"Just returned from a lovely time in Malcesine , Lake Garda . Hotel is an excellent choice if you are looking for a clean, friendly and convenient to centre of Malcesine. A few steps to the cable which takes you up Mount Baldo -a must !! Breakfast is served on the terrace or in the beautiful gardens that surround the hotel . Staff are very friendly and cannot do enough for you. The new salt pool brings some welcomed cool waters after a warm day in the sun. We book the Panaramic room overlooking the castle and lake. This was perfect for us as we get married in the castle next year . Whilst staying in Malcesine , we viewed some other hotels for our stay next year . We decided to rebook this hotel as it ticked all the boxes for us. Well done to all the staff for making our stay an enjoyable one . See you next year."

Park Hotel Val di Monte

"We stayed here for my sons wedding, there was 8 in our party ranging from myself to my youngest grandchild of 2. This was advertised as a small family run hotel so we were unsure as to what to expect, however the Park Hotel Val di Monte was a fantastic find. Situated just a short drive from Melcesine this was a perfect location with great views over Lake Garda too. We had two rooms, one family deluxe and one junior suite, the rooms were great , very comfortable, clean and spacious. The staff were absolutely fabulous, nothing was ever to much, they catered for all 8 of us every breakfast and a few evenings too, the food was great and very reasonably priced. All the staff were outstanding and Sharon was very good with the children and assisted at meal times to arrange the tables. On our last morning, we had to leave at 06.00 and they made us packed breakfast for the journey to the airport and made us coffee too. Overall a fantastic hotel and would certainly recommend and I would definitely return when we visit Lake Garda. Thank you Park Hotel Val di Monte."

"We love this beautiful hotel and have stayed many times. This year we had to rearrange at the last minute due to my husband breaking his collar bone. As it was so late, under their T&Cs, they could have claimed all the cost but they didn’t. They even offered to refund the deposit. This is because this hotel treats you as honoured family guests/friends. Thank you Ruggero and Daniel. The staff are the gems in this hotel - all work as a team to ensure you have a wonderfully relaxing time. The cleanliness is exceptional, the gardens are beautifully maintained, the food is excellent - well worth having half board for the variety and quality of the food. The Head Waiter leads from the front and runs a friendly, professional team who take pride in their work. The pool area has beautiful views with many seating options and Antonio at the pool bar ensures you are looked after all day. Reasonably priced snack lunches are available including a salad option. There is also a spa with steam rooms and lounging area although we didn’t use this facility this time. It is worth paying for a larger room as the value for money is still excellent. Views are outstanding for lake facing views. We chose a side facing view looking towards Malcesine and some of the lake as it is cooker in the late afternoon to enjoy a drink on the balcony (we take a travel kettle) / there is a fridge as well to store your locally bought drinks if you like. We drive from England and there is free parking with a fair number of spaces in a nice, cool garage. Bikes are available to borrow. This feeling of welcome comes from the owner and all the staff have ‘bought into’ his ethos."

"We felt very comfortable during our holiday; everything was wonderfully relaxed and unhurried. The breakfast was excellent, and the family is very friendly. The room was clean, quiet, and had a large balcony overlooking the lake towards Limone. Parking was available in the underground garage. We would have loved to extend our stay by two nights, but unfortunately, the room wasn't available for longer."

"I was apprehensive about booking this hotel after reading some shoking reviews, but on the whole it was not that bad and there is only one issue that would prevent me from returning. Location - Small hotel with just over 200 beds. On the northern shore of lake Garda. The transfer from Verona took almost 2 hours fue to numerous drop off points so my first tip is book a private transfer to the hotel. The bus stops are right outside the hotel and it's only 2 Euros to get into Malcesine town centre. Plenty of parking if one is driving and this is charged at 5€ per day. Appearance - Generally pretty good all round, I could be picky about poor paint work or scuffed doors, but there was nothing evident that prevented me enjoying my stay. Pools/Grounds - The hotel does not have any real grounds to speak off, and the pool was smallish and cleaned daily. As it was not huge the water warmed up nicely by the early afternoon. Pool towels can be obtained from reception subject to a 10€ deposit, which is returned when you leave. Beach - The hotel has a tunnel under the main road which leads to the lake Garda shoreline. There are several pebble Beach areas to sunbathe and loads of water sports going on. As the beach areas are all public there are no beds or umbrellas belonging to the hotel. However we really enjoyed walking along the shire line to see the lake from different prospectives. Staff - We found all the staff, warm friendly and helpful. Reception helped us with bus times and recommended places to visit. When I contacted the hotel prior to arrival I asked specifically for a quite room and they responded immediately with a confirmation which was impressive. Bedroom - Our room looked like it had been recently refurbished and had 2 single beds pushed together. That said we did both have a good nights sleep. The room has a good air con system and a free safe. It also had a fridge which was never filled with anything and a colour TV which had 100s of channels but we could not find one in English. Bathroom - The bathroom was a good size, and had very high quality fluffy towels which were changed daily. The room also had a hairdryer and the shower was hot and powerful. The hotel does provide hand wash, shampoo and shower gel in dispensers attached to the walls. They were adequate but if this an issue for some people, then I recommend you bring your own. Entertainment - This is easy to comment on, as there is none at all, so I strongly recommend bringing your own cards and games etc. WiFi - Free and powerful throughout the hotel. Trips - We went into Malcesine on the bus to explore the old town and the castle, we also took the cable car to the top of Mount Baldo to walk some trails and go walking with Alpacas. Another good day trip we undertook was ro take the ferry across the lake to Limone, it was only €10 each and is a nice day out to see another lakeside town. My wife also did stand up paddle boarding on the lake which she really enjoyed. F"

"Amazing Hotel. Such a nice family-owned hotel. They showed great hospitality and were the best hosts. Wonderful breakfast. Close to the beach, the cable car and city center. Cute garden with a small pool. Very clean rooms and delicious taste in home decor. Perfect place to stay for couples. I give this hotel the very best recommendation!"
