"The hotel is relatively old, but it is near the highway entrance. There are not many choices for breakfast in the hotel, but the staff is quite enthusiastic. The front desk can speak English, but the housekeepers do not understand English. It takes 15-20 minutes to drive to Portimao. It is recommended to go to the Portimao pier to buy a ticket directly to go to the sea, or drive another half an hour to the more beautiful Lagos beach."

"The hotel room and location was great if you want to just relax and have beach time I would stay again The meaks were great For us we did find it a bit out of the way for touring other places and used bolt several times The pool area is nice with both inside and outside pools The beaches were very very nice but did have to work a bit to get down to them. We did enjoy the walk but there was lots of stairs (most places seem to have the same layout) We were there 2nd wee of Feb weather was nice but was not swimming weather"

"Vila Vita Parc is a truly lovely hotel and unlike anywhere I have stayed before. The service is excellent, and the twice-daily room service is very much appreciated. There is a wide variety of restaurants to choose from, offering different styles of cuisine. Although they are slightly expensive, the quality makes the prices acceptable. I would definitely stay here again next time."

"Brilliant vilas! Spacious and clean, they are very well equipped and the kitchens had everything we needed including a Nespresso machine. The private pool was great and there was a nice and large outside table as well as inside table, plus pool lounges. You do need a car, as otherwise it would be hard to get around, but parking on site which is great. A number of close supermarkets so we were easily about to get everything we need and have a much more cost effective and convenient trip, rather than have to pay to eat out for breakfast, coffee etc. We still went out for some meals and there are a lot of local options. Local beaches are quite small so we drove to some of the larger beaches about 30 mins away. Only downside is the sound does rather echo out. We had a group next to us who played a lot of music outside, so that was quite annoying, but it wasn’t late at night and it is quiet inside if you close the door."

Pestana Gramacho Residences
"I had a very disappointing experience at Pestana Gramacho Residences. For three consecutive nights there was no running water in my room — no shower, no sink, and not even the toilet flush. On two occasions, I was forced to use the swimming pool late at night just to wash myself, which is absolutely unacceptable for a hotel of this category. In addition, my room went three days without any cleaning service. Only after I went to the reception personally did they remove the garbage and provide fresh towels. I also tried several times to contact the hotel by written messages, but never received a reply. The lack of communication, combined with such basic service failures, made the stay extremely unpleasant. This experience was far below the standards expected from the Pestana brand. I cannot recommend this property until serious improvements are made."

On top of all of this the staff there and all excellent - by far the most helpful and accommodating team I have ever experienced in my travels. Leading by example Alessandro and his wife are helpful and ensure that they are available to support the needs of customers and deal with any concerns as fast as they can. Their experience and knowledge of the region helped us to find excellent restaurants and beaches. Amazing people who deserve 5 star rating ."

"We booked this place because it is centrally located, close to many beaches, hiking trails, and not too far from Lagos. We had accommodation with two air-conditioned bedrooms (two beds for four adults). The rooms were comfortable and very clean. Our favorite part was the outdoor spaces and the owners. They work tirelessly to ensure everything is perfect and spotless 100% of the time. The outdoor atmosphere is truly unmatched. The breakfast is also carefully prepared. You can really feel the owners put their heart into it. I definitely recommend this place. As for parking, you can pay to secure a spot in the private lot, but we easily found parking nearby without any issues. We stayed for 5 nights and could have stayed even longer without hesitation"
