Hotel Villa Eugenia ★★★★
"The hotel is in general very good. The breakfast is fantastic. One can even have dates and plums, which aren't commonly part of the breakfast buffets in most of hotels. All the food is anyway of a very high quality. The staff members are extremely kind and helpful, especially the lady in charge of the restaurant at breakfast time and the one with whom I did the check out. The room I was allocated is very nice and well bedecked and furnished. Staying there is a pleasure. The view one can enjoy from the bedroom windows is rather nice. Unfortunately some of the guests' education isn't in line with the excellency of the hotel. No sockets are easily available in the bedroom. Apart from those in which the TV set and the lamps and minibar are plugged in, which are all behind heavy pieces of furniture. There is just one available behind one of the bedside tables. That makes the recharging of the electronic devices very complicated. I had to plugged the kettle into one of the sockets in the bathroom. I raised that problem to the lady at the front desk with whom I did the check in on the evening of the very day of my arrival. She contradicted me and said that I had not looked attentively for the sockets, which is utterly amazing. The hotel team points out that at the reception, they have multi-socket adapters that they are happy to provide to our guests, But that's an irrational approach of the issue. What is the use of a multi-socket adapter if there are no wall sockets to plug it in? It's ridiculous. The music played at breakfast time is awful and at a too high a volume. Thanks Good tere was the option to have breakfast on the terrace, where the volume of that horrible music was rather mitigated"
Hotel Villa Astra ★★★★
"The staff, especially the lady at reception, are wonderful. She spontaneously offered me a head massage and was warm and charming. Since I wasn't feeling well, I asked if I could leave early, which she readily agreed to. She even offered us the option of staying in the room and the park... However, the owner was firm on this point and quite clearly asked us to check out. I found him rather creepy; he paints in a very peculiar style and has an aura that I, as a very sensitive person, didn't like. And he recommended a restaurant that completely ripped us off: Restaurant Knezgrad in Lovran. The waiter there enthusiastically told us about Ernst Wolff, a dangerous anti-Semite, and we paid 55 euros for a tiny fish. Don't go there!!! The villa itself is beautiful, of course, but the owner's paintings detract from the interior's charm, and we were quite surprised to find the guest's shoes under the chair in front of us. Our room was yellow, and a huge painting, along with truly awful curtains, completely ruined the room's old-world appeal. In conclusion, I'd say: sleep there if you don't mind looking behind the curtains in the basement and under the bed, and if you're not bothered by vibrations... otherwise, we'd advise against it."
Hotel Lovran ★★★
"The hotel is an early 20th century building (I think) with the style of the belle epoch and our room had wonderful high ceilings and tall windows with a balcony overlooking the bay. There was a good sized desk and fridge, but no kettle. Wifi was good and the first time in Croatia we were actually able to connect reliably. There were no plug sockets by the bed which was a minor irritation. Breakfast was wonderful with happy staff and a great selection of food. It was lovely to sit on the terrace while eating and relaxing, a wonderful start to the day. Parking is available at the front of the hotel but needs to be pre-booked."
Hotel Park ★★★★
"We stayed one night here . Tour manager told us there are very limited hotels within the quiet town of Lovran.. It is a very compacted & rather boutique style hotel.. And more beauties as we explored it… It is built fronting the beach along meandering road. There is even a ATM and café embedded on the right. As we still have so e spare time the helpful counter staff show us the way to a nearby Kontzum of the neighborhood that is only 10 mins away, kudos! We stayed 3F and single functional lift brought us up-down well. Surprisingly room is card access (not large physical key) and the room view is simply marvelous, have attached pics to share of the breathtaking views of the Adriatic. Really wonderful for us.. Amenities are complete and there have a working heater! However the bathroom is small and one stands inside the curved cubicles to bath, one-step higher. The bed and blanket was esp cozy for me, enjoyed a good night sleep. And the dining experience was equally good too! The dining area is at 1 floor just steps from the lobby. Very cosy yet can seat easily close to 50 pax. The spread for both dinner & breakfast exceeds our expectation and there are some delicious local cuisine (bites, snacks) that is welcoming. Love the Hotel stay!"

"Very nice hostel with a wonderful sea view. Excellent breakfast buffet with salad and pastries. Delicious palacincas, vegetables, jams, and much more. Clean room with en suite bathroom. Friendly and attentive staff."
Hotel Excelsior - Liburnia ★★★★
"We went with the Just You Group. Room was absolutely fine apart from very stained carpets . I had a view over the road but I didn't mind this as it had the evening sun. Bathroom was good, shower worked well. We did have a fire alarm go off twice one night which was scary at 3 am but never heard why. Private beach area not great very small and over crowded, we walked a little to the left and it was a lot nicer. Steps into sea are very slippery with seaweed. Sea is beautiful and clear just the right temp for cooling off. Breakfasts were excellent great coffee , eggs . fruit etc etc. Evening meals were disappointing . Staff were lovely in the restaurant and around the hotel. BUT Robert the barman in reception spoilt our evenings , he was extremely rude to most of our group and we nicknamed him Mr Grumpy. What a shame as most places you go abroad you have a laugh and some banter with the barman this definitely needs to be addressed. All reception staff were helpful and arranged a boat trip for some of our group. Yes it needs upgrading but we enjoyed it, another bonus was free safe."

"It’s so hard to find a place like this. All the services, the rooms and the staff is on another level. Goran thank you so much"

"This small but nice apartment is a special gem - the terrace with a view of the sea and Rijeka is great! Great location, friendly landlords and Lovran as a nice place and a good base for excursions, swimming and hiking."

"Beautiful, comfortable holiday home with a beautiful outdoor area with a view of the Adriatic. Ideal for dogs, as everything is fenced in and the furry friend can move around freely. The old town and the promenade are not far away. Very nice landlord who"
