"We stayed in the property on February 3rd... nothing to say about the new and clean room and the same about the bathroom... but there is too much noise, you can hear everything outside and even though it was winter until 3 in the morning!! Then finally we had a big problem, there was no hot water and with a 4 year old it was a nightmare. We called all the available numbers and ...NO ONE answered!! Until the next morning. The agency didn't care a lot and still has to solve the problem... we gave them all the money... but the services weren't there!!!"

"Absolutely beautiful! This was my families second time staying at the Villanova. It did not disappoint. We brought our friends with us this time and we all had a wonderful time. Sam did a great job getting us all checked in and settled. The rooms were all very clean and had good air conditioning. The breakfast was wonderful and the views were stunning. I highly recommend the Villanova for a perfect spot while visiting the Cinque Terre. We will be back. Thank you to all the staff for taking care of all of us."

"Located right in the city center, just a 2-minute walk from the beach and all the shops and restaurants in the pedestrian zone. The large room was very clean with a huge bathroom. Towels were changed daily, and housekeeping was also done daily. Unfortunately, room number 3 is located above a nightclub with a large terrace, and it feels like the sound system is coming right into the room! Luckily, the music stops at 11 pm in September."

From the moment we were met at the gate by the owner Bernardo, and ushered in to meet Valentina, to the moment we departed, we felt amazingly seen and well taken care of by both of them. The beauty of this location, high above Levanto offers breathtaking views that pictures cannot capture. In addition, the delectable breakfast was served lovingly on a porch/rooftop with sweeping views below - unforgettable! The room itself was immaculate, comfortable, and well-appointed. Finally, the hotel itself is a unique experience in that it is a converted church handed down through generations to its current owner and therefore has love at its heart. "

"After comprehensive research about the available accommodations in the vicinity of Cinque Terre, I found the Villanova agriturismo in Levanto, Italy. Once I read about it and saw the pictures on the Villanova website, there was no going back. I booked it for our family of five and we stayed there in May 2025 for eight nights. It could not have been more perfect for our needs. Everything about the Villanova is A1. There is culture, history, gastronomy and scenery. How to adequately describe the scenery from every window at the hotel? Coming from Toronto, a huge and modern megalopolis of some five to six million people, arriving at the Villanova felt like being transported into a magical fairytale village in the mountains. I wasn’t expecting the lush vegetation of the property and its surroundings, all perfectly manicured. And the fragrance of the olive trees, the star jasmine, the mock orange and all the various pines was heavenly. As for the nuts and bolts of the accommodation, it was perfect. The rooms were attractively appointed with antiques, the beds and bedding were lovely, the bathrooms were well equipped and there was plenty of hot water for showers. As for the organic breakfast offered daily, it was so over-the-top wonderful that it bears special mention. A bounteous, delicious repast that we looked forward to every day. And a shout-out to the staff, particularly our delightful and gracious shuttle driver, Giovanna, who took us back and forth from the hotel to town and back. Also, the breakfast staff were efficient, pleasant, quick to deliver everyone’s coffee orders, and completely lovely. I have only one note of caution for North American travellers. In the U.S. and Canada, when there is a hot tub on the premises for the guests’ use, it is generally hot. It was a bit disappointing to have the spa tub merely tepid, especially after a long day walking up the hundreds of stairs of the Cinque Terre towns, and doing 12,000 steps or more. But some of my family members braved the cool water temperatures to get into both pools, and were glad to do so anyway. There was, after all, the scenery to gaze at while there. Thank you to the proprietor, Giancarlo Massola, for his unfailing attention to every detail at the Villanova and for ensuring our family’s stay was perfect. His family’s property is a very special place I hope we can return to one day. MLB, Toronto"

"The hotel was great! Especially we liked that rooms had a table where you could it and so many snacks for breakfast refilled every morning. It’s a happened that throughout our visit we had chance to live in two rooms. Both of them were clean, one was on the first floor with our own terrace and another on the second floor. The first one was older though. Shower was really small and a little bit outdated. In the second room everything was more new. We liked everything except the situation with our check-in. We arrived around 16:30 and administrator seemed to be planning to live and was shocked that we came. She gave our room to someone else and the whole thing was awkward and confusing. She apologised a lot and gave us bigger room and we agreed that we would live 4 days and on the 5th day we would move to another room. Overall our visit was great. Location is good."
