"The service was very attentive and polite, with smiling staff everywhere. The environment is great; you step right out into a forest with many birds. Upon check-in, they proactively upgraded us to a lake-view villa. It was filled with the sounds of birds and blooming flowers, and there was even a cute little cat outside the house that I fed some meat, hehe. After waking up, I took a walk on the wooden boardwalk. The air was incredibly fresh, and I even got to photograph some birds. There's also an observation deck where you can see the beautiful distant mountains. Breakfast was just average, but everything else was excellent."

"On the way to Huangshan, I accidentally discovered this treasure B&B in Jiande. We were traveling at the wrong peak, so the mountains were quiet and there were few people on that day. The B&B is very stylish, simple and wabi-sabi, and independent from the world. There are many paintings and calligraphy by contemporary famous artists in the gallery, and I feel vaguely that the owner is a distinguished person. The balcony of the room is super large, with a panoramic view of the nearby mountains and distant mountains. When you are in a daze, even breathing is a pleasure. Unfortunately, it was rainy in the evening and I couldn’t see the sunset😭. Maybe it was full of negative oxygen ions and slept very soundly that night. "I didn't take any pictures this time because the experience was so bad, and all our chat records disappeared from the hotel app after we checked out. I rarely write reviews, but I was drawn to this hotel by a parenting blog's 'Frog Family Room.' Let's start with the front desk. This hotel's front desk staff are worse than those at even an average hotel chain; they offer no service, not even a smile. The whole interaction basically revolved around getting me to download their app. No one bothered to tell me about the hotel's facilities or activities; I had to figure everything out myself. I chalked it up to it being summer and a busy period, so perhaps the service couldn't keep up. Then we got to the room I had been looking forward to. It turned out we had to climb a steep set of uneven stone steps to get there. Definitely keep a tight hold on children here! Upon opening the door, it did look pretty, and my child loved it. But that relief lasted less than three minutes before I noticed large yellow stains on the pillowcase. I then saw huge bugs flying around the room; I killed and stepped on at least five of them. The staff offered no solutions, just brushing it off as common due to the mountain location. Considering the price, if this hotel aims to be five-star, then I'm not nitpicking. I decided to tolerate it. I then discovered, on my own, that the hotel offered stream trekking and animal feeding. What a shock! The stream was murky and completely unmanaged, leading to a chaotic scene. The animal area was even worse – it looked like a pigsty in the countryside. I felt sorry for the animals. That night, back in the room, the door didn't close properly, leaving a gap. This resulted in terrible sound insulation, and the cicadas from the mountain made it impossible to sleep. The next morning, at breakfast, frankly, you don't even need to book a room with breakfast. Anyone could just state a room number and walk in; there was no one to check or guide guests. You just had to find a table yourself. Most of the hotel staff were elderly. I don't mean to discriminate, but the management simply wasn't up to par. I can honestly say this is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at."

"My friend told me that Fangwai Hotel is like a secluded paradise, perfect for unwinding. We brought our child here for the May Day holiday and booked a Mufeng Suite on an upper floor. The room size was just right, and the layout was very sensible. The minibar selection was excellent, not just random generic juices, but well-chosen options like Perrier and Voss mineral water. Before we even arrived, the concierge, Xiaoyu, was actively communicating with us and her responses were indeed very prompt. Whether it was delivering mineral water or picking us up from the cafe, the service was always quick. When we first arrived, our room wasn't ready yet, so we went to the Fangwai Hall to do some Song brocade painting, which was a lot of fun. I made one myself, and when my child arrived, the staff member kindly helped them make another, patiently guiding them throughout the process. Everyone had a great time. The vegetables, bamboo shoots, and other dishes in the restaurant were all incredibly fresh and delicious, with a wonderful taste of seasonality. Although the breakfast was simple, it was refined and didn't give the impression of a large selection with little edible food. The toppings for the noodles were very substantial. The service staff were all kind and approachable. Even though it was May Day and the hotel was quite busy, and you could feel the staff were under some pressure, their attitude and efficiency with guests were commendable. Next holiday, I'll definitely book a two-day stay so we can more leisurely explore the greenway along the Xin'an River."

The laundry room has commercial-grade LG washer and dryer machines; my clothes were dry in just 20 minutes on a medium setting. Right outside on the first floor is the Xin'an River Green Way, where you can see egrets flying over the river in the early morning. The Xin'an River is especially beautiful at sunset, so I highly recommend booking a river view room. There's also a restaurant called "Songlin Bieyuan" on the first floor, which offers great food at reasonable prices."

"Extremely unprofessional hotel staff. I didn't see a single smile the entire time. I was even yelled at for taking a little too long to park when I first arrived. Later that night, a cicada got into our room, and they couldn't deal with it. We had to wait a long time before they finally offered to change our room. It was raining when we moved rooms, and the two staff members had cold expressions the whole time. They practically threw our luggage onto the shuttle, which severely damaged our suitcase. We reported the staff's attitude to the hotel, but they didn't take it seriously. It really ruined our vacation mood… And honestly, I can't understand why all requests have to go through their app. There's no personal touch or warmth.
