"The hotel's location is close to the town center. The hotel is large, with very spacious common areas and sofa sections, as well as lounge areas and balconies. Unfortunately, the room facilities are old and the hygiene is poor. There's a strong musty smell in the room."

"A very comfortable hotel with friendly staff, it feels legendary. The only downside is the lack of a lift. The room was quite spacious, with a bathtub. Breakfast was delicious with many options."

"The owners are friendly and helpful. Although there's no reception, it feels like staying at home, with no strict rules, making you feel very free. One morning, I mentioned I needed to eat something because I was hungry. The owner kindly cooked mee goreng free of charge. However, the hot water wasn't working very well. Adi was very friendly and provided a detailed explanation of how to climb Mount Sibayak, including important points to consider. He also helped me repair my rented motorbike. Big thanks to the owner!"

"We looked forward to a restful stay at the resort. However, the guests in the rooms next to us were inconsiderate and rude. It didn't help that the room's soundproofing wasn't great either. On the first night, they checked in late and made so much noise that it disrupted our sleep. On the second night, the group kept ringing our doorbell looking for their friends and playing loud music and talking late into the night. When we informed the front desk, they said they will speak to the guests to keep the noise down. However the noise continued. When we escalated the issue during checkout, the duty manager said she could not do anything about it. I am sure the noisy group had disturbed the other guests staying at the resort too. Furthermore, I don't understand what's the point of choosing a non-smoking room when the guests next door are smoking throughout the night with the cigarette smoke wafting into our room, because all rooms do not have aircon and hence not fully shuttered. We called the front desk to complain but once against their hands were tied. If you were attracted to the activities that they offered online, please do not place much hope in it. For the two nights we stayed, they said the yoga and singing bowls classes were not being offered. Not that it's full but it just wasn't taking place despite it being a daily activity. We also needed to check out early at 630am but breakfast starts at 7am. Some hotels with better service will ask if guests would like them to pack a small take out box, but this place didn't suggest that, and when I asked if they could do that, they said no. The worst part was when their WhatsApp to me as a guest got my name wrong, seriously do they not check their records first?? For an extremely expensive hotel by Indonesian standards, this place is super disappointing. It has a great view but everything else just spoilt the trip. Sure they offered us a return 2 night stay for our inconveniences, but as an overseas tourists why would I return again to Lake Toba that soon when I can travel elsewhere, and why would I even want to stay here again."

"Good day everyone. I will never forget my stay at this dump; you can't call it anything else. Firstly, the bedding was dirty and stained. The 'towels' were two filthy rags, about 15x20 cm. Secondly, the windows in the rooms face the common corridor, not outside. Thirdly, the soundproofing is so bad that if someone uses the toilet anywhere, the entire hotel hears it. Now, about the service. We arrived at midnight, were given keys, and told, 'You can only have halal drinks and food here.' What they meant, I don't know, but I really wanted to leave. However, we were exhausted from our journey, and the money had already been paid. We asked the reception for help with a taxi, and they replied, 'There's a bus stop over there,' and told us to find a taxi ourselves. In conclusion, NEVER stay there."
