"We have stayed here many times, it's a very well run b&b. Beautiful rooms, really comfy beds, lovely little touches- like home made truffles and fudge (delicious) awaits you in your room. Gorgeously set tables with linen and fresh flowers. Above all the owners are lovely and the breakfasts are on another level. Homemade hash browns and Glamorgan sausages ( I never thought I would ask for a vegetarian breakfast!!"

"We had originally booked a table for Saturday 7th February at 7.30pm online but I received a phone call a couple of days later informing me there was a wake in the pub from 4pm onwards and it was going to be very busy so I was advised to consider my options. We decided to stick with the original booking day/time as it was our preferred choice. However, as my parents in law arrived in Llandovery on the Thursday the toldey went to the pub and they were told the booking had been moved to Friday night without my knowledge or consent. We did however decide to give The Kings Head a try on the Friday night anyway as we were told it would be slot quieter and the service would be much quicker. However, it did not pan out like that as the service was incredibly slow and disjointed and all the meals were average at best and very expensive and did not represent good value for money. After finishing our mains I asked for the dessert menus but after waiting 15 minutes for the dessert menus to be presented to our table with no avail I decided to go and ask for them myself which I duly did. We decided on our desert choices and waited and waited for one of the waitresses to take our dessert order. After 30 minutes of patiently waiting with nobody coming to take our dessert order I had to resort to shouting for attention and wthis time aving the dessert menus in the air but to no avail as I was totally ignored so at this point I gave up. A waitress did come to our table a further 15 minutes later to ask if we wanted desserts but by then it was too late as I'd lost the will to live. When questioned about the poor service the teen waitress told me they had been "very busy" which was not the case at all because it was very quiet in the pub at the time. To round off the night they even tried to add a 10% service charge when paying the bill...why would we want to pay a penny for service as appalling as that? We won't be going back next time we are in Llandovery and would advise anybody wanting a place serving quality food, reasonably priced with exceptional service The Kings Head is NOT it! 👎"

"We planned a short walking break in the area and booked to stay three nights at Drovers from Monday to Thursday. However due to the inclement weather forecast we contacted Mike to find out if we could change our dates. He was most accomodating and everything worked out perfectly for us and we were able to do all the walks we had planned. The property is charming with private secure parking and Mike and Jill are great hosts, their attention to detail is fabulous. Our room overlooking the garden was lovely, very comfortable with good bed linen and good quality towels. The choice at breakfast was amazing and freshly cooked with good quality local produce. Llandovery is a very nice place to stay with a good choice of places to eat in the evening and some very nice small individual shops, the local museum is also interesting to visit and shows off the local history perfectly. Thank you Mike and Jill for a very nice stay."
