"I will absolutely never be back to Town Lodge Maputo. If you value sleep or peace of mind, avoid this hotel at all costs. There is a neighborhood directly behind the property that plays incredibly loud music. The most frustrating part is that the management and staff are fully aware of this issue. Instead of being proactive or honest, they deliberately place guests in these noisy rooms, seemingly hoping you just won’t complain or notice. Because they chose to roll the dice with my stay, I was forced to pack up all of my belongings and change rooms twice just to get away from the deafening noise. It completely ruined the comfort of my trip. The blatant lack of consideration for paying guests is unacceptable. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else in Maputo where guest comfort actually matters."

"Stayed here for around 5 nights, the first night it was totally wasted because my flight got delayed , but the hotel didn’t do anything about it, lets not talk about goodwill , they don’t even reply to my email, that what was disappointed me , a simple apology would be okay . Luckily trip.com platform helped with a great service and ended up giving me some compensation . However the hotel was okay , a better service response would make it perfect."

Hotel Cardoso
"Hotel staff are very friendly and go out of their way to accommodate your every request. I arrived early (08.00am) and it was no problem to attend breakfast and wait for my room in the lovely gardens with pool overlooking the bay. Also the staff went out of their way when I realized at 0500 in the morning, that I probably should leave earlier than initially requested (for the airport to leave). The cook prepared a take away breakfast and the taxi was requested to arrive earlier. Kudo’s to the hotel staff!. Rooms are well equipped though a bit dated (see other reviews of pictures), but the view made up for this. Especially the sea-side rooms are quiet. The buffet lunch is relatively expensive (26 euro) but the choice of food and the taste were quite good. I would be most happy to return to hotel Cardoso, as it catered to my every need. (Great views, wonderful pool (though not heated I think) and good food selection). There’s a nice restaurant on the left as you leave the hotel (well guarded by security) at the roundabout called Campo Das Acacias. Highly recommended to try."

Would like to recommend this hotel whenever you wish to have a short cozy stay Afrin is the best option...."
