip was a rushed affair, so we didn't try out the breakfast, but I got the impression that it would have been extremely good given the attention to detail for other elements of our stay. I'd definitely recommend staying at the Archway if you need a bed in Grantham."
