Hotel Tannbergerhof im Zentrum Von Lech ★★★★
"What should have been a special evening turned into an absolute farce from start to finish. This hotel advertises two very different restaurants: an upscale dining room and a casual pub. We specifically booked the upscale restaurant through their own website, received confirmation, and dressed accordingly. Unfortunately, none of that mattered to the staff or management. Upon arrival, we were immediately brushed off by a waitress who after quickly scanning their reservation form, assumed we were reserved for the pub and then ushered us in that direction like confused walk-ins. Only after stopping another waiter and showing our reservation confirmation were we escorted back—clearly proving we had booked the upscale restaurant all along. That’s when things went from bad to unacceptable. The receptionist located our reservation but casually explained that their system often books people into the “wrong restaurant.” Despite acknowledging that our upscale reservation existed and was their error, we were told the upscale restaurant could not accommodate us and that we would have to eat at the pub instead. Naturally, we asked to cancel—since we were not being offered what we reserved—and requested assurance that we would not be charged the €200 no-show fee. The manager’s response was astonishingly hostile: eat at the pub or be charged €200. No apology. No accountability. Just a thinly veiled threat to pay for their mistake. Left with no real choice, we ate at the pub we never wanted to visit. The final insult? Nearly an hour wait for food that was mediocre at best—hardly compensation for being strong-armed into downgrading our entire evening. This establishment has mastered the art of overpromising, underdelivering, and punishing guests for its own incompetence. If you value your time, money, or dignity, do not trust their reservation system—and certainly don’t expect management to act in good faith when things go wrong. One of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve had, not because of the food alone, but because of the utterly unacceptable treatment of paying guests."

"Our family had the opportunity to spend a week at the Lech Lodge in both January and March 2026. In January, just like the previous year, we stayed in the loft, which is absolutely wonderful in terms of size and coziness. We were 5 adults and 2 children, and everything was perfect. In March, we stayed at the Chalet Arlberg for the first time, which is also excellent for families as well as couples. We were a group of three for the first few days and then five (3 adults and 2 children). Our golden retriever accompanied us on both stays and is always very welcome at the Lodge. Both of our stays were once again wonderful. We had great weather, plenty of snow, and above all, we had Sabine and Slobi, who, just like in previous years, pampered us along with their team. We always love coming back to Lech. The reasons are the relatively short, stress-free drive (2.5 hours), the wonderful chalets at the Lodge, the ski area and the natural surroundings, the perfect setting for dogs, but especially the care provided by the owners, Johanna and Klaus Moosbrugger, and by Sabine and her team. We’re already looking forward to our next stay at the Lodge, likely next January."

"Very personalize service, as you arrived you quickly fell welcome and part of the tradition that is been going on for decades as this spectacular location. In addition, M Shneider, the owner is available and always around to make sure your stay is memorable. I was lucky enough to get him early one morning and got a private visit of the place and the family tradition behind it. What a moment this was and quickly understand that the staff shares all the same passion. Merci!"

"The Sandhof Hotel in Lech Austria was recommended to us by some friends from the U.K. They said it was a lovely family hotel just outside the centre of Lech and it was! The hotel was in a great location within 5 minutes easy walk to the centre of the village. 2 minutes to the nearest gondola. All the lifts/gondolas are within 5 minutes walk from the hotel. As such the hotel is also close to all the many shops and restaurants. The hotel was very clean and the staff could not have been more welcoming, more of that later. We had a nice corner room which was fine for us and I understand there are bigger rooms but for the two of us the room was perfect. Our son and his wife had the room next door and although a touch smaller was also fine for two for a week. The rooms were well appointed with great bathrooms (shower) with great water pressure. Our rooms were cleaned everyday to a very high standard with fresh towels and replacement toiletries. The bed was made up of two large singles pushed together each with your own duvet and were very comfortable and warm. The room was well heated which could be controlled and there was a smart TV on the wall. It would appear most visitors to the hotel book half board but we only had B&B. However it was no problem booking dinner which we did twice. The evening meals we had were all very nice with great choices 3 mains to choose each night with 4 courses. Also the meals we had were great value for money, eating out in Lech is not cheap. Breakfast is a multi-faceted buffet with cheeses meats fruit breads waffles but also cooked meals were available scrabbled eggs, bacon sausages and a Chef on hand for anything else you might need. All was fresh and well presented. Coffee tea and many other drinks were available. Next to the restaurant was the bar which was very very comfortable, sometimes to comfortable! The bar is very well stocked with one of the best Wine Lists I have ever seen. The bar was run by the very happy and friendly Gabriel who runs the bar like clock work. Nothing was too much trouble for him he was so attentive, without being intrusive, always ensuring we were happy and watered. We had such a good time with him but to be fair all the staff at the Sandhof were great. Thank you Gabriel you made our visit all the better! The Sandhof is a very very nice hotel and worth every penny we spent. The biggest complement we can pay is it will be our 'go to' hotel next time we are in Lech."

"We had a great stay with family & friends for skiing. Food was only average, service at dinnertime very slow but friendly. Rooms are okay, in my eyes overpriced, but that is Lech/Oberlech standard. Matress was too hard for my body weight, woke up every morning with backache... Very nice pool/Spa area, loved that there are books everywhere. Beautiful lobby seating area with open fire, whereas the atmosphere at the bar seating area is dark and not very welcoming."

