I booked a stay for 2 adults and 1 child, as shown in the attached screenshot. Initially, I only selected 2 adults, but then I realized I should add my child to ensure we would all be included for the buffet breakfast. Once I updated the number of guests, the price changed accordingly. When choosing the room, there were two options—one with breakfast included and one without. I opted for the option with breakfast for 3 people, as shown in my booking. However, when I arrived at the reception, they informed me that breakfast was only included for two adults, and I’d need to pay extra for my child’s breakfast. Confused, I checked my Trip.com booking, which clearly showed 3 people. After showing this to the receptionist, they contacted their manager but continued to insist that their hotel system only showed two guests for breakfast. In the end, I decided not to waste time and made another payment for my child's breakfast. The receptionist didn’t smile and came across as a bit bossy, which made the experience even more unpleasant. I felt the service was a little unfriendly and couldn’t help but wonder if it was because I was dressed casually and not wearing luxury brands. I hope the hotel improves in treating all guests with the same respect and friendliness, regardless of their appearance or status. On the positive side, the room was clean and comfortable, with a spacious bathroom. However, the TV in the room was disappointing, displaying programs in low 144p quality—I expected better from a 5-star hotel. The swimming pool is very kid-friendly, and my child had a great time. I also appreciated the thoughtful touch of having dry towels ready at the poolside. The buffet breakfast was quite good and worth the price, though I did notice that some items, like lettuce at the salad bar, were slow to be replenished. I waited for quite some time, and even after checking back later, the area was still empty. Overall, if the hotel can improve its service and attention to detail, I would be more willing to pay for a future stay. While the room and pool were great, the unfriendly service and minor issues make it hard to justify the current pricing.

Kuala Lumpur Transportation

For those traveling for business and tourism, Kuala Lumpur International Airport is the preferred choice when visiting Kuala Lumpur. If you don't want to take a flight, coming to Kuala Lumpur by train is a good choice as well.

The RapidKL network, which includes the LRT (Light Rail Transit), MRT (Mass Rapid Transit), and monorail, are the major means of the city's public transit.

  • The LRT (Light Rail Transit) system consists of the Kelana Jaya Line, Ampang Line, and Sri Petaling Line, covering a significant portion of the city and its suburbs. Operating from 6:00 AM to 11:30 PM, ticket prices range from RM 1.20 to RM 5.30 depending on distance. Trains run every 3 to 15 minutes, providing extensive coverage and reliability, although peak hours can be crowded.
  • The MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) currently includes the Sungai Buloh-Kajang Line, with the Putrajaya Line being developed in phases. Operating from 6:00 AM to 11:30 PM, fares range from RM 1.20 to RM 6.40. Trains are modern and efficient, running every 5 to 10 minutes, offering wide coverage with more lines planned for the future.
  • The Monorail serves central Kuala Lumpur, running from KL Sentral to Titiwangsa. Operating hours are 6:00 AM to 11:30 PM, with fares between RM 1.20 and RM 3.40. The journey takes about 20 to 30 minutes end-to-end, with trains every 5 to 12 minutes. It's convenient and scenic but limited in route coverage.
  • RapidKL Buses provide extensive coverage of the city and suburbs, operating from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM. Fares range from RM 1.00 to RM 5.00, with buses every 15 to 30 minutes. They are affordable and cover areas not accessible by rail, but can be slow and confusing for first-time visitors due to traffic and numerous routes.
  • Taxis are available 24 hours across the city. The initial fare is RM 3.00, with an additional RM 1.00 per kilometer. Taxis offer door-to-door service, though they can be expensive compared to public transport and are subject to traffic delays.
  • Grab is a popular ride-hailing service in Kuala Lumpur, operating 24 hours a day. The base fare is RM 5.00, with total cost varying based on distance and demand. Grab is convenient and often cheaper than traditional taxis, though surge pricing can apply during peak hours.
  • The KLIA Ekspres is a direct train service from KL Sentral to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA and KLIA2), operating from 5:00 AM to 12:30 AM. Tickets cost RM 55 one-way for adults and RM 25 for children. The journey takes 28 minutes with trains every 15 to 20 minutes. It's fast and reliable but relatively expensive.
  • The KLIA Transit also connects KL Sentral to KLIA and KLIA2, with additional stops along the way. Operating from 5:30 AM to 1:00 AM, fares are the same as the KLIA Ekspres. The journey takes about 35 minutes with trains every 20 to 30 minutes, offering a balance between speed and convenience.
  • Car Rentals are available throughout Kuala Lumpur, with daily rates ranging from RM 100 to RM 300. Renting a car provides flexibility, especially for travel outside the city, but drivers must contend with traffic, parking fees, and navigating the city's sometimes complex road system.
