"I badly needed quiet time off. I booked this last minute, taking some precious time out of work, and spending precious money, so that I could be able enjoy some peace in a new place, and to focus. What I found was the exact opposite. A wedding party is being hosted here, and it is very loud. (Upon checking in, I was advised that there'd be a dinner, but the level of disruption was not conveyed or conveyable). I was also later told by a manager that all the noise would end by 8:30pm - simply not the case. Furthermore, there is drilling in the property next door (so right behind my wall on the top floor) well beyond legal hours. I complained about this three times and have made the decision to move to another hotel, even if it means losing the money for the "best room" at the hotel. Very much not the described experience. Stay away if you want peace and are sensitive to noise. I've been completely unable to rest; I cannot even read and I'm sad of being robbed of precious time."

"Amazing place to stay in Lamu! The rooms are big and very clean, the public sitting areas are beautiful and perfect to enjoy the cool breeze at the evening overlooking the town. The breakfast ist superb and sufficient - every day fresh fruits, juices and pancakes or omeletts. All the things worth seeing in Lamu as well as all the shops are in walking distance. For me most importanly: I really loved the spirit of this place! The best of all is the Host - he helps amazingly friendly with everything: booking trips, explaining ways to go to the beaches and information over the prises, pcr tests, booking flights, exchanging money, just everything! He organises free of cost pick up from the airport. He also gives a lot of useful information over all the good and important restaurants and cafes in Lamu with tips where they serve alcohol and where you can enjoy a vegetarian meal."

"If you travel solo this place is a haven!! Amazing staff, especially the manager. Very quiet, next to the beach. Amazing food (food included in your booking), you can also ask for activities outside the hotel and they can arrange for you. Good warm pool and they make good drinks. Reliable internet should you need to work. Very very comfortable rooms. I have been here every year from 2022 and I love it!"