"I don't think I have ever stayed anywhere so friendly. Everyone from the receptionist to the bar staff were super keen to chat to you and talk about the town, skiing and hotel. We even met the owner who regaled us with stories of his time on the Austrian Olympic ski team. Being this friendly can sometimes be off putting, but at the Kristberg it felt perfectly natural and all part of the unique charm of the hotel. The food was fabulous, a real treat and they cater very well for vegetarians. My room was very comfortable with great views. The only downside was the jacuzzi was not open when we were there but the spa also includes steam room and sauna. It is about a 5 min walk from the main centre of lech and the nearest ski lift. So very nicely located. However it is 5 mins uphill which on tired ski legs can be a little tough - but then is good as a warm down! I thoroughly recommend a stay if you are visiting Lech."

"Stayed at Hotel & Chalet Aurelio from 3 to 10 February 2024. Liked it very much. Hotel and accommodation - cosy bright fairly spacious rooms. With an excellent level of daily cleaning. The hotel bar is a quiet pleasant place to relax after a day of skiing and enjoy great cocktails. The hotel restaurant and its chef deserve the highest praise. All 7 dinners we had were varied delicious and interesting. The hotel staff are professional friendly and hospitable. The experience of staying at Hotel Aurelio fully compensated for the bad luck associated with too warm weather and not the best quality of snow on the slopes. Would highly recommend and will come again. Best wishes Vladimir"

"We had an excellent holiday at this hotel staying in the annex across the car park a minute or two from the main reception. The views from the balcony were fantastic and the room was clean, warm and modern — the food was fantastic, and all of the staff were friendly, helpful, and made us feel very welcome throughout. The ski bus stop right outside the hotel was incredibly convenient a few short steps from the boot room in the main hotel, buses run every 20 minutes and taking only a couple of minutes to reach the village, the cable car and chair lifts. Its also possible after a short uphill walk to reach the button lift at the back of the hotel to access the ski area, this is handy after a day skiing to get back although you can also use the bus back up from the village."

"Our stay at Anthony's Alpin Hotel was one of the best ever! When we arrived we were surprised how large our room was (rm. 22). It had a separate bathroom which was huge! It's truly like an apartment (minus a kitchen) We were there for a week so we really appreciated that we weren't cramped up. And the spa is fabulous! Steam room, dry sauna, infrared sauna and the most amazing massage chair. Plus there are 3 relaxing waterbed loungers (hard to describe) Luckily since we were there after the time change the days were long and we had time for happy hour and spa time before dinners. One thing to know is that although there's a beautiful breakfast area with breakfast included, there's not a restaurant. But there is a bar! Which leads me up to the best part. Rosie and Sabina gave us absolutely amazing service!!! When I saw the bar, I asked about it, and Rosie told me, yes, she can make me a drink! They offered and made dinner reservations, made us coffees in the morning and overall made us feel extremely welcome. I truly can't say enough great things about the service and hotel!"

"My husband and I stayed for 2 weeks in April for the end of the ski season. The skiing was not as good as we had hoped due to warm temperatures, but our stay at Hotel Hubertus was outstanding. One of the best experiences we have had in Europe. The owners of the hotel are very friendly and service oriented. There is nothing you ask of them that they won’t do for you. They make it feel very home like and inviting. All of their staff are very attentive and kind. Their food is abundant and delicious and the rooms are impeccably cleaned. Cake in the afternoon is a nice touch! If you are considering booking here, do not hesitate! We hope to be back one day!"

"Hotel Ulli is a fabulously well run hotel in the perfect location in Zurs, between St Anton and Lech. Lukas Müller and his team are doing a brilliant job in making guests feel at home in the uber comfortable hotel. The bedrooms are large and comfortable, with lovely views on the mountain. The facilities are excellent, from the lounge and bar area, to the spa and sauna areas. The ski room is large and well organised with direct access to the lifts and slopes. The restaurant is serving the best food we’ve enjoyed in Austria, great variety and seriously delicious. The chef and his team are really superb. We look forward to returning next year!"
Alpina Lech - Your Home from Home
"Our family of five spent 10 nights at Alpina hotel in Lech and next time we will stay longer! It was the perfect choice for us - we are so glad we booked it. We stayed in the two bedroom apartment which gave us all space (we have three teenagers) and a kitchen so we didn’t always have to eat out, but we had the luxuries of being in a beautiful boutique hotel. A delicious and varied breakfast each morning, afternoon tea served every afternoon by the fire. The staff were so helpful and friendly. They asked us if there were any other foods we would like served for breakfast and afternoon tea etc. The service was so personalised and warm - it’s just a very special place. We also loved the sauna and steam room, which we used each afternoon after returning from skiing or a lovely walk around town or along a hiking trail. We had the opportunity to chat with other guests from around the world - many of whom have been returning to this hotel for decades (one guest told me she used to sit at the same breakfast table as us with her children 30 years earlier!). Bruno and Gabrielle were always available to help with any enquiries, including making restaurant reservations and ensuring we were given a lovely table at the best restaurant in town. We have skiied in a number of places - including in Switzerland - and this place is our favorite. The location is fantastic - very short and easy walk to the ski lifts, all restaurants and the supermarket. You can’t do better. Book it!!"
