"The staff at the hotel were great but this is not an organisation I will ever visit again. We had booked 8 rooms as part of a trip through France however one of our party unexpectedly died just before our trip. All the other hotels we had booked did not charge for the cancelled room but Ibis / Accor refused to refund the room charge. All the costs refunded have been returned to my friend’s widow and my fellow travellers have funded the Ibis charge as we believe it is the right thing to do. This type of organisation has absolutely no compassion and I nor any of my fellow travellers will ever use Accor hotels again."

"The price was high for the quality of room provided. The room was small, but there's still no excuse for the poor design. First, there are no curtains so it was uncomfortable getting in the shower which was directly in line with the window. It was also very bright in the morning which disrupted my sleep. The shower is small and the door opens inward for some reason, which made it ridiculous to get in and out trying to maneuver around the door. There's no way a bigger body could manage. The shower may need new grout because it currently looks quite mouldy. The worst part is that there is no door to the toilet. That is beyond unsanitary. It's also incredibly weird that someone can see the toilet from the bed with no privacy. I am baffled by this room. "

"We enjoyed our stay in a comfortable and very clean room. Breakfast was simple, with homemade bread to toast and enjoy with butter and jam, which added a nice personal touch, even if the variety was modest. The owner was very friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home."

"I don't eat burgers and I don't want pancakes for dinner either, so I only had one choice of hot dishes - grilled meat. The food was delivered quickly and was OK, but nothing more. The Creme Brûlée ordered for dessert was very good for that. The prices were average."

"A beautiful setting on the banks of the river with lovely walks on the doorstep. Very welcoming owners/staff? and a perfectly nice room. Not very luxurious but clean and adequate. We had a delicious dinner served by friendly people and all in all a very nice place to stay."

"We were looking for a true French Chateau, you know one that you read about or see in films. The Chateau de Craon is that Chateau, when you drive up to it through the beautiful grounds it is so amazing. We were warmly welcomed by Loik when we arrived and shown to our beautiful room. You find yourself surrounded by such history and beauty. The grounds are large and a great walk to do, we had a wonderful time exploring them. Breakfast was very good and the day we left very early, Loik was up with us making sure we had everything we need and had our breakfast too. So very kind and helpful. This a place one should enjoy time and time again."
