"This hotel far outreached my expectations. The rooms were big we had a 2 bedroom suite. The rooms were kept clean and towels replenished every day. The evening entertainment was superb! Each night was different and they showcased alot of talent. The food was good and had loads of variety in the main restaurant. The only improvement here would be the snack bar to change the main menu as burgers and pasta everyday was not what I wanted. The best thing about the holiday was the animation team. They made us feel included in every activity and even made sure we were enjoying ourselves when not participating. What really stood out for me was upon my arrival I notified the animation team of my pregnancy that refrained me from participating in the water polo and volleyball, but they were very accommodating and encouraged me to join in and do exercises that were suitable for me. The animation team really made this holiday very special for me! Thank you to you all xx"

"Location is amazing, hotel rooms are nice. Food except for breakfast is awful and not worth paying all inclusive. We ate out most nights even though we had paid all inclusive. Showers were a bit of a pain but our 2nd room for our boys didn’t get towels for 2 days??!! Overall will not book here again"

"The hotel and staff were lovely. The rooms were kept clean and WiFi was good throughout the hotel. They also had good entertainment during the day and in the evening. It was only 5-10 mins in a cab to the town centre and there were shops and supermarkets a short walk away if you wanted to stay local. What they need to improve on is the food. The quality was ok but it was always cold. The heat lamps don’t appear to work. Also as lots of friendly birds pass through they take a nibble or two from the bread baskets. Sort that out and you’re all good!"

"The hotel is amazing and truly earns its 4* rating-all areas are extremely clean and very well maintained including the gardens and pool. All the staff, with the exception of one very grumpy female receptionist who luckily for her didn’t have her name badge on ! but the rest including dinning room, cleaners, gardeners and maintenance were ALL very friendly, helpful and pleasant. The food was plentiful and varied and we thought it quite enjoyable with no complaints at all. The only issue was the bed/pillow as it was like sleeping on a rock and very uncomfortable and the towels whilst clean had obviously done the rounds and were ready for an upgrade. The location at the side of the sea was truly lovey but other than the evening entertainment that the sister hotel provided there’s very little to do on an evening- we were fine with this but some may not be. There is a fantastic public bus service the stop for this is 10 minutes walk. All in all the hotel met all our expectations and I would definitely stay there again we had a wonderful time."

"4 … If you are over 70 this hotel is for you .. Quiet , stuffy with not all facilities not available Restaurants that needed to book were very difficult to book and times 9.15pm only available.. Checked out at 12pm lunch to wait for airport transfer n was asked to pay for lunch n drinks after an all inclusive package that started on the Friday at 5:50 pm due to flight times A 5 night stay was enough Not value for money paid over the odds for winter sun Will not be returning"

"This hotel is absolutely fantastic, the entertainment team especially are second to none constant entertainment throughout the day and the evenings. We travelled as a family of 5 including 2 children aged 5&2 and would definitely go back to this hotel again! The rooms are so spacious and extremely clean, I did have a couple of issues with ants but we mentioned it to reception and within 10 minutes housekeeping were in my room and did another clean around which I thought was excellent service. We didn’t walk to main the town but we did get a taxi and couldn’t believe how cheap it was, €7 return and if you do go to the main town definitely try Fado Rock as that restaurant was amazing! Elba Sara is an amazing hotel especially for families!"

"Food... is hit and miss. Location ... ok. 30 mins walk into the next town or a €4 cab that reception can order, e scooters available outside, €2.50 for 20 mins via the bird app. The one entertainment guy IKEA is great. Absolute nuts, but he's great. Clean and tidy, some rooms have ants thought, mini ones, every member of staff that I interacted with was nice and friendly. Come and make your own judgements. But for a budget hotel all inc it's decent, at the end of the day you get what you pay for."
