"Found this Pet-Friendly accommodation on Airbnb and turned out to be one of the best places I've ever stayed. Beautiful surroundings, aimed for disconnection, a real gem hidden in Punta Ballena, Uruguay. People is really friendly and ready to make your holiday always a little bit better, super attentive and awesome organic food. The garden is amazing and decoration is top of the rock, with upcycling concepts and welding handcrafted pieces of art all around the place. If you're planning on visiting Punta del Este anytime soon, save this place beacuse it is a MUST!"

"Room was okay cleaned when it comes to flooring. On the other hand, on the A/C unit there was taped a menstrual pad and a empty sigarette pack in front of the light to conceal it, god knows how long it has been there. Housekeepers just clean the flooring roughly and makes the bed.. Also there is no airport transportation as advertised. And most of the staff does not talk english, so if you don't know spanish, prepare to use Google translate.. Breakfast was ok, can hear everything going on in the hallway and some noise from the street at night aswell. To be expected with the location of the hotel. Also strict when it comes to checking in more guests to your room, not willing to take the remaining days i already paid for as "payment" for days with an extra guest in my room, when i ended up checking out a week earlier due to conditions mentioned above."

"We have been back to Serena's food outlets for the last month at least twice a week during the busy summer season. The staff are ALL sweet and pleasant to deal with. Some are new and they are full of promise and authentic hospitality. In particular, Juan, at breakfast is delightful. Evenings in Serena have a wonderful sunset over the sea with relaxed vibe (music was turned lower when requested) and the food is as good as any you can find in Punta Del Este. We are vegetarian so sometimes struggle in Punta Del Este, but the kitchen are consistently very accommodating. I had read other reviews and thought to myself that waiting a long time for your food to arrive or service in general in Uruguay is normal - nobody here is in a hurry and it's why we love the place. It's authentically chill."
