"Excellent option in Jose Ignacio. Excellent location, excellent breakfast. Rooms 101 is a little small compared to others but still very good. The apartment for 06 people is excellent. All very clean and new. Very very recommendable"

Estancia Vik José Ignacio

Estancia Vik José Ignacio ★★★★★

📍 Cam. Eugenio Saiz Martinez Km 8, Jose Ignacio

"Had a wonderful spontaneous overnight at Estancia Vik and fortunately experienced none of the problems of some reviewers. The staff was absolutely terrific, including reception and restaurant staff. I only had a small salad meal for dinner and glass of Vik wine but the salad was terrific. The breakfast then was outstanding and for the early wakers there is coffee machine and capsules in your room. The rooms are huge (and I stayed in a small one) and very thoughtfully furnished but then again the whole property is a bit of an art museum. Gym use is included but the facility is at Bahia Vik, another of their properties which requires a transfer unless you are visiting by car, this is the only flaw I could during my experience. On the other hand an unexpected horseride was included with the wonderful Carlos who patiently explained lots of horseriding tricks. Staying at Estancia Vik, even for a single night, is pricey but then most similar estancias and wine lodges nearby carry similar price tags. And it is a beautiful, intimate property with a huge land around to roam freely so definitely a worthy once-in-a-lifetime splash."

"Playa Vik Jose Ignacio is one of the most amazing hotel experiences. The location is a stunning ocean view. The rooms, staff, restaturant and pool are impecible. Privacy, charm, beauty, it has it all! The surrounding beach town has trendy restautrants and beautiful modern architecture beach homes - great for a walk in the sun. Very special thanks to the staff: Facundo Maia Maciel Max Alejandro Luciana Tomas Augustina and, Francisco (at Estancia horse ride host)"

📍 Calle Los Lobos between, José Ignacio, 20000 La, Jose Ignacio

"The hotel is clean and careful. The rooms are a little charming, and the breakfast is not so much to be. The guests are sympathetic and attentive but the common area is integrated with the hostel and is a little disturbed at night when everyone decides to cook."

"Excellent location and surroundings. The staff was very friendly, always attentive to every need. The breakfast was varied (I requested almond milk when booking), and they were attentive to that request. Seasonal fruit was served."

Estancia Vik José Ignacio ★★★★★
"We did not stay at the hotel, however we did go to both horseride in a group of friends and have the BBQ dinner on separate days. Both were tourist traps: 1) horse ride: we got saddled up and just walked around the (beautiful) property with no explanation, no history no what was going on etc. Language is not an issue, its just there is no excited, no love of the job at hand. 2) the BBQ dinner was awful, the meat was not good at all (we ate well elsewhere over the 10 days we were in Jose Ignacio ), the service was laughable - they were understaffed and some of the team had no idea of what they were doing and could not explain anything on the Vik wines we were drinking. The 2 vegetarians (announced when we reserved) got 2 different salads! no cheese nothing.... Stick to drinks at sunset - and you will be a happy camper! Mr Vik, in the unlikely case you are reading this - your management needs to do a lot better or your brand is going to be tainted"

"As always with VIK, everything was exceptional — effortlessly so. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. We received complimentary upgrades, our room was ready well before the official check-in time, and the concierge assisted with all reservations, recommendations, and daily plans. The personalized attention to every detail is exactly what makes VIK stand out. Highly recommended, just like all of their properties."

Playa Vik Jose Ignacio ★★★★
"I have very mixed feelings about this place. The good : Great location, Futuristic design of hotel with attention to detail in furniture etc Spacious suites with floor to ceiling windows, Right on the beach, Infinity pool with exceptional sunsets over it, Staff members work hard and try to meet your needs. The bad: Limited staff means important areas like reception are often left unattended. There is refurbishment works as soon as you walk in so access to main building is tricker and also it’s not aesthetically pleasing to constantly see the construction. In our 1,000$ a night suite, the aircon didn’t work and the heating couldn’t be switched off so it got to the point that we were sweating in a 28 degree room and had to stay in the room with the front door open to let air in. The second night our blackout blinds were disabled by the staff without anyone informing us. They tried to get them to work but unsuccessfully and I asked how we are meant to sleep without them and the reply was « oh it’s ok, the sun doesn’t come up until 8am ». I thought that was a strange reply so I looked and the sunrise time was just before 6. And even if it WERE two hours later, for guests who are paying 1,000 a night, there should be no excuse for not being able to close the blinds. In the end, they found a room next door (with working blinds and a working aircon) which we moved into for the last night. The gym has very old rusty equipment which needs changing asap. Details in the rooms and hotel itself need some TLC- scuffing/ peeling paint/ dirty windows… just general neglect. Food was not great. Especially breakfast which only had toasted bread at the « buffet » and the only thing you can request from the kitchen is eggs. For the price you are paying, a full menu would be nice. Also « cacio and Pepe pasta » is NOT plain pasta with a side of parmesan… Overall, the hotel is gorgeous and location is stunning but I really wish the owners/ management would be more present to make it feel less neglected. I’ve put photos of both the good and the bad."
