Whitby Hotels with Wifi

"At the moment the Royal Hotel is undergoing a multi-million pound renovation project so some rooms that still need a little TLC is only to be expected. I stayed in a standard single with sea view and what a view it was. That alone was worth every penny I paid and, for Whitby, it was a bargain. The room itself was more than adequate and, with the exception of a bedside table for my phone and drink, it had everything I needed. The bathroom was massive, bigger than my own at home so no complaints there either. Whether you want your room cleaned or not, every day a package of tea, coffee, sugar, milk and toilet roll is left for you and if you need anything else, including any essentials you may have forgotten, you just need to ask at reception. We were all even gifted an Easter egg on Easter Sunday which was a lovely, thoughtful touch. The hotel itself is really lovely and I can highly recommend The Fat Badger restaurant and bars downstairs and every single member of staff I spoke to was lovely and extremely helpful. The only downside to booking The Royal Hotel is the climb back up on an evening but it's a very small price to pay for the best views in town."

"A nice comfortable hotel with helpful friendly staff who are easy to communicate with in person or by phone. The hotel is located towards the top part of West Cliff which is good for walking downhill towards centre of town but also the hotel is within a very short walk to the sea view and beach."

"The hostel is on the top of a mountain. After entering the old town, you need to climb 199 steps up the mountain. It is recommended to drive by yourself. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the city center and the train station. The garden is very beautiful. There is a restaurant that provides breakfast and other meals. The front desk is not open 24 hours. Check-in starts at 15:00 on time. Check-out time is 10:00 in the morning. Just throw the key card into the box. The cutlery and utensils in the self-service kitchen are very clean."

"Everything was fine as expected. The TV in the room was tiny, as was the kettle. We visited the Restaurant/bar to have a Latte and a glass of wine but the speciality coffee machine was not working. The wine ( Zinfandel ) did seem rather expensive at £8.95 for a small glass. The breakfast was good but we thought that a continental breakfast should contain more continental items, rather than just Crossaints, fruit/ meats/cheeses perhaps. Overall, definitely in the same class as other establishment of the same type and price point that we have stayed in, priced reasonably overall."
