"This was the most hostel-ly hostel I’ve ever stayed at. Truly a blast to the past.
It was about a 15/20 minute walk to the sisters lockout. The walk back is up a hill, but there is a bus.
I thought it was cute that there was a movie on at 8pm every night, and you can request/suggest a film using the form at reception.
My only suggestion is adding some plug sockets next to each bunkbed."

The stay itself was spacious, though the bed was just okay, perhaps the electric blanket made it feel hard and a bit uncomfortable. It had air conditioning and a balcony.
Aside from that, the location is great, right in the center of Leura village next to delicious pizza and ice cream. It's a 6-minute drive to Katoomba center and 12 minutes to the Scenic World (cable car station). It's also right off the highway exit, and there's a Woolworths supermarket nearby.
There's an indoor car park, and they'll give you a remote control key for it.
Everything else was good, except for the hot water issue."

"This was a mixed bag. The receptionist on my check-in day was great, went above and beyond. The other receptionists were okay, but the biggest issue was that the reception was not attended the whole time when it was supposedly open. It also says check-in until 10pm on here, but the information in the hotel says the reception closes at 9pm.
The room was okay, I wouldn't say it was very dark as other reviewers complained. However, the windowshade in the bathroom had a lot of mold growing on it and there were other areas that would benefit from better cleaning/maintenance.
The location was great, about 10-15 minutes from the station, around 25 minutes to the falls and 5-10 minutes to the supermarkets and restaurants."

"I booked this hotel for our 5-year anniversary, as we thought it would be a lovely place to celebrate, with a nice location, great views, and the chance to enjoy dinner at the hotel’s restaurant. Since only garden-view rooms were available on Trip.com, we booked one, and I also mentioned in the notes that it was for our anniversary.
While we weren’t expecting an upgrade, we were disappointed to find our room’s “view” was almost completely blocked by a large tree. For a special occasion, I had hoped for at least a small gesture or a nicer placement of the room.
The restaurant staff were friendly, but it was clear they struggled when things got busy, which affected the overall dining experience.
Finally, at checkout, we weren’t even asked how our stay was, which left us feeling undervalued as guests. For what was meant to be a memorable anniversary, the experience fell short of expectations."

"Been to the estate a few times over many years. Always loving the view, the food and the great hospitality from the whole crew.
This time around, I was very happy to be assisted by Michael from the concierge for accepting our luggage for an early check in, calling when the room is ready, etc. Plus, Michael is also very knowledgeable with all the activities there are.
Bed is comfortable and room is immaculately clean. Due to the rain, it was unfortunate that most of the outdoor activities didn't happen, but we still enjoyed the stay through the indoor pool, air hockey, mirror maze, and ice skating all within the same compound.
There's also affordable EV charging station here.

TTim Captures MomentsWe stayed at Kurrara Hotel Guesthouse as a last-minute booking due to limited availability, but it ended up being a really enjoyable stay. One of the highlights was learning about the history of the property when we arrived, including its origins as a retreat and recovery place for visitors from Sydney. That historical charm gave the stay a unique atmosphere.
The guesthouse had several quiet lounge and sitting areas to relax in, which added to the experience, although we only stayed one night and had limited time to fully enjoy everything before checkout.
A major bonus for us was the EV charging station, which made travelling with our electric car much easier. The location was also very convenient — around a 10-minute walk to the Three Sisters lookout area and another short walk into town for dinner and cafes.
Breakfast was simple but good, although quite busy since the hotel was full and breakfast was only served during a short time window. Overall, it was a peaceful and comfortable stay, and we would definitely consider staying there again.

Ddannys050116As soon as you step into this hotel, it feels like you have gone back to the old times, because the hotel has many years of history and has a retro feel. The scenery outside the restaurant window is very beautiful and worth the money. The only drawback is that the transportation is not very convenient. If you have a car, there is free parking, but I don’t have a car, so I can only take the slope from Katoomba Railway Station to the hotel. It is recommended to come here by car.

Wwh166mThe location is close to the Three Sisters Peak, but it is far away from the lively urban area. It is not convenient for eating and shopping. However, the advantage is that it has an unparalleled window view. After a tiring day, you can check in and rest directly, and have breakfast directly at the hotel. The dinner was also quite delicious. I rested leisurely in the room the next morning before checking out. The bathroom equipment was quite complete and of high quality. In short, it completely met the quality I expected when I spent a lot of money to book a room.

WWelshcakesIt was a very nice hotel. Convenient location, next to the train station and also close to the Hop-On Hop-Off visitor shop. Lots of nice restaurants near by, highly recommend the Thai restaurant called ”Thai Square”. The interior of the hotel had a very charming aesthetic to it and the rooms were clean, spacious and comfy. The only downside is that there wasn't any AC in the room, but they did provide a fan thankfully. It was much needed after a long day of hiking during the summer season. Overall, highly recommend.

GGuest UserThe staff was very accommodating. We arrived early for check-in, and the receptionist kindly allowed us to use the vacant room I had booked. Since I was with my family, this made things much easier—we were able to explore the area without carrying all our bags around. The room was clean, and the location was perfect—close to everything and very accessible. We had a great day and would definitely stay here again!

GGuest UserThis is truly an amazibg stay, very close to the 3 sisters walk, i checked in late and the person at the counter was very helpful. Is cosy lodge with unlimited number of room😂.It has all the amenities needed, a balcony to view the entire mountains. It gets quite cold at night as it doesnt really have a heater. Overall amazing stay.
