"We stayed in room 84 this time two bed overlooking pool and beside zanzibar. Front door opened to patio with steps to elite pool prob our best location. On here and have stayed lots of times. Ours was not refurbed but we don't care obout that as its a base to explore and don't spend time in room unless sleeping or getting ready so suits us does what supposed to do. If we wanted that we would have gone in hotel!!! It's the best part of caleta we think and have travelled all around island and stayed in diff parts but here is our fav. We buy our own toilet rolls and stuff as self catering so don't expect them to supply it as I said its not a hotel!!! Zanzibar is the best that's our home from home and so chilled a lovely place to relax and meet new friends. Elite pool bar the best with nick and Mike, sad to see flo left but these guys have put 100% in and provide a great atmosphere! Their food is brilliant and their sunday dinners in our opinion is the best in caleta huge portions at good prices 11.95 for 2 course. Also try their sausage rolls , steak pies and cornish pasties homecooked to take away WOW our fav for snack on patio so we go back continuously and october our fav time best weather very hot with little wind and cool at night. We are back in Oct again same place and can't wait"

"Just 20 minutes from Corralejo, find peace and quiet in this charming hotel. Forget the impersonal welcome of large hotel chains; here, the staff will welcome and advise YOU. The restaurant is excellent, with very reasonable prices. One of the waitresses in the restaurant speaks French; otherwise, some knowledge of English is preferable if you don't speak Spanish. A wonderful discovery."

Castillo Playa

"Excellent bungalows close to all pubs shops restaurants ( about a 5 min walk) Self catering as advertised the on-site bar serves excellent food and drinks All staff very friendly, rooms cleaned every couple of days towels changed alternate days too Pool is cold but it is salt water and once in it is lovely We have been coming here for about 5 years now and love it I wish people who give negative reviews would make sure they have the correct complex as the other bungalows with similar name are much further up the hill and no where near as good as the castillo playa bungalows We will definitely be coming back "

Elba Carlota Beach & Golf Resort

"First off it’s a fine self contained holiday resort. Rooms are nice and cleaning staff do a stellar job. There’s a nice mix of holiday makers here too covering English, German, French and Spanish. I believe this leads to a nice respectful environment. The location is a short trip via private transfer, I wouldn’t fancy a coach and the hire car queues at the airport were massive so try and sort that out in advance. We mainly stayed in the hotel vicinity as it was lovely although we did have a day out in Puerta Rosario which was a bit generic to be honest, just a big shopping mall and lots of traffic. The zoo excursion is great though, deffo do that if you are tempted. Right, now the bad stuff… Upon arrival the friendly desk staff were generally confused about our booking and made me take screen shots from my app and email them, they didn’t go through as I spelled the email wrong but it didn’t seem to matter which was weird. After a few minutes of upselling attempts and advice on places to go that was it, so we had to figure out where our room was and how things worked such as towel hire, meal times etc. We went full board for 4 days rather than all inclusive as we don’t drink alcohol. They said at reception that it didn’t include soft drinks although it actually did at breakfast and lunch. We were then forced to leave a 50 euro deposit to cover anything we ordered. All of this knocked us back a bit especially as tired after a long journey. You don’t get a special band to say you are full board. This leads to an interrogation every meal time in the busy buffet restaurant which is massively embarrassing. When we told reception they said it was normal and offered a hefty up charge for all inclusive. Really tarnished the experience for us so probably won’t go back, however if you go all inclusive you will have a nice holiday."

"Great resort with lots of activities and beach access. Booked for half board and buffet hall was wonderful particularly for breakfast. Fantastic views from the balcony. The bar near the reception was fun and energetic with live music, delicious drinks and excellent service"

"Just back from a week at this hotel, food decent, pool ok, pool bar ok, day time entertainment was ok girl tries very hard, didn’t get chance to sample night time entertainment, rooms though are a joke, ours was not bad tidied most days but a few of my friends weren’t touched, biggest problem was the heat even with a fan in the room the heat was unbearable, would I return properly not because of the rooms they definitely need upgraded."

"Only good thing about this place is the location, close to the beach and restaurants and shops. We booked to have 8 nights here, we survived 3 and ended up booking to stay somewhere else for our own health. The place was infested in ants, on the sofa, bed, floor, kitchen tops and bathroom. We complained about them and we were told the cleaners would come which they did, but they told us to spray them with this aerosol which we couldn't that much as i have asthma and it effected it majorly, we tried to negotiate a refund as we spent nearly £700 to stay here but they refused without a thought. We wasted so much food we bought to save money from eating out due to these little ants, you can't even keep food there or leave a drink on the side while you watch TV because it ends up with ants all over it. They don't even provide cleaning products to help keep the areas clean, but yet expect us to keep the ants away.... I used to stay here as a kid and have nothing but happy memories here, but our stay them 3 nights have changed my mind completely and I will not be returning."

Playa Park Zensation

"Our second trip this year as a couple. Love this hotel and all its amenities. Great staff who are friendly and I’ve noticed that a lot of the staff are the same from our previous stay which says a lot about this hotel. Location is perfect. Within walking distance of all local attractions. Rooms were nice, airy, bright and roomy. Food was plentiful and varied. We are already planning our next visit here next year. "
