Hotels near Ice Lantern Garden Party in Harbin

This is a budget hotel and I asked for a budget room so my expectations were modest. However, what I received, was below modest from my experience. Room was warm enough and size was tight. Bed was ok but funny round shape. There was no division between bedroom and bathroom which made the shower experience too cold. Also I found a bug in the bathroom (alive). Location was very convenient, but even with that I wouldn’t repeat this hotel.

Nice and not expensive place to stop when you have a night between flights in Harbin. The hotel is very close to the airport (5-7 minutes to drive), close to both terminals: 2 and international. The service is really good, they are always ready to help. The only issue is that foreign tourists can't pre-book shuttle bus in advance but should call to a hotel upon arrival instead, so the free shuttle bus can't be taken without help of locals (by the way, usual taxi will not work in those area, because local taxi drivers in Harbin airport trick foreigners at every step of the way and change routes and prices just on the way; so this is why the free shuttle bus to the hotel must be taken instead, not a taxi). This hotel has also a wechat account, but again you need to call them to check how to add it. I think if hotel solves the problem with the shuttle bus pre-booking for the foreign guests (maybe by email with confirmation?), it will get a lot of foreign visitors who stop for a night or two between flights. Other problems, like communication in English in the hotel, can be solved with the help of Google or Baidu translate...

Think this is a 4-5 stars hotel locally. The lobby is decent, not posh type. The rooms are cosy and beautiful. Kids like the kids room, toys and the sport car bed. All toiletries are provided and have kids version. Very thoughtful. Have a welcome fruits n snacks platters with high class mineral water. One thing we didn’t like about the hotel is it has a weird smell when we stepped out of the lift and walked towards our room. Like ‘salted fish’ smell. Not sure if it is from carpet or some food brought in by others. The smell was also in our room. The hotel is at a busy road junction facing Songhua River. Around there are many local eateries. We had a hard time finding suitable food for us and kids as their local food are mostly beef, lamb and duck innards and spicy. End up we took a taxi and went to a restaurant called Sheng Tian Fu, recommended by the driver. Taxi drivers not many are familiar with this hotel, and have to show them namecard. Not too difficult to get to attractions such as Harbin Polarpark, Sofia church and Zhongyang Street. More convenient to travel by taxi as these places are not exactly very near hotel and it can be cold walking a distance of 1-2km. Hotel provides decent breakfast with reasonable variety. Waitresses are friendly and proactive to chat with you and recommend you what to eat. One of them is called Xiao Liu, nice middle-age lady. Overall, we had a pleasant stay at this hotel and may go back if we go to Harbin again and if the pricing of hotel is cheaper.

Overall room is clean but the bathroom area is without hanger for the clothes which is troublesome, although is mention non-smooking room but the toilet area is with smooking smell while we checkin. The waiting time for lift is longer.

I haven’t been back to the Northeast for a long time. This is the first time since my family moved to the south. Because I arrived late, I chose a hotel that was relatively close to the airport. When we landed, the hotel staff called us and told us that the driver was already waiting, so we could just get off the plane and go to the parking lot. It feels really different. My hometown is changing. The hotel environment is very good, and there are many products of modern technology such as robots! Children especially like it. The staff attentively helped me deliver my luggage to the room. It really feels like going home! The hygiene is okay, at least comparable to some five-star hotels. This stay was very good!

Had to wait for the second room to be ready but we came before 3pm. Room had two skylight windows. Wanted to upgrade rooms but hotel was full. Stayed 2 nights, 2 bedrooms. Location was fantastic. Kevin, the duty manager, was particularity very accommodating and helpful. He helped us with our luggage during the busy period. The breakfast spread was good. Gym was small with two treadmill machines and one all-in-one fitness equipment. But no one was there so you got the whole gym to yourself. TV channels were limited. Bathroom amenities were adequate. Overall it's a good stay.

Harbin left behind my youthful campus days. So every time I go to Harbin, subconsciously, I always want to go back. Thanks to Starway Hotel for its clean and tidy hygiene, delicious breakfast, smart and convenient room facilities, and the enthusiasm on the faces of every service staff and from the heart, bringing me warmth in this red Erbin winter. . Your efforts are enough to impress tourists. Even if there are any problems, they are easy to discuss and polite. I think this is the new tourism experience that Harbin brings to everyone today. The last suggestion is that if possible, when the guests are full, the breakfast room can be temporarily expanded. For example, the conference room can also be used? personal opinion for reference only.

The location is very good, close to Metro Line 3 is convenient to travel, there are two big shopping malls opposite, there are farmers' markets and many good restaurants nearby, and you don't have to worry about eating. The room was small, but it was very clean and the shower water was very comfortable. The hotel service is great, the mineral water that helped to send is warm. There are not many varieties of breakfast but it tastes good, and there are noodles and wontons.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The location was great as it was within walking distance to Central Street and Sophia Church. Service was excellent, the staff were very helpful and responded very quickly. There was free minibar and also dessert every night. Free ice cream was a nice touch too. We were also given some gifts when we checked out which was very thoughtful. My son found the heated toilet seat helpful in the cold weather. Overall an excellent stay and we will stay there again if we return to Harbin. .

Room is neat and tidy. Check in took a bit longer than usual, not sure if due to new staffs. Encourage hotel to practice first come first serve service to minimise neglect to customers. Hotel room is slightly smaller, once open 2 big luggage barely have space to walk. Snacks at the reception was good, always fully topped up. Overall still a great experience staying at this hotel. I like it because it's near to all the famous places at harbin.
